Haven't seen any pics here lately so I figured I'd just drop one off here...

Hmm ... just wondering about something. First off, I am SO enjoying having one thing and one thing only to take me through a whole day of vaping and then some. No more cartos, clearos, tanks, extra batteries and juice, etc. etc. Just pick up my VMod on the way out the door to work and that's it. Feels kind of weird actually ... but in a good way. :D

However, I am a little disappointed in one aspect and that's flavor. I was expecting ... more ... the flavors are all kind of muted and just don't jump out like they do on my 306 on the Ego Twist. Now maybe I was expecting too much but I'm thinking that it is likely more a function of the stock atty that came with the kit. Can someone assure me that if I just get my hands on the right atty, that the flavor will come back again? Or ... like I said ... am I expecting just a little too much? It's not that the flavors are bad ... it's just kind of hard to tell one from the other and some of my flavors are actually pretty strong and should be popping out more.

Thank God I've gotten the hang of this, though! No more dry hits and only occasionally flooding! I love this thing ...

Well fisherpal, i'm a 901 Lover for their flavor, so since the day I got my XL(first run) I only used 901's on it(modded adapter). I never bothered to put anything 510 threaded on it... But I decided to try the Shifu spec, and let me tell you the flavor is amazing on these(REALLY close to 901). And this is coming from a Flavor junky:laugh:

Are you using the 2.0 or the 1.5? I see they have the 2.0's back in stock and, hopefully, the 1.5's aren't far behind. With this 20% off sale happening, now would be a good time to pick a few up!

Why aren't you using the 306 on your XL? Like Tat, (being a 901 lover), I am a 306 lover on the XL and seem to only get the best flavor and vapor out of them. I do have the new slant coil atty's but they seem to be a little finicky on my XL.

I use the 2.0, but again I use a Kick in mine set to around 8.5watts. I would be using the 2.0 over the 1.5 without the kick anyhow since I don't do TH and I prefer a cooler vape to bring out flavor.

I did try my IKV 306 but ... man! I thought I was going to pop a blood vessel in my head trying to get a vape off of it! I fiddled with the inner thread trying to get more air flow but with no difference. Once I stopped seeing lights flashing in my eyes from the blood pressure spike, I did some research on this and found (somewhere - might have been in this thread way back, I think) that some of the IKV 306's had some manufacturing problems whereby the air holes were misaligned. I think I must have one of those! Although it works fine on the Ego. ??? Anyway, it is unusable on the VMod XL, that's a given! Then I ordered another 306 from a vendor up here but didn't realize until I tried to use this one that it was sealed! So ... no 306 for me yet.

One of the vendors up here sells the HH357 that I have heard bantered about as well but ... wow! I can get two of the Shifu's for less than one of those.

Before you try the HH357 give the Cisco spec 306's a shot. They are both available on the Avid Vapor site. I had a HH357 and it is laying in the box of things I tried and they failed that I have.... The Cisco spec, (IMO), is the atty that works on anything and everything I vape. Here is a link. Remember to get the XL drip tip with them to use on the XL.....
