I agree to some extent. It's an enhancer. It's not going to work wonders in a bad build or bad device though. To me, it's helps a bit in large bore devices and where there's a lot of space for vapor expansion.

I've tried it on some other tanks and toppers but the one I have is specifically reserved for my Killer build.I just need the right tank now!

Folks, have any of you tried the Sophia in an AGR+ tank? The bottom ring of the tank does not have an O-ring in contact with the metal, but relies on the locking ring, so I guess I would lose the ability to remove the coil "in flight" so to speak. I guess that would be alright, I;m already used to draining the AGR+ when a carto dies on me, but is there anything else I need to know about the Sophia/AGR+ combo? :)

I'm kind of curious if the Sophia can be used without a tank as a dripper. I have been looking for a drip atomizer that will work with my gripper enclosed in the tube. Came across this and got all excited.

I have dripped into the Sophia for a few days. Yes it can be done. Keep in mind, it has a "beck" inside the tube designed for enhancement of vapor so juice would have to make it into the hole. I would drip a few drops and blow into it gently. OR you can undo the tube from the base if you have wicks exposed and wet the wick.
But, I wouldn't use it AS a regular dripper.

Bill sells The Dripper which would be better suited to be used as a true dripper.

I have used the Sophia as a dripper. It is as close to my Empire Mods bridge-free attys as I've found in a rebuildable, especially when the wick is trimmed up as close as you can get it to the coil. The Beck doesn't seem to be a problem with the 70/30 NETs I drip, but on the other hand, I bought a Beck adapter to use on other attys and don't really see any improvement, other than as a pop shield. I've tried, I've wanted to believe, but it just isn't there... for me. It may work better on the Sophia, because it has become my ultimate RBA.

WADR to Yankee, Bill, and others who consider "The Dripper" to be one, I don't. Yes, it has the coil directly below the drip tip and air flow up from the bottom, but it uses long wicks and a reservoir where juice gets pre-cooked before getting to the coil. IMO, if it holds more than a couple of drops of fresh juice, it isn't a dripper. 99 and 44/100 percent of vapers disagree with me. They want a "dripper" they can load with a dozen or more drops and vape a long time. "The Dripper" serves that large market. The Sophia is closer to a disposable true dripping atty. This is, of course, IMO and YMMV. Certainly no offense intended to anyone.

I'm with you on that one. It took me a while to get used to using rebuildables, but I'm finding that I really like a short wick. For two reasons, one I like to change flavors frequently. This was the big appeal for drippers in the first place I can have a dozen flavors and never have to change atomizers. Second I work in food service and my smoke break is the only one I get, so 4 drops that lasts about 5 min and I'm good for an hour or so. Not sure what I would do with 10 drops at a time. Anyway this seems like my best bet for what I'm looking for. I think though the only way to know for certain is to spend the money and take a chance.

I'm may, just may be able to order myself two Sophia's this coming week and I'm super excited about it. If there are extras things I should order at the same time with my Sophia's, what would you say those things should be? I can tell you this...I don't think I will be able to do the whole rebuild thing, I'm very confused by it all. I am a very visual, hands on, person to person learner kinda person. I will be looking for YouTube videos as well, of course, but also don't have all the stuff to do any rebuilds. Now, I'm rambling...lol

Depending on your tank you will benefit from a drip tip you can use to refill the tank. If you're not using a tank with fill holes (SnP), I'd recommend you add a str20 and/or nail. The nail can be vaped with as a drip tip but can be an invaluable fill tool. The str10 will allow you to insert the Sophia as well. But the str20 is nice and long. The str20 and nail are long enough to allow you to push out the Sophia through the bottom to work on coil, new wick, etc, while leaving the juice safely in the tank.
This is important with a 45mm tank. Less important but a bonus for 35mm tanks

Also if you won't be rebuilding your own for a while, add premade cups. Just save the ceramic cups as some day you may rebuild them.

Thank you kindly yankeebobo. I was just now lucky enough to be offered a wonderful deal to get me started on my Sofia journey and I couldn't be more excited right now! I'm just so tickled happy really. I still have so much reading and learning to do of course but I'm pretty sure I will get the hang of it. :)

Let me second the STRs! As Yankee said, you need at least a 10mm (STR10) to keep a 45 mm tank sealed while you slide it up to remove the base. It also needs to grip the main tube well since you're using the drip tip to turn the juice flow control. I like the STR 15 for a 45 mm tank.

With a 35 mm tank, the Sophia (45 mm long) will give you enough (10 mm) extra outside the tank to do both the above. However, there are a couple of ways you can get the nice rounded top of an STR, which protects the o-rings when refilling the tank, and gives a 15 mm mouthpiece as above.

The first way is to put an STR5 on top of the main tube. The second is to use the optional 5 mm longer tube/drip tip combo in place of the standard tube. The only difference is the latter doesn't have the almost invisible seam of a standard tube + STR5. These two solutions are for use with a 35 mm tank only.

You can buy a 5-pack of pre wicked ceramics. That'll give you nine ceramics with the two in the Sophias and the two spares they come with, if you want to rebuild them down the road.

Hello I just ordered my Sophia and the tank to go with my provari! Had some questions on rebuilding it ? I was thinking of rebuilding with xc116 ceramic and was wondering do I have to twist wires to make legs on coil. I do not have a zapper is there any ways to do it without a zapper? I can make great coils but never zapped legs on it! Any links on how to? Just trying to prepare myself for her arrival.

A simple & easy way to join NR-R-NR wires, just by hands:

I just use pre-made wires... ;)
