Sadly I still love the smell of a fresh lit cigarette but the smell on a person who just smoked one is horrible. Someone who just smoked can open a door to a room I am in and I can instantly smell it.
If anyone has smoked in the last couple hours anywhere within about a half-mile of me, I can smell it.

I've been under the weather recently, and most all day today I was racked with shivering chills, but the 20+ yr old "ear thermometer" has apparently outlived its ability to correct report human temp; it kept telling me my temp was like 97 degrees.
So we went to wallyworld just now for an old-tech oral thermometer -- no mercury, but also no electronics to wear out or require batteries. We walked out the door and I'm like "did we just walk into an ashtray?" My temp is currently about 99.2; not alarming, but above normal. I won't take anything until it goes over 100.6. Really not at all sure what's wrong with me; best guess is flu, what with the fainting spells, chills, nausea/upset stomach, but no other symptoms -- haven't smoked in over a year so I don't have that racking cough/crud the way I used to. Guess that's good news, but it does make it hard to diagnose flu when you don't have the usual symptoms to recognize it by.
