Could be a possibility depending on availability.

Any opinion on the Omega Alpha or Calypso? ( I know its a Genny Style... ;))
The Beast was readily available and cheap in Black Friday... check VaporWorld.com.

The Alpha I do not know, and the Calypso is just too big... I have one, and it's hard to get a warm, flavorful vape off the durn thing...

Looking further, I recall that the Alpha is the Not-A-Clone version of the VCMT. I skipped the Alpha as I have a VCMT.

Also might want to wait and see if the Aromamizer 30 mm materializes...

I've been bashed about for this on other threads, but I firmly believe that charging over 1 Amp is no Buenos for batteries. I like the Gyrfalcon line as they've removed the temptation :) not just that, but being able to charge up to 8 x 26650 simultaneously at 1 amp each... just wow. Independent bays, so I can charge a 26650 next to a AAA NiMh... wow again... I have a spare 2 bay xtar, and I had an i4, but with my two Gyrfalcons (8 bay at home and 4 bay at work), I feel pretty prepared...

They sound like great chargers! From what I've read charging 26650 at 2A is still quite a bit below 1C. The Hohm Slice LE will charge their Hohm Grown battery at 3A providing the USB can supply the current.

VW will only ship in the US, $20 (current) looks like great price for the Beast.

The VCMT didn't peak my interest for some reason.
I'm waiting for Aromamizer Plus reviews to come out.

Thanks for all the info!

Let us know how the VCMT performs!

I'm shocked!! UPS just delivered it. Normally I don't get delivery till after 6pm. I'm usually the last stop of the night before they head back to the depot. I'm going to give it a wash and put some coils in it. I'll post some pics and first impressions when I get a chance! :thumb:

OK here goes.

So I received my VCMT and a OBS Crius Plus.
U9y3Uac.jpg

So first impression of the VCMT. Very well built, machined well and very heavy in weight.
I had build some staple coils using .4mm x .1mm ribbon wire and 36ga A1 Kanthal. Well I build dual 5 wrap 3.5 ID coils which came in at 0.16 ohms. I couldn't wait to hit these suckers. Then the first disappointment came. The coils were too big for the chimney!
S8YPKvi.jpg

I should have realized this when I looked at the coils they supply and they were 24ga 2.0 ID. So after all the effort of making the staples I thought this sucks now what do I put in it. So back to the drawing board. I used my old reliable SS316L 26ga/32ga Clapton coils with a 2.5 ID 7 wraps which ohmed out at .24. Wicked them and the chimney fit. Yea!!!
tTnqrfn.jpg

So I put it on my Wismec Reuleaux 2/3 in SS TC 480 degrees at 70 watts. After all the disappointment of not getting the staples too fit, and thinking that I was going to be able to put big builds in this, I have to say that I'm pleasantly surprised how well the VCMT vapes. It has nice flavor, good airflow, and nice clouds.

Now that not to say that this thing doesn't have some flaws. I wish that it had more than one kidney shaped hole in the top cap for filling. It is fairly small compared to other atty's. Like Shawn said it does weep some juice. It seems to weep from the bottom of the atty where the airflow ring and bottom connect. I'm not sure if you can change o-rings since I haven't tried to take it totally apart. Not being able to close the juice flow after it's put together is a con. You do get a little juice coming out of the air hole when you first fill it up. It does stop after the first hit.
Another con would be that you can't use big coils in it. ID's of 2.5 maybe 3.0 would be the biggest possible.
For the $16 bucks I paid for it I'm happy. I wouldn't be if I had paid full price for it.
Over all it's not a bad atty and maybe after a little use it will grow on me. Right now I would say it's OK.

I will do something on the OBS Crius Plus if anyone is interested. I do like that one better! :thumb:

Thanks for the VCMT review @LJFinFLA , I think I'll take a pass on it.

The Crius Plus is my daily driver. I had an issue with TC stability because of the way the deck center post press up against the base mounted 510 pin. I solved that by turning the pin and the grommet over and putting it in from the other side. You will need to turn the diameter of the 510 pin head down a smidgen, a file and drill work perfectly for that. Others don't seem have a TC problem but mine did for some reason.

