I tried Lannie's iSub tanks. I tried a Herecles and a Triton (and gave them to Lannie immediately). Sorry... don't like 'em at all. Anything I have tried to do direct lung hits with, I get no flavor. I am sure that is just my tongue yelling, "Hey! Hold that stuff here long enough for these antique buds to sense it!" When I do MTL, however, the process is about 6-10 seconds (the fire button being ON only for half that) and my tongue is happy that way. One or 1.5 second hits do absolutely nothing for me. Oh well...
Oddly I've never considered my Triton to be a direct lung tank. It's a fabulous MtL tank, at least using the 1.8ohm coils.

My original view on direct lung hitting was similar to yours, too short and fast, I needed the longer more drawn out hits from MtL. Then I tried a setup that forced me to direct lung, and after a few hits figured out how to do it "the right way." The quotes there mean the right way for me, not necessarily saying for everybody. Anyway, once I figured it out, I am taking longer hits. Maybe not as long as with my MtL stuff, but more than just a couple seconds. That was the turning point for me, now I do enjoy it, though I'm still vaping my MtL stuff more than my direct lung stuff.

Not saying you should change anything. You like what you got, no reason to chase after something different. Just letting you know that my experience was I'd tried it before and didn't like it and figured I never would. But that was because I hadn't learned how to DL in the way that worked for me.

I used my fake Harbour Freight Dremel.:D
oh kewl. Wow, if it does that, it must be kinda good at least. I've been wanting a dremel, will have to check that out, cuz the good ones are too pricey.

Yes roll the vapor around like fine coffee or scotch and exhale slowly, perhaps blow some through the nasal cavity too. I sometimes shallow inhale the last bit of vapor. All I have read suggests that we absorb most nic from vapor in the mouth and nasal cavity.
Ok, yeah, she's been doing that quite a bit lately with her cigs even. She asked me to make her some juice, so I did.....150 mls worth. She tried my Reo, dual coils, .6 ohms but it was SS coils. Didn't make her cough, but she only inhaled a tiny bit of the 3rd draw she took. What nic level do you vape. She's always done 24 but dunno if that will be enough to get her to switch. She knows she has to quit smoking, but doesn't believe she can

I had the same situation. I was a Mtl'er, but the first atty I had when I got my first Reo, was an Odin, and you had to DL on that one. Was weird at first, but when I got used to about a slow 4 second draw, I found out I loved it that way

I promised my little girl that as long as she is alive, she will have a home with me. I never broke a promise in my life and I have no intentions of doing so now, so if I must put up with the ex in order to make my cat happy, so be it. Thats the road I must travel.

I guess we ARE cosmic twins. :) I would do the exact same thing.

@Lannie. Wonder how your getting on with the beast ?

The Beast, tamed, she is. ;) I've vaped most of a tank over the course of the afternoon, every once in a while (MOST of the time ;)) checking the holes for leakage, but there hasn't been a drop. It was all that blasted o-ring's fault. However, I'm getting WAY too much nic now! LOL! I have some of your raspberry custard doughnut in there at 1mg, and I'm hanging off the ceiling already. It was getting down to less than half full, so I topped it off with some zero nic strawberry ice cream stuff and it's truly wonderful.

However, not only is the tank hot now (and the 75-80VG juice looks like water in there, it's so hot), but the whole dang MOD is hot. Not too hot, but "warm," you know? Will a bigger mod prevent that, or is it just the nature of this beast to heat the mod up like that? I have it right now on the iStick 60 at 60 watts, and I think it would like more wattage, please. ;) I don't have anything that goes higher except the Target, and I don't want to push a single 18650 battery much over 60, so I'm keeping it on the iStick for now. Anyway, I left The Beast upstairs to cool down a bit, and brought one of the Disrupters and an iSub tank down to the dungeon with me.

But hey, so far, success! And I LOVE THE VAPE from it. I could chuck a pretty serious cloud with this if'n I wanted to. ;)

That's great news!!! Even with a dual mod it will get warm. It is the nature of the Beast!!!

I was kinda hoping that two batteries maybe wouldn't have to work so hard, but I think it's just heat from the tank transferring down the body of the mod anyway, so it's not the battery working too hard and getting warm (although it IS warm, but that's because everything else is...). I'm still learning. :D I'll just set the Boreas aside every now and again, and vape something else while she's cooling down.

Ha, more wattage, it's normal for the tank to get hotish, as for the Istick your running the mod at full wack, it's gonna be hot. You won't get that as much with a dual mod, ya really do need one for the Boreas. I'm glad it's working now and your enjoying it, even if you are buzzin lol
Check you out, clouds mom, clouds

thanks. Bookmarked both of em to show my son. Any big advantage of the 25.00 one over the 10.00 one???

and also FWIW I vape 20/80 PG/VG. Good luck. :)
Thanks. I know 8mg would never do it for her, but hoping she can switch. She does prefer high VG, but I vape 70-75 PG and buy my nic in all PG, so with ejuicemup I can't get her juice to 80PG. I've gotten some to 75, but some to only 65VG.

The motor on the $10 one bogs down. Not really very good.

Well Emma bought some bubbles and I am sober in the head but have jelly legs, like, real bad. Time for bed. Night Y'all.

    Later Buddy.

I picked up a few from FT a couple of orders ago. I like using them, especially with the Stumpy. I think it helps. Just a lot more surface area to dissipate the heat. Still warm, but not nearly as hot as without

you just hold it in your mouth to get the nic absorbed? Or don't need the nic so much. I'm asking cuz my sil has a hard time inhaling cuz of her severe COPD.
When I was a smoker, I never inhaled like "normal" people. I did something that, back in the '50s, was called "French Inhaling." Suck it in your mouth, but do not take it into your lungs. Open the mouth slightly and breathe in through your nose. The smoke comes out of the mouth and goes up the nose, then back into the mouth at the back of the throat. Yes, you will get some in your lungs, but likely less than 10% of what a "normal" smoker takes in. And, as Woofer pointed out, a lot of nic is absorbed through the nasal cavity. That is also the way I vape today - most of the time... sometimes I do MTL and rarely DL, but it is usually as described above. It works for me...
