I agree about keeping up with the net MK otherwise they get suckered into those ads and ripped off and are unsatisfied and go right back to smoking again.

Also the older you get the more effects you feel I smoked for more then long enough to feel like crap and be ready to quit not to mention I had lost my sense of smell which took a really long time to come back

I don't think the younger people vape as much as the 30 to 50 year olds. The 30 to 50 year age group are feeling the effects of years of smoking! By my age group..(50 to 60) you must have had to keep up with the computer world to even find E-cigs!

I notice the younger crowd is going to the more hip thing. Years of D.A.R.E. and still used tobacco. Some of us youngins don't want to get to the point of feeling those effects. :) I just got tired of waking up with my lungs feeling like they're on fire and getting out of breath so easily. I'm 26 I shouldn't feel that way. I'm glad I found e-cigs and maybe I can put some years back. on my life.

I agree - my guess would be that the younger people probably aren't ready or investigating quitting smoking.

Except then you totally disprove that guess!

Do you have friends who smoke? What do they think of your PV and the idea of e-cigarettes in general?

I know many smokers, co-workers, friends and acquaintances. The guy who introduced me to the e-cig world is younger than I am. E-cig crowd at work is currently young, but the older crowd went from talking about quitting methods and their failed attempts at quitting and using Chantix and how expensive Chantix is to asking us about our e-cigs. Now that more of us are doing it, the smoking area conversation topics have changed dramatically. I just need to get some print outs from CASAA and start handing them out with links to this website and save my breath for vaping. lol :)

im not yet 30 and my lungs feel like crap. I figured for me it was time to try to make a switch. I am also sick of my house and clothes smelling bad. And ashes in my dodge challenger is simply unacceptable :)

That's what was finally getting to me, too. I was sick of trying to keep things fresh, and no matter what I did, my house never smelled fresh.

I'm also in the under 30 crowd.

My health was fine, but I didn't see any reason to continue tempting fate. I hated smelling like an ashtray and was getting a bit tired of the wife nagging me to quit. ;)

Generally, when I talk to people about switching to e-cigs it's the older folks that show the most interest. Maybe us younger ones whose health hasn't been affected by smoking (yet) still feel a bit on the invincible side?

I'm 43, and my health was fine, too. It was getting harder to live in denial that it was killing me, but honestly, that's really not what got me here. I figured "someday" I would quit, but I already knew none of the quit methods were going to work for me. None of them do a thing about the hand-to-mouth motion that I need. That's what made e-cigarettes appealing to me.

"Wait, you mean I still get to bring something to my mouth and inhale and blow out? AND it has nicotine in it? Sounds crazy, but it just might work..." :vapor:

Izabella, That's the truth about the hand to mouth! I knew it would work for me because I once quit for a while with toothpicks soaked in cinnamon! Those would have worked except for the splinters in the mouth..I am a chewer...lol I even tried stuffing the toothpicks in a short straw..cool but I chewed thru the straw and still got splinters! E-Eigs are chewproof!
Oh I meant to mention to the ladies..join us in ECF's Women's Room. Lots of nice ladies in there ..we talk about everything under the sun..including E-cigs. Just click on my link at the bottom.

I think the majority is over 30. I did just give a kit to a lady in my office building.....she is already loving it!! Also bought a kit for my daughter for her friend that wants to try one.

My smoker friends think it is great that it has worked for me but show no interest in trying it.
