PapaBloog - thank you for the nice review! I have read this entire thread and take much of it with a grain of salt, as I do believe you are honest and enthused.

I am a KR808 faithful user and I do own an EGO, an Elegant, and a PigCig and I have a MaxxFusion on the way.

I started out with a 4081, then went to the regular 510, then the EGO before I found the 808 and that's what satisfies me the most.

Everyone has their "sweet spot" and I am glad you found yours.

I plan on posting my review of the new Bloog once I receive it and give it a few days.

Michelle, I'm not sure which "that" (from your first sentence) you are referring to. One of the models mentioned in the post just before yours (i.e., mine)? If so, which one? The Riva-901 is "just a 901 threaded riva" and you'll notice that I cautioned about its compatibility with Kr8 cartomizers. [I have read that some do work on it. I'm not sure which types.]

The Elegant, however, was designed specifically for the Kr8 cartomizer by an exclusively Kr8 supplier ... as were the Defender and the PigCig, which followed. And, yes, they also work just fine with 901 atty (as do all Kr8 batteries). And (with the appropriate adapter) they work great with other attys. [Since I don't particularly like cartos myself – and since I don't own a 510-based fat batt (ala eGO) – I've been using my Elegant batteries primarily with LR 306 attys.]

Mr. God, I'm going to assume for the moment that I am one of those you feel have been "pushing mods" and/or told the OP that his enthusiasm was unfounded.

To clarify: the fat batts are not mods. [Mods are battery housings; the fat batts are batteries with far higher mAh than those that came before.] They are wider (but no longer) than the skinny batts. In fact my 750 mAh Elegant is a bit shorter than the standard 280 mAh Kr8. And, as a fat batt user (who started with the 280 mAh Kr8 18 months ago): No, I am not impressed by 320 mAh.

As for dampening enthusiasm, I am not one of those who has slammed the OP (although my first impression of his review was similar to many here). [There are a fair number of folks who join ECF, post a sufficient number of times to be released from the New Members forum, only to promote a product ... never to be seen again. Forgive oldbies like me for being wary of an over-the-top review (by someone with the current month's join date) of a brand name that hasn't had the best rep in the past.]

And I do think it is appropriate to post counterpoints (reasoned and with civility) to a review. In my case, I acknowledged my consciousness-raising and I praised the aspect of the PV that impressed me: the cartomizer. As for the aspect which doesn't impress me (the $20 320 mAh battery), I offered alternatives for the consideration of others reading the thread.

Finally, what do you have against veterans? Have I or other old-timers mocked you for your more recent embracing of ECF and/or vaping? I welcome the fresh perspective of newer vapers. I do request that veterans like me (or Vapenstein, who is vaping savvy but not an ECF "veteran") be afforded a modicum of mutual respect. Take a look at his blog sometime and tell us what you think of his contribution to vaping. [So, he dripped in a cartomizer while still on the battery. That rates a chuckle, not a bash. As a 510 man, he's new to this cartomizer stuff and to auto batts.]

Yearh see, I kinda jumped over the quoting, cus your posts are soo long.. I was referring to the elegant, if it were another name for a Riva, and the info you wrote in the bottom, about the 901, witch is similar to my info, is tekst you edited in, AFTER I wrote my post. Tjeck the time over my avatar. I wrote it before your edit. So that should clearafy that.
Its a good idea to tjeck for new posts, before you write in a thread, but I'm shure you know that and its just an upsie.
Whos bashing Vapenstein...? BTW there are autos in 510 range too, and they have the same problem.

Since you say yourself, you wrote it in case there were people that didn't know theres other options for batt, than a 20 dollar 320mAh... Makes me think you kinda havent read the thread, cus there are plenty of posts that inform about the possibility for bigger batts..
That makes your initial post a bit out of place.. Its kinda the wrong place for a (hrm kinda longwinded dude..) post about another 750 batt... And just unlyckily, you wrote it in a thread that has had people on their gard... So naturally you get a reaction...
Hope that clarifies your q's.. And great you've found a device you love.. I've tried most of the bigger batt options, and do feel they are quite unable to satisfy my TH needs.. Thats why I use kr8, even though they have less mAh.....

Are the MaxX Fusion Batteries that come with this kit just standard KR-808 batteries. If not, would a KR-808 battery work with these cartomizers?

Couldn't I just buy a KR8 battery and charger elsewhere and purchase the cartomizers from Bloog and get the same experiece?
Not shure if this is a serious q?
As it says earlyer the maxx batts have more mAh in same length batt(actually they are a bit shorter) It activates faster, and doesn't need primer puffs. This is info told to me from people who have tried it, and from Leaford. I do not own this yet...
But yes you can use reg batts with it. It is kr8 compatible, so you shoud be able to mix and match.
But naturally it wont give the same experience.. Reg kr8 batts have their dodgy moments, the autos I have dont allways perform to perfection.. Their draw is not consistant, even with same brand cartos, and that is some of the things, that are supposed to be made better. One of the major fokuspoints was to get the vaping experience to be consistant as you use it. So its the same every time you pick it up and vape. Again this is what is said about it. Havent gotten my own experiences yet.

Okay thanks. I just figured that if the batery that came with the kit was better due to more mah's I could just get a 380 mah KR8 battery and it would be just as good. I prefer manual switch so that would prevent the problem of inconsistant starts that the autos suffer.

One more question... Would the MaxX Fusion batteries charge on a standard KR8 battery charger?

