Because the dor is about to close on vaping here in NY I fear for VG. Is there a use for VG that would make poisoning it impossible?? Like alcohol. Everclear costs me 25 bucks a liter when I make applepie but denatured alcohol for making shellac costs me 25 bucks a gallon. Can they make "denatured" VG??

Next up is soy based VG. I've always used the regular stuff which is palm based but now I see soy is the thing. Any differance??

VG is also used in soaps, creams, lotions, etc. We get ours at Bulk Apothecary, where we get all our essential oils. It's labeled as "100% Pure USP-Kosher Grade" so it should be good. It had BETTER be, we've been using it now for most of a year! LOL! I should know the difference between soy and palm based VG, but I don't. Maybe someone else does.

USP glycerol (VG) is made from many things. The end product is chemically identical no matter what you start with.

It has been claimed that you can not tell the difference in the taste between soy, palm or any other VG. Essential Depot is sold out of all but the soy VG.

I just made some measurements of this little atty insulator Lannie has been asking about, and I have searched and searched trying to find such a thing (e.g., 510 insulator, iSub G atomizer insulator, grommet, etc., etc., ad nauseum) with no luck. I found some 510 insulators for mod center pins that look similar, but either the material (too hard/stiff) or dimensions were wrong. I made a crude sketch:

Anyone have a clue where this object might be obtained?

I am just the kind of strange person who would do such a thing IF my shop had the materials to do it. I suppose I could buy the materials, but the accountant part of me says, "Whoa, dude! That would cost more than a few years' supply of brand new atomizers." Oh well... (then again, as quickly as Lannie goes through these things, maybe not.)
