LOL. Should make for a nice base though to take any number of directions as you pointed out. How about a touch of lemon too? I'll have to try that then. And some pumpkin and holiday spice as things continue to cool down. Season has a huge affect on my taste wants.

Some flavors are ethyl alcohol based (~pure grain alcohol) and smell incredibly strong (like the cranberry). Steeping these uncovered seems to help. Cranberry tasted (and seemed to vape) horrible at first, but once it settled down, it was a nice authentic cranberry flavor. Flavoring is such strange science.

I never thought of lemon. I'm not the type of gal who puts lemon in her tea though. I was actually born in Worcester and my family dragged me down to the south as a youngin' where I converted like a good southern girl. Go figure. I have a thing for TFA fruits, so the teas (green, black, earl grey) made a lot of sense to me.

I assume you read the posts about the holiday spice containing nutmeg and to mix it at very, very low levels at first? Heh. I am excited to try the pumpkin spice. I need to mix today.

What did you do with cranberry? I haven't been brave enough to try that one.

Raspberry from TFA tastes like nail polish remover smells. You all have been warned!

What percentage did you mix it at?? I L-O-V-E the berries from TFA, including raspberry!

Yeah, I am trying to get around 14-15mg nic ..... 18 is too strong for me. I just don't want to mix nic........yet. :)

I hear you,,,,,I was scared to death,,,,still am. But I like 6-12 mg and DD likes 12-18 mg, so I figured I really NEEDED to mix,,,,,I got 60 mg because that was as high as I was willing to have around here,,,,,I'll just keep it up really high (no small children, but I have pets) and mix it on my back porch with the fan on

I started to experiment with Pumpkin Spice last night. Single flavor at 5%, let sit with the cap off in some hot water until the water cooled. Its very good, but strong! Definitely needs something sweet to off set it.

Hmm.. I was wondering about that. For TFA I usually start at about half of that flavoring. I hate waste, and I like small samples.

Maybe some vanilla swirl to go with that pumpkin spice? Like a pumpkin pie with vanilla ice cream? Mmmmm...

I had an unexpected overnight trip come up yesterday so had to quickly throw some DIY juice together. I mixed my new TFA Pumpkiin Spice at 15% and it was way too strong to vape. This was totally my fault for being in a rush, not experimenting at a lower %, and not steeping, but I have decided that I am just really not a fan of heavy nutmeg flavoring. I am not tossing it though and will play around by adding very light touches of it to other holiday recipes.

I hadn't heard about the holiday spice yet - thanks. I've only done straight-up 5% cranberry. It was in my last order and I heard it was pretty accurate and agree. I LOVE tart - but this captures the essence of cranberry without tart really, so you could probably do quite a bit with it.

Have you tried the newest blueberry? I heard it was really good. I currently have the BB Extra and like it, but supposedly the new one is a good bit different/better.

Do you mean the LA blueberry?
Its different. I wouldn't say better, just different.
I made some with whipcream and it was decent. Not OMGWOW but it was good. It tastes more natural but its kind of weak. Its not tart/sweet enough. I added some of it to a blackberry recipe and it was EXCELLENT compared to the original. I recommend it.
I find mixing LA and TFA flavors(the same ones ie;blueberry) Gives a more full bodied juice. They are better when mixed otgether than whne mixed on their own.

The BB extra melts clearos but I haven't had the same problem with the LA blueberry. I suspect it is cause by something in the artificial flavoring in the TFA brand.

Happy vaping! :)

Hi Butterfly;

I'm brand new to DIY too but not sure what you need. Have you used a vaping calculator yet to mix your juice? There are plenty of them around to show you how to determine percentages. You order the Nic Juice, PG/VG (non nicotine) and flavoring and some measuring equipment and bottles. Use a calculator and adjust your recipes to suit your taste.

Hope that this was helpful.

It's a newer TFA flavor I was referring to: Blueberry Wild. I believe this version of blueberry flavor is polycarbonate-safe.

I was kind of stuck on what to do with all the different blueberries. I had no idea the wild blueberry was new. I just went with the Extra. Tried and true. I don't use tanks at all, so it doesn't really give me any problems. I'll definitely have to check that out next time... Thanks!

I think 13% is a bit high for the first time,,,,,you can always add more, but it's tougher to take it out,,,,,,I'd also try making 5 or 10 ml the first time you try a recipe.

I'm planning to try 5% to start,,,,just 5ml to begin,,,,,,,if that's too weak, I'll make another 5 ml at 10%,,,,then another 5 ml at 15%. Once I get it how I like it, I'll make larger bottles.