Yearh ok see what you mean.. They have plans to introduce manuals and xl's. I suppose the xl will be 420 mAh then..
You can use whatever kr8 charger on them. I have no plans of getting new chargers but I'm for damn shure gonna get me one of those freaky nice new pcc's...

I would adwise anyone, with q's to go to Bloog's forum on ecf, cus alot of the info is stated ther, and Leaford's responce time to q's is the shortest I've encountered with any Vendor.

With that said, I've already spent my alottment on e-cig paraphernalia at least until Jan 19, 2011 (break-even day) - but, if anyone has an EGO battery with their favorite carto they would like to LEND me (promise, I'll send it back) - I'll take a couple toots over a few days and do a side-by-side comparison. Leaford and Bloog put their common reps on the line by offering samples to skeptics for review, now - it's time for Janty (or a Janty user) to do the same. The number of times this thread has been hijacked by ego users, well - time for a side-by-side: Bloog vs. Ego - on my turf. Any takers?

The gauntlet has been thrown down...

What? No takers? ;-)

This thread has been a hoot!...The hecklers, the mod squads, you name it. Just a hoot. And you all can see my sig, Im no noob. The prodigy got sold. I use egos (dont care about 3.4 volt vs. 3.7), and I use 808. The 808 line has come a long way since I first tried them. ALL cartos have. But fact remains, there are only so many manufacturers for these 808's..and they are all in china. ALL 808's seem to have improved a LOT. Now some are still just plain junk, but I know EOM is top notch unit right now for those that want good ol' cig feel. We all know bloog doesnt manufacture, nor V4L, or at least you do now. Either way, having more than anyone could really ever use, I still break out the 808, and it reigns supreme for a small auto. Throw you a boge 2.4 ohm carto, or 2.0 on it, and its a champ, no contest, a champ. And quite classy as well. So thanks go to ppl like leaford that tell these manufacturers what needs done, and to them for doing it. Not sure Id believe bloog is any BETTER than what Ive got, but I certainly do believe, if its the same quality, it'll get someone off ciggies pretty darn quick, and I'd be happy with both, regardless of name on that unit, and OP review is on the money...And just to appease the mod squad, I also have a 1000 mah VGO, see the sig...still sportin' the standard kit though. :D...Good review OP. Just knock that dirt off your shoulder, and keep on reviewing :p

Hello ... what would you say the difference is between the Elegant and PigCig? How do you like them? Any info you could give regarding these fatter 808d1's would be appreciated. Thanx!

There isn't much difference that I can tell but I seem to pick up the PigCig more frequently than the elegant. It seems to give just a little more "umph" if that makes any sense?

Has anyone tried the menthol cartos? Still looking for the right Salem ultra wannabe

True menthol flavor seems to be very elusive - haven't tried Bloog cartos yet - but, I presume it's the same DK Tab flavor or at least similar to V4L. If this holds true - your journey is only beginning. If you find a good menthol, let me know because my wife (Benson & Hedges) is on the same journey you're on...

It has hasn't it. Like you, I am amazed at the mod squad since they just don't get that some people, even after owning a ton of mod like devices, still don't want to puff on a box or other futuristic looking tool. They still want something that resembles a cigarette. I know I do. I own two EGOS, a Stick and have owned but sold a ton of other versions that the mod squad convinced me I had to have. I DON'T LIKE THEM. The EGO is ok. The rest look silly to me, and I did not like them. I was convinced by the OP to at least try a Bloog battery and some cartomizers. They are in the mail. If they perform better than the KR808 I use all of the time, I will buy some more. I've been doing this for over two years now, and one thing I've learned is that people have different tastes and reasons for choosing the e cig they like best. That's how it is, and no amount of vaping bullying should influence what you like and why you like it. Me, I'm sticking with the cigarette like device. I have no desire to puff on something that looks like a crack pipe or a box.

Just received my bloog battery and menthol carts
Only have background with v2 and v4l
The maxx fusion battery cart combo is unbelievable -no primer toke, other than being a little heavier than the v4 batteries, much more of an analog feel to it. When I put my smilin menthol premium cart on bloog battery, ver similar to the regular auto battery from v4life. Harder to draw and need to prime it
Optimum combo is bloog battery with bloog cart, however menthol is nothing to write home about, as far as flavor, but great vapor - it sounds like it is easy enough to put juice in, just have to find the right juice
I am very new to the pv just started in dec and have stopped analogs at the beginning of the year. -so keep in mind that my review is a little limited in scope as I don't have much to compare it to.

Received my Bloog MaxxFusion PCC kit today and I have to say that I am VERY impressed!

I have tried autos in RN4081, 510, KR808D-1, and DSE901 - they can't begin to hold a candle to the Bloog!

No primer puff required and little effort to draw a huge mouthful of vapor!!!

I received menthol 11mg cartos with mine and they are OK, just a little too minty for me. I prefer my PureCig w/menthol from FSUSA, but I plan on trying the other flavors that Bloog has to offer.

The fusion carto/battery combo is the best. The fusion battery will work with any 808D-1 cartos, but the fusion carto performs the best on the fusion battery to me.

If anyone is looking for the closest thing to an analog they can find I highly recommend the Bloog MaxxFusion.

Leaford's got a winner I do believe with this one!

!

Why do you suppose that is? I'm only asking because I just ordered some Bloog blank cartos and an Elegant Easy XXL and now I'm a bit worried!
