Oh, I also meant to say (I got distracted by the "ECF Veteran" thing), we've lost a LOT of animals in the last several years. It's scary to think about how many. When we moved here, we had three dogs, three horses, and five cats. Two of the cats are still with us, but they're very old now, and all the rest are gone, including a bunch that we got AFTER we moved here, and that was only 12 years ago. Accidents, illnesses, and old age really suck.

@Rixsta, you have a Serpent Mini? Who else?

I'm "tempted"...... Why should I get one?????

If it's as good as the full sized Serpent, the reason is BECAUSE! LOL! I got the full sized ones, and they're my best tanks right now. You have to wick them just right, but it's not hard. They don't hold all that much juice, so I'd be worried the mini would hold even less, but if it's also a top-fill, I guess it wouldn't be so bad.

LOL - o.k. I "guess" that's a good reason?????

I actually prefer "smaller" tanks. I have "Flavor ADD", and I need to switch often. I'm digging RDAs for that reason. However, they're not convenient for me at work (I need "tootling gear" because I have to stealth-vape. I've been called out a couple of times, but I'm trying to keep on the downlow....)

I think my KF V3 Minis will be perfect for work. But, I'm "sipping" on my Velocity at the moment. I tend toward single-coil builds, so I'm wondering if this would be another "fun" topper for my arsenal.....

Well, I think mine are GREAT flavor tanks, and I have flavor ADD, too, so these two are my current favorites, but there are also 3 iSub Gs, an Aromamizer, and a Lemo2 all sitting on mods, all loaded with different flavors. I'm like a butterfly, going from one to another. I get bored so quick with just one flavor, I have to switch them out all the time.

I have several more tanks coming from FT, including a Boreas, and I see Kad just recommended the Merlin, which I'm also looking at. Shhh, don't tell Rich!

OK, well, even with a basic 1ohm kanthal build, minimal airflow, and low wattage, the Merlin puts out more clouds than any other MtL tank I have, so it may not fit your work needs. But you still need to get one.:p

Thank you! It's a day I'd never imagined. Being a year off cigs. Never in my wildest dreams...

I am almost 27 months (Friday) Can't believe it either. I'd started with cigalikes in 2010, but they just couldn't satisfy me. I still have my original kit, and in a desperate hitch, I could use them (with a carto)

    Boo-yah!

Do not try and bend the skillet, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth...there is no skillet.

    Sorry, mixing my movie metaphors.
yes huh there is.......and I can prove it!!!
Me whackin Semi with the other guys laid out.jpg

And hey........we can see ya now!!! Nice pic!!

Keep some of that wire handy.
I will, but gotta git me some first. She gave me enough for two coils and I done coilt em. lol Was gonna try Temco this time, but just looked and they don't have SS, but lightning vapes does.

I've come to like SS wire. I have a bit to complement my kanthal options. Even have a spool of SS Clapton for my RDAs.

I coiled my KF V3 mini plus and am running in TC mode. It's extremely pleasant, compared to running the same in power mode. I'm not getting the "off hits" like was getting in power mode.
I've never tried clapton coils, but am thinking maybe not so great in a squonker, but dunno. Folks say the nooks and crannies hold more juice right on the wire, but since it doesn't sit inside a tank on a squonker, I am wondering if that might tend to burn the juice more? What do you think? or anyone?

The same thing happened to me when I tried my .5 ohm coil for the first time. "OMG, THIS is where the flavor lives!" LOL! And no, it's not too hot, is it? It's *juuuuust right." ;)
kanthal .5 is horrible for me. Super hot Patooie Spit Spit!! But with the SS it's fine!

Deb, on a fresh battery, I'm figuring you're at just under 30 watts (I assume you're using the Reo?), and that's my sweet spot, too. Higher than that, sometimes I get slightly burned flavor, lower and the flavor dies off. But 30 watts at .5 to .6 ohms is perfect for me.
oh holy cow, didn't even think about that! I've never vaped at 30 watts before! lol When I used regulated, and also on my Reos, the most I've gone is 13 watts  But just checked it and jup right at 30. I'm glad I didn't realize that steam coil doesn't divide for you like coil toy does.......this was a happy accident. :)

I'm HOPING mama kitten took the other baby to hide it someplace safe,
I hope so too. (((((((((Lannie and Rich))))))))))))) I'm so sorry bout the other baby. I know that's awful.

I wonder if Boden or Mooch has done any studies?
If not I bet they would if ya asked. Shall we ring for one of them? @Boden lol

@Debadoo .. If they are good juice makers ya know what's in it, just not what flavorings they use or the percentages. I can live with that. You can usually tell when a juice uses low quality stuff. DIY is good but sometimes I like to treat myself.
true! I've had some that was just awful. Made my throat scratchy etc.

I'm leaving Thursday and coming back Monday. :)
awwwww that's wonderful and what a great way to celebrate no more working Saturdays!!!

Same here. I'm very happy to have met Debadoo in person.
me too me too me too me too!!!!!

Well, that's the other consideration - I do like moar airflow.... Even my PT2s have AFC bases  So, if the Serpent/Mini is too tight (like a Kayfun or KF Lite) it won't be something I'll enjoy....

Mebbe the Merlin is an option (I just have a hard time paying more than $20 for a topper  )

Happy accidents are good. :) I'd probably still be happily puffing tootles if not for one kind ECF member who sent me an iSub G and a Disrupter to fire it with. ;) I was scared of that tank for the longest time! ROFL! I loved the Disrupter, but I used my Protanks on it all the time. Then one day... my curiosity got the better of me, and well, the rest is history. I never looked back. :D

And now I have my "veteran" tag for being here a year. :) It actually HAS been exactly 52 weeks today, even though the DATE was the 6th. It was Sunday, a year ago today, when I smoked my last cigarette. :D

I had been really tempted too, but then Boden and someone else (maybe kad) convinced me I needed a Merlin instead, but like kad said, may not be your thing if you like small tanks and tootlin. But might be a great one for home since you have tootler work gear. Check out some vids and see what you think. The merlins are about 30.00 which is a lot (for me anyhow) but hopefully I'll be getting one next month. Mind you, I've never used on RTA, only BF RDAs. But I'm pretty sure I'll love it.

Hmm, I'll have to take another pic, but while vaping on my Boreas. That'll solve the problem of you being able to see me.:D

I tried a clapton in an RDA on a mech and rebuilt that RDA after only a short amount of time. I don't think burning is a big concern, but clapton takes longer to heat up. So on a mech it just took to long to ramp up. I suppose I could have built at a different resistance, but that was my experience and I imagine you'd have the same issue with your Reos. On a regulated mod you just increase the wattage to compensate, but on a mech it is what it is.

@Debadoo, I run claptons on regulated mods - that lets me keep the power up for as long as the battery lasts. Otherwise, I don't think your vape would stay very consistent.... If I was running a Reo as a primary vape, I'd probably keep the resistance around 1Ω to extend the life of the battery.... I dunno - just my :2c:

I don't have a Reo, but I do have the Dripbox (well, two now). I do run dual coils on the Dripbox, but it's not used super-often. It's a "treat" :)
