Sadly I still love the smell of a fresh lit cigarette but the smell on a person who just smoked one is horrible. Someone who just smoked can open a door to a room I am in and I can instantly smell it.

If anyone has smoked in the last couple hours anywhere within about a half-mile of me, I can smell it. :D But then I had the olfactory receptors of SuperBeagle *before* I quit smoking, and now they're completely off the charts.

I've been under the weather recently, and most all day today I was racked with shivering chills, but the 20+ yr old "ear thermometer" has apparently outlived its ability to correct report human temp; it kept telling me my temp was like 97 degrees. So we went to wallyworld just now for an old-tech oral thermometer -- no mercury, but also no electronics to wear out or require batteries. We walked out the door and I'm like "did we just walk into an ashtray?"

My temp is currently about 99.2; not alarming, but above normal. I won't take anything until it goes over 100.6. Really not at all sure what's wrong with me; best guess is flu, what with the fainting spells, chills, nausea/upset stomach, but no other symptoms -- haven't smoked in over a year so I don't have that racking cough/crud the way I used to. Guess that's good news, but it does make it hard to diagnose flu when you don't have the usual symptoms to recognize it by.

At least the Flem wont clog your throat as bad as when you smoked... I used to wake up not being able to breath, thrown into a panic attack because of it!! Now that I dont smoke the flem isn't as bad anymore..

Hope you feel better!! :)

Thx... I've noticed that with age, sometimes I might *catch* flu, but not suffer much with it, as if what I've caught is a very close relative of some strain I've already had. Last time flu really laid me out was about 20 yrs ago -- didn't even know I was ill till a fainting spell nearly pitched me out a window! But after that, I pretty much just laid on the couch for about 3 wks; just getting up to go to the bathroom felt like running a marathon!

Hope you get to feeling better soon Andria. Let the fever go as long as you can without taking anything. It actually help the body fight off whats bothering it. When I have a fever I have to be going into convulsions before i will take anything for it, and I have been that bad a few times.

Spending time on the Steam Crave site I been looking at there bottom feed. Its VW so right up my alley.

Put verticals in the Aromamizer. Really easy on that deck. I used 26 but I think 24 would be better.

This tank is the mother of all juice whores. And I'm running it at high ohms. The way it blows through just at .5 I can't even imagine the low builds I see some building. 6ml tank does not hold what you think it holds. Had to make some 2mg joose, 3 was killing me.

Its not the most pocketable tank. Also laying it on its side for long is a bad idea. Low VG joose would I think make these problems larger.

Because the Chuthulu doesn't EVER leak and I'm in love with the Velocity deck I think a V2 may enter my life soon.

When you think about it we had the old school Kayfun style deck, the three post and the orchid style. Its been dressed up in different ways but all kinda one of those three. I'm glad we finally have something thats moving forward.

I'm usually about the same about medicating fever; I didn't take anything all evening, but it stayed pretty stable at 99-99.5; finally when I took my 'sleepy pills' I took a couple of ibuprofen, so I wasn't so uncomfortable and could sleep -- high temp is never conducive to sleep, and my body, with its insomnia habit, is particularly susceptible. I did manage to sleep, though some of the "crud" arrived during the night; NOTHING like when I smoked, just enough to be a bit annoying.

I think I'll soldier thru; today's payday, so I have to go and do some things, but maybe I'll use the drive-thru at the bank to avoid spreading it around too much.

It occurred to me that raising my steroid dosage in my asthma meds might have left me susceptible to this; don't steroids somewhat compromise the immune system?

I have the VF squonk clone. It takes one 18650 and build a single coil in your velocity. I tried it with dual coils but it performs better on the VF flask with a single coil in my opinion. I built mine high right above the post so airflow from both sides will hit it. Have a Clapton coil in mine at 1.2 ohms and vaping it at the max setting of 40 watts.
My velocity came with the solid center pin and had to swap it out with the hollow one. It was in there very tight.

Yup - Got a 1.7-ish ohm coil right at the moment. However, I had a lot of trouble getting the atty to "recognize". It's obviously kanthal, but I don't have any other documentation (other than don't put the battery in this way - put it in that way!) This is supposed to be TC, right? How would I change settings?

Other thing, with the bottle, I see what people were commenting about re: how to get the squonk bottle to attach. It seems like the whole hose thingy has to be pulled off the feed pin (or did I just break the damn thing?) Does the bottle just "contact-fit" or does it actually screw back in?

Ask @chopdoc I remember him saying it was hard to get the bottle in with that hose..

Mine isnt TC. Might wanna check where you bought yours if it is TC or not. One I have is VW/VV regulated mod. With your bottle, pull it down off the pipe, pull the cap with the hose thru it off the bottle, fill it to the shoulder and put the cap back on, then try to line up the hose with the little pipe in that dark hole and push it in. At first its hard but it becomes easier.

I'm actually ready to go back to work tomorrow.

I'm not gonna say how many coils I built and threw away today cause its embarrassing. Lets just say the average vaper could vape several lifetimes off my cast offs.

Aromamizer now has 24ga normal coils. I didn't like the verticals. Works great but I think I prefered the 26.

But TC has been my nemesis. You name it I've tried it. Finally got something that works. 30 Ni200 and 29ga Nichrome80. Duals on a Derringer at .06. Its actually a good looking build. Works great. I think I'm onto something.

@chopdoc - yeah, that's kinda what I figured. I actually did pretty well getting it loaded up. Just built up a 2nd BF Velocity - 26g/8wrap/3mm - rings in at about 1.3 ohms.

Got the VF from GearBest. Was supposed to be a TC version (40W). I contacted GearBest to see if there's any more documentation.

@MikeyConti - sweetie - you need to wrangle on one of these. It's pretty freaking cool. I REALLY like that it's regulated. I like the Smokeless Owl, but hate that the vape quality dies as the battery level starts to fade. By the time my battery gets to about 3.8V, I can't really tell I'm pulling anything. (That, and I like having a battery indicator and somewhat of an ohmmeter :) )

Man had my first mech scare today!! Was in the back room at work unloading the truck and putting stock away. All of a sudden felt my leg getting REALLY hot. Pulled out my Stingray and the damn thing was SUPER HOT and getting worse by the second. Actually blistered my fingers holding it while I was quickly unscrewing the fire button in the warehouse. Thank god I got it out quick enough before it vented or anything. Turns out the screw that holds the button together (aka the negative pin) somehow worked its way loose and had come out enough it shoved my battery into the Derringers positive post. No clue how long it was firing before it got that hot but man I thought my hand was gonna burn off when I was holding it!! Took my break a little bit later and luckily everything was still working, although I charred the crap out of my wick, I had to hold off on vaping until I got home and threw the battery in my other Stingray, that taste of burnt cotton and watermelon candy was just not very good! :D

@chopdoc - where did you score the VF squonker clone?? Ive kinda wanted to try a squonker, that one looks pretty cool.
