@Eskie , I know whatcha mean about 24 and subohm DL now. The woom is spinning. @Lannie , you didn't warn me!!!!! lol

But ESKIE DID!

Just to say, standard 24g kanthal in the limitless sucks !

Why? Because when these coils run out that came with mine, I'll be using 24g Kanthal. :(

Looked like she had it working before I got done typing my answer, and after I went to the trouble of going to the vape Cave, grabbing my CF4, and putting a battery in it, all for no reason.:D

Well, really.

I'm eyeballing this  Dual 18650. 150/160w :) Looks nice though.

Darth Linda, for reference, when I was tootling, I started out at 18 and was down to 12 to 15 after several months. I'm extremely sensitive to nic, though, for some odd reason. Anyway, when I started using the iSub tanks, I had to drop to 6, and that was still too high, so I went to 4, then 2, and now I'm at 1mg. If I chain vape at all, I FEEL IT, even at that microscopic level. (See today I'm not having a drink, so that was easy to spell. ;))

Anyway, what I'm saying is, be prepared to adjust your nic level down. It might take a while to find your sweet spot, but when you do, you'll be all set. :)

Getting ready to head out to a Grad/Going Away (to join the Army) party for my ex-wifes son. In the heat and humidity, outside. Bummed, I can't take my Boreas, cuz it leaks like a bucket with the bottom rusted out in this heat. Oh well, at least the squonker works fine in 90+ degree weather.

We just went through several days of 103 to 105 degree weather, and mine didn't leak. I did take it outside with me a few times when I had to take the dog on potty trips, but even in the house it was 90+ degrees. Right now I have 80VG juice in mine, is that the difference? I should maybe stay away from my stash of 50/50 stuff until it gets cooler? (Although I did run a couple of tanks of that 50/50 through it just before it got so hot, but it was still in the mid-90s...)

    Thanks Darth Lannie!!

    You are very welcome. ;)

Maybe I need to work on the wicking still, I do have 50/50 in it, only time I have issues with it leaking is when it is in the heat for awhile. I can take the dog out, no problem, that's only a couple minutes. But much more than that it leaks on me.

Today's new toys. I'm almost tempted to swap the battery packs around...

I wish I would have took the risk and ordered one! Even if i had to have them ship the battery later as at first it was just the mod alone, no kit lol

    Dear Darth Linda,

At what Watts level are you now vaping your new sub-Ohm experience? Even though I have not seen anyone come right out and say it as a "science" thing (maybe The Boden or Sir Rixy will confirm), I have observed my "friends" who have transitioned to the dark side change their nic levels in an inverse proportion to their Watts. That is, if you use 24mg at 10W, then you go up to 20W, you get similar satisfaction at 12mg, but when you hit 30W you only need 6mg, 40W down to 3mg, and those in the 60-75W seem to think 1mg is enough (witness Darth Lannie's admission above). Pardon my presumption again, Darth Kevin (Sir Kadly - obviously it does not apply to everyone), but it would appear that total suck time also has a similar correspondence... the higher the Watts, the shorter the suck time.

As a TootleWomper, I can still get 10 seconds at 20W on my Nautilus, but that is with a 1.5-Ohm coil. If I had a 0.5-Ohm coil in that puppy, would I either lower my Watts to maintain a 10-second suck or shorten my suck time to get the same flavor result? Enquiring minds want to know... :)

Heat for a long period will build up pressure and make any tank leak at some point..

As a TootleWoper, I can still get 10 seconds at 20W on my Nautilus, but that is with a 1.5-Ohm coil. If I had a 0.5-Ohm coil in that puppy, would I either lower my Watts to maintain a 10-second suck or shorten my suck time to get the same flavor result? Enquiring minds want to know... :)

A small correction there... I still use 1mg nic at 25 watts. The only tank I take higher than 30 is Ms. Boreas (and probably the Limitless, when I get back upstairs and put a coil in it. All my other tanks, the iSubs, the Serpents, the Wines, all run between 25 and 30 watts, depending on what flavor I have in the tank. Fruity stuff I run lower, custard/bakery stuff is higher.

When I first tried the iSub tank, I was running it at twelve whole watts, because frankly, the whole idea of "sub-ohm" seemed kinda scary to me. I had some 6mg juice (which I thought was too low - HA!) in it, and 12 watts gave me an equivalent amount of flavor and vapor as tootling had on my Protanks. But then one day, feeling in an adventurous mood, I turned the wattage up. First to 15W, eh, yeah, that was a little better. Then 20W, WOW! That was a LOT better. Then 25W and I realized how much I'd been missing, flavor-wise. From that day on, I never looked back. ;) But the point of that story (I distracted myself!) was that when I was "sub-ohming" (tootle-ohming?) at 12 watts, I had to take a 4 to 5 second drag. On the Protanks, it was more like 6 to 8 seconds. When I got up to 25 watts, I was down to 1.5 to 2 second drags. Sometimes, when I'm in a hurry and doing a fly-by vape, it's just 1 second or less, but I still get plenty of flavor and vapor to satisfy my needs. :)

I have the v5, haven't used it yet. Looked at the XL, but thought that would mute the flavor a bit.

Have it on good athority that the XL is quite the flavor tank compared to the V5

Mind condensing that down to two sentences? Not sure what asking.

    Agreed

It's the air that expands in the tank not the juice.
