My SVD is coming up on 6 months now. Fire button went "soft" at about 3, but still fires pretty reliably. Never heard of one falling off, but who knows?

No other issues with it. I do happen to like the raised screen. Makes it easy to find with my thumb, and the fire button is then directly under my index finger. And I DO like the multi-button over the single button mods, easier to adjust, don't have to multi-click through menus to get to much of anything. And is there another VV/VW mod that lets you lock the setting?

Some have voiced a dislike of what they call the sharp edges of the tube, but if you're going telescopic, I think that's a fact of life.

3 button is my preference with vv/vw. We're in agreement on the raised screen. My button went soft after 3 weeks. Sharpness doesn't bother me. I like that it's got sharper edges... Easier to hold. And seriously, who is sitting there stroking their SVD? I see that being the only time such an issue would arise. Silliness.

Geez, I still wanna pull the trigger on this but I dunno.. It'll be my first venture into vv/vw mod coming off evod batts that i literally burn through a charge on em. (heavy vaper). Ill still keep the evods for travel and work use, but use this at home n around town

MVP 2.0 may be good for you.

I'd volunteer. The SVD is a fantastic device WHEN it works. Innokin is a very good company in my opinion. They've made updates to the vv v3 to improve an already very good device.

That's what I was thinking, so looked at the other Innokins. I guess the cold fire 1 is pretty nice, but it only uses the shorter batteries, and the ECF library article on batteries specifically says something about the 18650s being safer than either the 18350 stacked, or even the 18350 alone, I don't know the actual technical description of why, but that's what I want. I'd really prefer a non-telescoping, for that reason, only using the longer batteries, but I'm so new to all this, it's hard to get to EVERY PV on the market to see what they offer, what they cost, how they look, what they use, etc. I do like the look of those Sigeleis, very nice; they're a little bit more costly, but if you get a quality product for the additional $$$, I think it's worth it -- to a point. At this point, using all these different Ω toppers, and starting to learn to rebuild them in the next week or two, I really want the vw along with the vv.

But I'm thrilled with the vv3, that's why I bought a 2nd one; I can take my time and really search out the *right* replaceable-battery PV for me. Geez, I've been doing the PC stuff so long, everytime I try to type "PV" it first comes out "PC" and I have to correct it!

Uhhhh... actually I LOVE the sensation of scraping my thumbnail down the stainless finish of the vv3... does that make me weird?

;)

PS: but I'm using the chameleon one more just now, the slick lacquer finish is pleasing in a different way. :D

ROFL!!! Well you know, there was a lot of tactile going on with cigarettes, too... I always kinda rolled it around in my fingers, very absently most of the time, while reading; one of the things I love about vaping is how you can just ignore it for however long, and there it is, ready to vape anytime you pick it up -- unlike cigarettes that would just burn down, and that just infuriated me, they cost so dang much!

But yeah I look for all the ways that I find vaping pleasing... I used to do the same thing about cigarettes, trying to somehow justify the fact that I was committing suicide one puff at a time. So glad I don't have to do that anymore, but now I have to be vigilant against that cigarette fiend that possessed me for 39 yrs; I want that bee-yotch to stay in her cage! Just as I've kept the drunk in HER cage for almost 22 yrs now; one drink is the key that lets her out, so I have to constantly remind myself of all the wonderful points of NOT drinking! (primarily, I probably won't get cirrhosis as my mom has)

Well, one day at a time! At first it's a struggle, but then it fares in to the distant background of your mind. Just need to not forget or old habits creep up. Obviously you know this as being sober for 22 years is quite impressive. Keep it up!

I wish that had been as easy as quitting cigarettes has been; someone here on the forum observed recently that all he needs now is an e-beer and he'll be set! ROFL! I used to fantasize about the "synthehol" they served on 10-Forward, what if that really existed, would I be able to drink it without breaking my sobriety, and stupid crap like that. But yeah, after awhile I no longer thought about it much at all... but I think that 'awhile' was somewhat above 10 yrs... Like I said, I wish THAT had been this easy!

And I figure a bunch of guys that apparently are in love with SW (but only the one from '76 or '77 or whatever it was!) probably know what "10-Forward" is... I always wanted to meet Guinan... ;)

So I'm strongly considering getting a refund from fasttech so I can try the other SKU and see if it doesn't have the same issue. The black fire button has actually begun to sink down pretty substantially and I fear the device won't last.

I flipping love this device, but I don't want to risk it breaking. My question is, does fasttech cover the return shipping or do i have to?

Only have a few days to decide.

You will be reimbursed for the cost of first class shipping to Miami, Fl. for a returned device.

Once you open the ticket, they'll respond and ask you to give them the cost of return shipping to Miami, Fl. Once you respond with shipping cost, they'll reply with an address and an RMA number. Once shipped, you need to post a picture or a scan of the post office receipt showing shipping costs.

When your returned item arrives in Miami, they will dispatch the replacement (assuming it's in stock).

When the return eventually gets back to FT, you'll be reimbursed the cost of shipping in the form of a gift certificate.

Good to know. I'm looking for a refund, not a replacement yet.

It's a sad day in brook's household. I will be sending the SVD back today. I wish the button instilled confidence in regular firing, but it seriously was causing a lot of doubt. I'll be taking the refund since within 45 days on fastech.

I love it, but man if the power button issue wasn't around, it'd be amazing!

I'm going to sit and wait for the SVD v2.

I just parked my second replacement while still working as a collects item. I too anxiously await a newer version. However I fear we are about to be DNA 20,30,100,1000 to death. What will become of us low watt vapers?
