Hey @Boden Great little video you made for Darth Lannie, but leaves me with a question: What difference, in efficiency or function, would it make between a heat-treated coil and the same coil without heat-treating? I am sure Lannie has ever used my torches and the shop scares her OCDness (and she cannot bring the torches in the kitchen to do this, so maybe I'll have to do it for her).
Think I will try a radiator coil on a pair of snap ring pliers....

As Cromwell said, a full anneal is necessary to keep the coil from turning into a spiral when you take it off the rods.
Btw: Use Steel or SS rods to do this, Copper or Brass will draw away too much heat, plus the rods will get really hot
In the video it looks like I'm heating the wire much more than I am. This color is closer to what I was seeing.

It seems TC is questionable but for power mode the Sig 213 is the smallest and bestest twin 18650 mod ever made.
I'm playing with the preheat now. Setting it for a 50w punch for 1 second then 35w.
Just a wonderful mod. Smaller then a SX Mini or Radius and lighter but with two batteries.
Been my daily carry for two months now and I can't say enough good about it.

I have pretty normal smokers lungs. COPD and Emphysema and the usual crap. Plus some spots left from a run with Farmers Lung 30 years ago.

Now I understand the past isn't forgotten and almost 40 years of 2+PAD doesn't go away like that BUT I'm in a real good place all things considered.

The cheaper one is metal which may be heavier then mine which is "carbon fiber"
