Ohhhhhhh my ... LOL!!! I have never even used a bottle seal with my XL!!! NOW I know what that little thing IS that comes in the package with the extra bottles!! Haha! Geeesh! I feel like a big dumbie!! So you put the seal on top of the bottle & screw it in ... Then the plastic seal stays up there??? Mine's been doing fine without the bottle seal (except for a few random leaks ... Maybe this is why!!). Does anybody else not use the bottle seal plastic thingie? WHAT exactly does it do anyway?

Let me guess.... it seals the bottle and prevent from leaking?? LOL!!!

the kit does not come with an o-ring. I got mine from the local hardware store for a few cents.

Any idea on the size of o-ring?
There are dozens and dozens of sizes for those things!

I could take it to the hardware store and guess, but where's the fun in that?

Maybe this will help, and I appreciate all of your detective work. Both of my bottles seem to be having a problem not forming whatever seal it is that creates the squonk noise. I've double-checked that I'm not cross-threading, and have tried filling the bottles to various different levels. I've screwed it in both tight and loose. Maybe this isn't a bottle problem after-all and an issue with the connector I'm screwing into?

It is odd since it was working PERFECTLY for two weeks with not one single leak. :(

I've found the problem! Both of my bottles have leaks where the threads meet the main body. This is really frustrating as Vapage hasn't had any more in stock since I purchased the VMOD.

Hard to see in picture since I have to press the top to the side so you can see where the seam is disconnecting from the body:

Excellent detective work!

Rotten problem... :(

Just a thought, but you MAY want to contact Vapage about this - 2 weeks of use should not kill your bottles.

that is the reason why I put the O-ring on the neck of the bottle to prevent putting stress on the neck.

That is what I meant about the over squonking part. Its also why I put the velcro behind my bottle as to keep it from moving to cause that. Sorry to hear you had both bottles do that. I will try to post a pic of it when I get a chance.

Today was finally the day! I've been eyeballing this mod for months now, lurking this thread, etc. Had a few extra bucks this month so finally hit that 'checkout' button. Ordered a couple of extra batteries and bottles as well. Am so looking forward to having the dripping experience without the hassle! Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread with all of the great info. Between this and the rave youtube reviews ... I really believe this was a good choice for me. Don't need all the bells and whistles of so many of the mods out there. Just want something that works and works well!

Sure did! I signed up for their newsletter so got that tidbit of info in my Inbox. ;) Can hardly wait until it gets here now. Just hope it doesn't take me long to get the hang of the squonking thing, lol. Now if I could just find a couple of juices that ... seems like everything I have right now just doesn't cut it. Oh ... question for anyone ... I have a few IKV 306 atties ... I'm assuming I'll be able to use those in this as well? Was just reading your signature, Tat-Skull, so am assuming here ...
