No surprise that Mr Hot likes it hot ;) How are you today ??

Ha funny guy you!!! ;)

How are you buddy? Everything here is good. Hot? Yea you'd be hot too if you lived here! There was no real spring this year. Went straight to Summer. 95 degrees and humid as hell!! We did get about 5 inches of rain here on Monday and it looks like we're about to get more. Typical Florida Summer. Sun blaring one minute, then 20 minutes of rain, then blaring Sun again! Why the Hell did I move here?? :D

oh that was horrible!!! What a mean thing to do!!

He got his comeuppance, don't worry. We all went to the drive-in to see Carrie (the original one with Sissy Spacek) and at the end, where the hand comes up out of the dirt, he screamed like a little girl! OMG, I laughed and laughed. After I made sure I didn't have whiplash, because when he screamed, he kicked the back of my seat HARD. It was a '68 Charger, and the seats didn't "lock" in place, so he 'bout tossed me into the dashboard, but it was so funny because I got to tease him about being a little girl for a LONG time afterward. ;)

Yeah I edited my post, it's not that custard, it must be Cap V1 and Im thinking it's mixed with some vanilla swirl, some graham cracker clear and some butter cream, might even be a bit of Vanillin 10 in it. Only way to find out is keep mixing.

OMG, STOP IT. You're making me drool! DANG it! I don't have time to sit and mix juice today but I WANT to now! LOL!

I've since lost touch with her, but a friend I had in Galveston said that when she and her hubby went to see it in the theater......he'd seen it before but she hadn't. So when the hand came up.......he reached over and grabbed her hand!! She screamed bloody murder and decked him before she realized it was him that had grabbed her! Serves him right!!

Oh, NOES!

I used to think I hated Mexican food, because it was always so SPICY! Oh, it made me sick to my stomach every time I tried to eat it. Then one day Rich took me to a REAL Mexican restaurant, and I was scared to order anything, but the guy there (one of the owners) said it was "traditional" Mexican food, not "American" Mexican food, and that it wasn't spicy unless someone asked for extra spice, so I tried some and LOVED it! That was my very favorite restaurant to go to after that. I never had anything there I didn't like. My special favorite was the fried ice cream for dessert. ;) I even liked their guacamole, and I hate avocados, but they made it SO good.

The only other experience I had at a Mexican restaurant (run by real, actual Mexicans) was when I was in my 20s and the guy I was dating took me out for dinner after the drag races, and his roommate came with us. His roommate was Mexican, and he knew how I hated spicy. (He tricked me into eating a jalapeno once, by telling me they weren't hot and eating several of them whole... OMG, and I fell for it.) Anyway, it probably would have been a good dinner, but Juan (the roommate) told the cook, unbeknownst to me, that I liked extra spicy, and to load my plate up. Ugh. I went without dinner that night, those little pukes. The place was SO Mexican, they didn't even offer a burger option or anything. But after everyone was done playin' jokes on me, and I got to try REAL Mexican food, I found out it was good. :)
I just had some tamales. We have a tamale guy that comes around and oh my they are delish.

Morning Grumpy Wookie! That is approximately the amount of meat our dogs eat each day. Our four dawgs range from about 60 pounds to 120 pounds. Anything smaller than that is considered breakfast.

I've been cravin REAL fish and chips from a chippy shop for a couple weeks now.
Now that's something we do proper around here
I know this will make me sound like a dinosaur again, but last time I had yummy Brit fish & chips, it came wrapped in a newspaper. I heard since that someone decided that newspaper ink being all over your food wasn't healthy, but I think it was part of the taste. So Rixy/Ems, what is it wrapped in today? or do they put it on a plate?

The last time I had fish and chips, actually chicken and chips cause I don't eat fist, was at Arthur Treacher's. It came wrapper in news print. Actually regular wrapping made to look like new print but it was kewl.

I really liked AT's and am sorry they are gone.

I remember going to the fish market. You picked out a fish and then they wrapped in the Local Paper! Gee we didn't die from that now did we! Today everything is hermetically sealed so that $2 fish has $20 worth of packaging!

No its still wrapped up but it's in white paper now with a grease proof paper bottom. Sometimes it comes in a tray, I have mine in a big open tray cause the paper sweats the batter on the fish and it goes soggy, big no no. Must be light crispy batter with lovely white flakes of fish, same with the chips, wrapped up they start to sweat. Usually order a big tub of mushy peas to go with it. My piece of cod was 2ft long today. Lovely Jubbly

I do remember the newspaper though before health and safety came along. I was an 80's kid and that was a great time. Atari, Tamiya RC cars and proper sized Mars bars !

Better, but still painful, so I suspect I will still have this stupid sling on for a couple more weeks. Using the forearm is no problem, but when I try to raise the arm at the shoulder, it brings tears to my eyes.

Sounds exactly like mine. Hurt it at work this week and tried to keep working and then hurt it a second time and am now sitting at home on sick leave because of it. Seen an occupational health doc yesterday because it was reported as a first report of injury so had to go see the company approved doctor. Told me I have bursitis, tendinitis and x rays show arthritis in the shoulder joint. Can only move my left arm forward maybe an inch and cant raise my hand past my neck.
I tried to take care of it on regular sick leave because with it being an on the job injury I knew there was gonna be a ton of hoops I was gonna have to jump thru but they wouldnt let me do it that way :( So had to drive two hours to go see this doctor and he gives me a return to work slip for not full duty but regular duty while he tells me light duty for a week or so. The company I work for tells me there is no such thing as light duty and I am out until I have a doctors release returning me for full duty. Then my supervisor wanted me to either scan and email the release slip to the director of maintenance or hand deliver it this morning. My printer/scanner is on the fritz and I tried to get it going but it wasnt happening so I had to go to walmart late last night to buy a new one just so I didnt have to drive four hours to hand deliver the release slip.

It was cute when I got home last night. My pit bull boy Rascal was so happy and surprised I was home that he was crying and yelping for a good 5 minutes. Then when I decided I had to go to Walmart I said screw it and put my uniform pants back on (many go to walmart in pajama's but not me!) and he didnt like that. He started crying all over again thinking I was leaving again. Picked him up a kiddy sandwich at Wendys and I was forgiven :D

That sucks! Don't you just love the drug store doctors that they have to send you back to work. I had to deal with those idiots when I worked for NYC. If you were at the clinic and you had a heart attack there they couldn't touch you and would have to call 911. These are the same guys that tell you to go back to work with broken bones and ruptured tendons. Gotta Love it!!

Animals are so forgiving! Especially when it's food!!!:D
