Will PG burn? I would hate to make an aerosol bomb
lmao. Reckin we'll find out. I wouldn't think so. They use it in hospital air, and I would imagine they used it even back when folks could smoke in rooms. Of course you couldn't smoke in a room if someone was on oxygen, cuz it is flammable.

Tried deep frying with PG it made a huge cloud.

Not really but I would think it would cause some excitement.

You want excitement, come over for the "couch burning" once we get a new one. A burning sofa is a sight to behold. FLOOOF! (Ask me how I know. ;))

300 mls of juice made, and I want to make some more. 120 of it is for my sil and nephew. Got the watermelon, green apple, pineapple made. I'm calling it Summer Splash :) Gonna let it all sit a day or so then try some

Oooh, that's a GREAT name, too! I need to make a bigger bottle of the blueberry yogurt, and a big bottle of Summer Splash, too, methinks. I think the pineapple would make it SO good, and to hell with trying to get the watermelon to apple ratio just right.

See, this is one of those times when you're trying to clone a commercial juice, but you come up with something better instead. I was after a watermelon/green apple juice, but I hadn't hit it just right yet. Now I don't have to. I'll just toss in some pineapple and it'll be PERFECTUMUNDO! :D (I still wanna try a little bit with some Koolada, though, 'cuz I think that would be really yummy, too, 'specially on those really hot days.)

Pg vapor is very flammable, once it coalesces into aerosol not so much.

I've never tried anything with koolada in it, but I do have some. May add a couple drops to one tank and see what I think of it.

Ahhhhhh, Boreas, 3mm 24g/32g, 7 wrap claptons, 0.35ohm, 85w. 2.5mm deck, vaping like a champ, no leaks, intense flavor and the custard juice was a massive hit with us both and it's not even steeped properly yet.
No doubt this tank is a power house.

I just read an interesting thing from the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (part of the CDC). (I know, I know, but listen...) I had heard somewhere, maybe here on ECF, that the whole PG in hospital ventilation systems was false. It USED to be used, back in the 50s, but not anymore. Anyway, so I went looking for something to confirm or deny that. All I could find in a brief search was stuff put out by vaping companies (which will naturally be biased), and an article by the ATSDR about whether or not it's toxic. The whole page is WRITTEN to sound "scary," but it turns out, an average 160 pound person can "consume" nearly TWO LITERS of it and still be within the World Health Organization's "safety limit." And you know how they underestimate safety limits on everything. That statement was at the very bottom of the article. Most people wouldn't read that far, I'm thinking, so that's why they put it there.

Which really has nothing to do with anything, but I thought it was interesting. And they DO, after all, put that horrible "antifreeze" in children's cough syrup. So next time someone says something bad about PG, you'll know better. Well, I know you all already do, but now there are some actual numbers. ;)

Here's the article if anyone wants to read it: ATSDR - Public Health Statement: Propylene Glycol

Oh, yeah, Deb, don't use too much Koolada! I use like 1% to get a "cool finish," and 1.5% gives it a definite menthol type chill. Try ONE DROP in a tank, depending on the size of the tank. :)

Drat! If we're gonna have that big of a party here, I guess I'll have to build TWO picnic tables as well as buying a new BBQ...

I'd been warned about not using much, but didn't realize it was THAT bad. lol I have some mixed with some vg, so may add one drop of that to a 4ml tank

Yeah, try that, one drop at a time (don't know what your dilution rate is). Better to start low and add more if you think it needs it. One thing I found is that it's much stronger the longer it ages. I have a bottle of frost dragon (dragonfruit/strawberry/koolada) that was perfect a couple months ago, but when I got into it the other day, the menthol was overpowering. So it's kind of a touchy one. Use up what you make quickly, or put in a very low amount and let it sit around for a while and THEN check it. I don't use it in a whole lot of things, but I love the coolness of it, so the juice I do use it in usually doesn't last long. I simply "forgot" about that bottle of frost dragon for a while. It's still not garbage, though, because mixed half and half with another fruity type juice, it's still very good! :)
