MLs consumed over total minutes even. ;)

Kenom did a wonderful piece of work on your VMOD, Tat! That is gorgeous and enchanting!

Thanks Kat, I have no problem with pink, magenta is actually my favotite color, and he did an awesome job trying to get the color just right:2cool: He still has one more shell of mine that he is putting a logo from my favorite band(Mudvayne) on:ohmy:

Nice, man. I really like how the cone knurls are still... knurls, like intended. Like the looks. kenom is pretty talented. What is being used again? Paint? Anodizing?

His work is custom anodizing, and he is quite the talented man:thumbs: He can work wonders on anything aluminum!!

About how many mil's per day do you consume?

That's one of the variables for sure.

rose, I average about 4ml per day and need to change out batteries at about 3ml. I think part of the reason I get good battery consumption is the way I have it wired into the XL. I never have a grounding problem and can remove the kick at any time very easily. I will post some pics later of what I did.

Very interested to see how you have your ground circuit set up. I was trying not to have to resort to soldering a wire onto the kick ground loop. I think maybe the choice of material I used is causing me some grief. Works great with a battery that has decent charge stored.

This is how I have the kick set up for my XL. I soldered directly to the kick and then put a piece of corrugated fastener on the other end. It was what I found in the junk box and though I would use it for the minute, but it has worked out pretty good so I decided just to leave it. It can be taken out of my XL really easily if need be. Being directly soldered to the kick eliminates any problems with grounding issues and I think that is one of the most important factors. It may not be the prettiest set up in the world, but it works and you can't see it when the cover is on the unit anyway. Looking at these pics, I think I need to give the inside of the XL a good cleaning. Seems to be a lot of pocket lint that has gathered in some spots....lol

I took advantage of the buy one get one sale and got 2 XL's and 2 @.0's.

I gave a set to my mom, Kept an XL and am going to give the other 2.0 to my step mom.

The two I've kept are having firing issues. As in, they won't fire. The 2.0 even got the ground spring hot enough to burn my noobie wife's thumb.

I shot an email to vapage. Patiently awaiting their reply.

On a lighter note. I made up some DiY Key Lime Pie and it's absolutely awesome in my XL. It's not perfect yet but very good.

Nice, but that was what I was trying to avoid. I have a feeling the material I used for the ground loop has some drawback, damn AB. lol

I really like your idea of a removable unit though. Right now I can remove the kick in-tact. Maybe some kind of removable ground strap with micro clips. Hmmm.

here's my approach to adding a Kick in V-MOD XL. no Soldering needed!

Pretty new to the forums but it was this and the other huge thread that was locked that sold me on getting an XL, had it for two weeks now, the carto was DOA but the hybrid atomiser more than makes up for that fact, so much better than the egos I had before! I can finally taste all my eliquids as they are meant to be tasted and am also totally leak free which is a huge novelty!

Being able to fill the tank charge the battery then leave the house for a day at work and an evening out without running out of juice or charge is a total win for me!

Loving all the custom shells and info I have seen and found in this thread, wish I'd known about the buy one get one sales etc but regardless have already ordered a Vmod 2.0 and half a dozen of the "shifu" atomisers to go with the XL I already have :)

One thing though, I have read a huge amount of this and the other thread but has anyone else noted that these mods can look very much like a remote detonator for a bomb?? Wont stop me carrying it but a friend pointed it out :)

I need some new friends. Mine say my mods look like garage door openers...

How did you run that? Copper foil or something?

Yup! It's a copper foil.. Notice how I have it grounded to the negative spring. No mess! And it takes me less than 5mins. to add the copper lining. Also I'm not destroying the V-MOD XL to add a Kick. Even Shifu likes my Kick setup when I went to pay a visit to Vapage office. : )
