I was very addicted to cigarettes but never to nic in vaping, it has always baffled me how some need their liquid nic so much when I have no withdrawal effects at all. It was only when the nic was combined with the other toxins that It became addictive. Maybe it's all in the mind, I dunno but there is obviously a reason why some can't do without it and some can. o_O

Maybe it's some kind of chemical reaction or something. All I know is when I don't have my nic, I WANT IT. I can vape zero nic instead, and I did that for about a week, but it was horrible. I got really badly depressed (first time in my life, I think), and didn't have the motivation to move my behind off the couch to do the work that needs to be done around here. When I realized it was the dreaded condition, "Lackonic," (HEY, I wonder if that's where the word laconic comes from - LOL!), I got back on the nic and recovered completely in a day or so. But I felt very baaaad, and I don't wanna go back there.

I know I'm not getting all those other chemicals now that I was when I smoked, so I can't explain it, but it's a real thing.

The other thing we deal with here at Casa de Cooler is my wife is addicted to nicotine now.

In just over a year she's gone from a never smoker to a stone cold vape junkie. Slip her some 0mg or even cut her juice and she'll cut my throat.

I've been dealing with nicotine addiction for decades so I'm used to it but seeing how powerful the addiction is in somebody who never smoked is,............is,............. I don't know. They say the nicotine itself doesn't cause much harm but still it makes ya wonder.

So I guess that puts the lie to the statement that nic by itself isn't addictive. I had read that laboratory mice who were allowed to "self-medicate" with nic after they'd been given a certain amount for a while, declined to imbibe, and so the assumption was that it wasn't actually addictive. Well, maybe it isn't, to mice. Maybe mice are different from people. Or maybe they didn't have enough. Or for long enough. And everyone is different. ;)

I'm just glad I was able to get off cigarettes with plain ol' nic juice. I was honestly worried I'd have to go the WTA route when I first started reading about vaping. I mean, I was hard-core, and for quitting to have been this easy... still amazes me.

When I was a smoker, I actually believed it was the nic (and/or other chemicals in the tobacco) that made me smoke for 50 years. In the last few years of smoking, however, I began to have doubts because I was never one to inhale deeply, so how could I be addicted like everyone else? I spent two months tapering down from stinkies after starting vaping and the reason (besides me being a cheap bastitch who was gonna use up all the butts I had already paid for) was that the scientist side of me had to know what it was that I desired and how could I eliminate that need. You can call vaping a placebo effect if you want to, but I discovered my addiction was not the tobacco itself (even though I enjoyed the flavor back then), but to the "suck and blow" satisfaction (so obviously, it is all in my head), which likely stemmed from childhood of watching every adult in my life (including TV and movies) suck on the cigarette, then blow out smoke, and it made them look, somehow, more mature. I started sneaking mom's Marlboro reds when I was 12. A pack a month. She never missed them. Walked a mile down the road to the woods to light up, then sat back and blew some smoke and thought that made me an adult. I stopped for a couple years in high school, probably because none of my close friends smoked, but started again when I joined the USAF (smoke 'em if ya got 'em). But today, I am perfectly happy to suck and blow vapor instead of smoke and it makes no difference to me whether the juice is 18mg or 0mg, the taste and the act of sucking in that taste seem to do the trick. Could I just lay these toys down now? Yes, though I am sure I'd probably chew on the end of my pencil instead, but I won't go back to cigarettes, so no matter what happens with the government, they have lost my cigarette taxes forever!

So true. I related everything to having a cig. Morning Coffee-Light up. After a meal-Light up. Get in the car-Light up.
Working on something-Light up. Definitely hand to mouth habit too. But I seriously think that it's something in a cig that is more habit forming besides the nic. And Oh Yea they've lost my tax money forever too!!!

I had a REAL hard time quitting and I'm still on WTA with nic. Hope I'm not doomed.

That's fine Atcha. The main thing is no more stinkies. Just ween off the WTA a little at a time and you'll be fine. Besides we won't let you slide back! YA HEAR!!!! :p:D

After vaping who would want too, I have had a few smokes as I trust myself now, I'd say 3 cigs in 18 months and they taste so bad, nobody surely is going back to those after the lovely flavors we have been tasting. Hell, I'll chew gum instead lol

Hand to mouth gesture is a big part. Nicotine is not necessarily "Addictive" but it works just like Prozac in a way with Dopamine receptors so people like me get "Dependant" on it. I can Vape 18mg all day and the next switch to 3mg and be just fine and I can resist from Vaping for hours without cravings but, if I keep going cold turkey without it my body will start craving it again... Some need to slowely get off it just like Anti-Deptessants..

I'm on anti-depressants, AND nic gum, AND wta. I'll always be on anti-depressants. I'm no longer on the high dosage I used to be, but still know I'll need them forever. Or cry every minute of every day. I'm just happy for being off the cigs and taking things one day at a time. Smoked 2pad for 33 years. Marlboro Reds. Who knows, maybe it's our body chemistry. Take dieting for instance. I can go on a diet and have no problem losing weight. Walk away from donuts, cake, etc. But vaping and nic gum, forget it. That's something "will power" doesn't work on.....at least mine.

It was not my intent to be dismissive of your beliefs, I apologize if I was.
Oh Kad.......... I am so sorry sweetheart! I would never intentionally have caused you additional pain, and I hope you can forgive me. You were not at all dismissive of my beliefs, in fact, you handled what I said with a grace and dignity that was astounding. I hope you can forgive me.

I'm in love, no, not who you think..

Charlie Noble tripoli, now I don't like tobacco flavors, it's not my thing but this juice is so good.

This just about sums it up.

Wow big bold flavors right off the bat. Just like Pistachio RY4 this juice makes a statement.

I get everything with this juice, the description is perfect. I get the figs on the inhale, no doubt about it. The mouthfeel is thick and rich and the almonds provide the perfect nuttiness to compliment the sweetness on the inhale. This juice does not allow the tobacco to sit in the background like Pistachio RY4 did, the tobacco comes out to play and it means business. If you have never had a tobacco vape this is a great place to start.

The blend of turkish tobacco and rare spices is on point. They have a nice kick in the throat but it's not too much, just a light spice that feels satisfying. This flavor is what a good, quality tobacco should taste like. It has a touch of sweet, a touch of spice and oh so nice. Once again I find myself raving over a juice flavor that just last week would have flown so far below my radar that I would never even consider it.

The balance is perfect, the inhale is bold, and the exhale is very satisfying.