My Crius Plus also seeps between the base and AFC ring just like the Merlin only not as bad. Other than that I love the fill port and it vapes like a charm. The Quad Deck is very nice as well but it burns through the juice like it's free. :D

I have it on the LUX now to see what kind of battery life I am going to get. Between the included iJoy's and a pair of Hohm GROWN 26650's that I received for free with the LUX. I'm looking to get a week out of the LUX at 480F/50W.

Thanks for heads up on the Crius Plus TD. I will keep an eye on it when I put some SS wire in it. With the kanthal staple coils in it now I have been using it on the HohmWrecker in Kanthal TC and I've not had any problems with it so far. I've only run a couple of tanks so far. I have it set on 75% FSK curve, 450 degrees at 80Watts. Seems to be working well. I do like this better than the VCMT.

A week without changing batts would be sweet. Let me know how that works out for you. I hate having to change batts a few times a day. Having something last that long would be a dream come true!!

I see Vaporworld has the Crius Plus for $5 bucks in Black only. I think that a few more might be in order!! :D

i just bought a tfv8. can i still be a whomper or do i have to join the cloud chasers now. hitting it at 150w. clouds for days!

I heard good things about the TFV8. I just can't see myself vaping at that wattage though. I am not knocking it and I know they say it's not a hot vape but I go through 3-4 pairs of batteries as it is now at only 80 watts.
I'd have to plug myself into an outlet with a long extension cord at that wattage or change batts every hit.

A Crius+ for $5? That's a deal. I have mine built out with dual Claptons 316L at 0.25 Ohm and it's a great performer in TC 40w 450F. And thanks for the review of the VCMT.

Your welcome Eskie. $5 bucks is a great price for sure!
The VCMT is not a bad tank. It's like a lot of them. They all have their different quirks. Like I said it was worth it for what I paid but I would be disappointed if I paid full price.

At this point I'm honestly so satisfied with my OBS Engines and Crius+ it's taking a lot to grab my attention away. I still like my Merlin and Bellus, but I rarely have them out anymore, and I've defaulted over to my Super tank for those times I want to use something with factory coils while traveling. I also have my serpent mini in the drawer as the 2 ml fill just doesn't do it for me unless I'm using a low watt, high ohm, high nic setup.

I guess I really am a womper now. ;)

Like I said. I find myself reaching for it. Well half as often sometimes. I mean its love hate. Love how it hits but get dizzy sometimes. Im at 3mg and might need to go down to 1.5. And the vape is only warm at 150. It's insane

I was an early adpoter of the TFV8. Surprisingly I liked it but didn't useit much. Then I learned a few whacks of low nic worked better for me then many whacks of high nic.

Then the TFV8 was going to work everyday with me.

The came the baby beast..........

Then another TFV8.......................

Then a Big Baby......................

Then the T10 coil......................

I still love to build for fun but can't build anything with the flavor of the TFV series.

Got four Beasts in rotation and honestly none of my dozens of RTA's and RDA's are getting any love except K5Mini and Merlin that are used for a certain use.

Sounds like some here are planning on buying themselves a Christmas present!

My Smok Koopor 200W quit firing the other day. Upon inspection I discovered that the center contact had come loose from the spring part. That wasn't apparent until I turned it upside down and tapped it lightly on the counter. The center contact popped out when I did that. There's a brass rod welded to the top of the spring and the contact sits in that so it can go up and down as the atomizer is screwed in. Apparently the spot weld on the contact came loose.

No one advertises parts for it, so I may take it apart and see if there's a way to fix it. If not, I'll just replace it for $49.99 or less. For that price or less I can get another Wismec Reuleaux 200W or some other dual/triple battery mod.

I have the rx200. Very satisfied with it. My most recent mod is the ipv5 and I love it. The only beef I have with it is that it's not good at reading the ohms of stainless steel coils. Of course a lot of mods struggle with that

And then you pick up a Hohm Wrecker G2 and don't have that problem ever again... :D
