Ya. That's what I hope for. I had to say no to the Reo Grand when the coupon code came out. Considering how much it would be used, I think that I made a good choice. So I got extra bottles, o-ring kit, and extra low res hybrids. My hopes are high and I have heard all good things. If only I could contain myself from being in impatient vape child waiting for Santa the mail man.
The Efest's I have are flat but im sure I could have ordered them in button but I got flat. As much as I change things around I still some how ended up with 6 flat tops. Oh well. If I have to wait its no big deal. I have lots of other stuff on the way from China.

Fret not, my young Striker, I just tried a Panny CGR in my other XL, and it worked. Most of what I have now are high drain BTs, so that is what I have used so far with these.

I picked up a Reos Mini not too long ago, and while it's a well built little BF, I'm not as impressed with them as the VMods, and especially for the cost involved.

Gawd, I hear ya about "other devices" coming. I really need to hit the classifieds soon. I have some pretty nice stuff just sitting most of the time.

ETA: One thing I don't care for with Vapage is that they don't give you tracking info upfront. You have to request it. What's up with that?

Howdy folks,

I ordered the ProSpecs and received a shipping email on the 4th. The ProSpecs got here yesterday and I'm only 400 miles from them. Seems I spend a goodly amount of time waiting for vape mail nowadays. How the hell did I go from being a busy old man to being a little kid waiting for the mailman? Lol.

Kat, it maybe your favorite wax, but I MUST APPEAR MANLY, MUST NOT APPEAR TO HAVE A SOFT SIDE, grunt grunt, howwlllllll. Me got cowhide, me made leather. Me make things from leather, grunt. (There, now my manly credentials have been reasserted).

Made my first leather cover for the XL last night. Very basic, but it holds promise. Haven't worked leather since I was a Boy Scout. Now that I know I can do it, got to figure out how to make it look.......manly?

Howdy folks, so below are some pics, XL with the Kick, and leather cover before and after stain. Remember, this is only a first attempt, don't laugh too hard, especially after seeing the seat above, lol.

So now that I know I can do a bit of leather, time to start on a new and improved one, will have a pattern on it of some sort, will cover a bit more of the body, etc.

Big Mac.

Oh yeah, I'm a bit worried about the kick. The 490s didn't last real long, may have to move it under the bottle to keep the 650s....don't know yet. Only time will tell.

Great info. I read about the tracking and went out in the rain on the 1/4 mile walk, in pitch black darkness. It was in the box so it was a walk worth while. Thanks for passing along the info. The Panny FT works fine.

Thankfully I ordered a pack of low res hybrid cause they work much better. One thing I wonder about it. Do they get better with time as well? What I mean is they take juice in and you get the gurgle. Once its optimized and the gurgle is gone I only get one good pull and one descent pull till its dry.

Its going to take some getting use to no hose and not being able to see the juice go in to the atty but I think I can live with it. But first impressions are not very good on this. I would have to give it 70 out of 100. Crossing my fingers that it gets better. Thanks again.
EDIT: The Hybrid does really bring out the taste of my juice very well though. I have some pluid that I cut in half and its just as strong as the full flavor. Bet I could turn 30ML in to 90. Thats a plus. I bet my outlook on this will be much better in time.

Update. I been breaking in the low res hybrid. All I can say is wow. I cant even look at my Precise without feeling guilty, or that I should be selling it. Its still not holding as much juice between fills but the pay off is more then worth the small effort to tilt a push on the bottle. I am also getting use to not seeing whats going in the atty. Sorry if my last post seemed like a rant. I been under lots of stress lately. But I really like it and will insert foot to give credit where its due.

No comment about the standard res break in? I was getting next to no vapor out of it and if I need to follow the rainbow for break in id like to know or them standard res attys are going in the drawer. Thanks in advance. I see low res hybrids in my future. Cant be running out of them suckers. :vapor:

I'm assuming it's an XL. If so, one word, Kick. Works a treat.

I LIKE it, Mac.

To me, it's not about looking "manly".....it's about looking practical. I live in the boonies, that one would go over well here, camping, fishing, farming, horses, all that.......last thing I would carry would be ANYTHING "Blingy".

blingy doesn't work here.........ostentatious and all that. Besides, I'm lugging something to the feed store, I don't want to walk in and face those guys with blingy ...it's just a matter of my pride. LOL

I could take this to the horseraces. :)

Howdy folks,

Race, no blingggg, but I do wanna make it look a bit more unique and personalized. The way the case is now I really like, it looks rather old and well used...I like that look. After making it I did discover I did a few things that I can easily improve upon. More below.

Smilee, here's a pic of the bottom....

I did form it inward, thinking I would need to do that so the XL would not slid downward. Mistake. The leather case is more than snug enough to not allow any sliding of the XL. Because I did that, now I have to remove the XL from the case to pull the chassis free. Next one will not have the curved section at the bottom, that way I can get to the chassis without removing the case. That's the one functional mistake discovered so far. Any others are purely me being ........at least so far. We'll see with the next one.

How about a custom brand of some sort? That would look pretty cool. Can the sutures be placed at the "short side". Me likey this a lot.

Lol, and here I thought the idea of a brand of some sort was gonna be a surprise! Spoiler! Yeap, the stitching was originally gonna be down the short side. The first idea was to add......wings I guess.....on each of the skinny sides (so stitching would be in the back) with loops of some sort so I could hang this with a homemade lanyard from my neck, that way it was safe. Hard to set down and forget. Wife tells me I'm getting to the point of forgetting things...usually stuff she tells me she wants me to do. Am I really forgetting stuff or is that selective memory....?

Now, anyone know how to make a custom brand without having to go whole hog? I thought about a metal hanger, but I'm not sure if it will be stiff enough or strong enough, or hefty enough. It's not something I want to farm out, I wanna do it myself. Some soft bar stock, that I can bend easily with heat...maybe...don't know. I'm also looking at doing tooling on the leather. Found me a nice ......well, not gonna tell ya what it is, you'll have to wait and see.
