I will do that for sure. The only real weight is the pair of batteries and the topper, the sled is plastic and the top section is a thin metal.Cool. I'd like to know how much time you get out of the Lux and which Batts you think are better. I use the Hohm Growns in my 2 26650 mods. They seem to be pretty good ones. With the double 26650's she's got to have a bit of weight to her?
I find the SS TC to be a little spooky, or wonky in operation. I know I am spoiled by DNA & FSK devices so I didn't expect the LUX to operate or perform anywhere near those devices.Nice! Enjoy it. I know mooch gave a really good review on the iJoys included. Have you had a chance to check it out in TC yet?

That really sucks, have you posted this on the VU Hohm Wrecker thread?
I find the battery sleeve quite firm. It has a trap bar on the bottom of the sleeve and a large spring ball bearing on the sled that mates with the bar. There is also a magnet/keeper setup on the bottom of the sled and sleeve. Thanks TD.
Does the battery cap slide out a lot?
I saw in Ohm Boy Josh's review he said the tray would slide out when he tried to take his dripper cap off.
I'm enjoying mine in TC. Currently have the Ohmega Beast on it with a massive SS316L dual fused clapton in it, and it's fine. There is an available update that allows for the full 215 watts in TC, eliminating the 50 (or was it 80?) Watt cap. I have a SS316L round wire build in a Tobeco Super Tank RTA on the Maxo (same board), and it's working great, as well.I find the SS TC to be a little spooky, or wonky in operation. I'm running the Big German with a pair of 3mm 6 wrap 24g SS316L spaced coils. Set at 440F/50W on the LUX, which gives a decent vape. The wonky part is when you turn up the temperature, the power is increasing as well but the display still shows 50W. It's almost like a preheat is being applied. If I turn the temperature up to 460F or 480F, the vape hits like it would be at 80W for a split second and then smooths back out.
I have switched between power mode and TC at the same wattage to compare the vape. The output power really does change when you turn up the temperature even though it is still showing 50W. I have observed the power level dropping off to 5W on a dripper when the wick goes dry so TC is working.
Maybe @Shawn Hoefer can let us know if his works this way or not.
This is on multiple RTAs, it appeared on the Crius+ first so I just assumed that the contact 510 pin connection on the Crius+ was being wonky. I put the Big German on it which has a very solid connection.
I can live with the TC if that is the way it works. I really should hook up a meter and see what voltage is actually coming out from that initial button press.
Reading that thread, I've come to the conclusion that Hohmies are as single minded as the Provarinati... sheesh... I've also come to the conclusion that Hohm Tech's scalability is the issue. 1000s of good mods on the market, but the uptick in sales this time of year has seriously impacted their QC...That really sucks, have you posted this on the VU Hohm Wrecker thread?

.I do not have any issues with the interface. The cover does come off a tetch easy, but I have a solution: don't run RDAs with tight o-ring on it. I run mine with tanks. Avoid tanks with seep/leak issues, though, as the liquid heads straight into to crack between the body and housing...I find the battery sleeve quite firm. It has some side slop in the fit of the sleeve, but a little piece sticky back felt (thin) on each side will solve that quite nicely.
It doesn't get raving reviews. I watched the Vaping Bogan's review of it first and knew the UI issues he had were fixed with firmware. I love the hand feel of it and the fact that I'll get some nice run time with 8400mAh. I can overlook a wonky TC and a few fixable fit issues.
Got it on sale with a free pair of Hohm GROWN's so I couldn't say no.![]()

It's a Not-A-Clone-Because-We-Changed-The-Airflow-Slots clone of the Modfather. As such, it's nice... I wish the deck was velocity, but otherwise...How do you like the Alpha Beast/ I have one coming this week.

I have the firmware V1.2 on mine, it was the first thing I did. I'm thinking it might be a lower wattage thing as I didn't notice the issue when I was vaping the Temple over 100W.I'm enjoying mine in TC. ^^This^^I wanted a Modfather but can never find one in stock.
Neither do I, the UI is simple and easy to use. The first version wouldn't remember any setting etc...I do not have any issues with the interface.
