Maybe find your clone on fastech, and check the comments, reviews and such? Might be someone there has a similar problem and the right size for the screws?

That's a good idea. Maybe I'm not the only one with loose screws. (I was always told it wasn't the loose screw, it was the nut behind the wheel. That was in my drag racing days... ;))

She's right... one single 60W incandescent in the Dungeon and I didn't try to color-correct in a photo program.

Nope. Too late to fix it. I should have had better lighting when I took the picture.

Ooooh, I like the green one better! :D

Easy way to tell; thread the screw half way in, if it wiggles the hole is oversized.

It wiggles when it's backed out only a scoche (I don't know how that's spelled, sorry), so obviously, I'M SCREWED! :-x

With something that small the only fixes are shim hacks. Which I don't recommend unless it's an emergency repair. (Stuck in the desert etc.)

What about snagging a couple of screws from another atty? I have spares for all the tanks I have now, and they all came with spare screws. In fact, this stupid Goblin mini clone came with ONE spare screw (only ONE?), but it's both the negative posts that are wonky. In case it's not the hole that's too big, but the screw that's too small. I guess that would be possible, huh? I'm just trying to try everything I can before I toss this. I'm having a hard time thinking about throwing something away that we just bought and I haven't even got to USE yet. (Well, I suppose I can try that, and it still won't work, and THEN I'll have to throw it away... but I gotsta try...)

Clones are like lottery tickets. Most are trash. My old assistant would by clones from fastech, I'd say 4 out of 5 needed a fix of some kind.

OK, gang, some serious screw questions (Lannie would have done this, but she's afraid to even say "screws" at the moment). :)

She went up and made two coils for that Goblin mini thingie. According to the calculator, the total should have measured about half an Ohm. She assembled them and put them on the tester: 0.39Ω... no, wait... 0.17Ω. What? I wiggled them around and discovered a coil was barely touching the ground post. It then measured 0.50Ω. OK, she done it good, right? Then she put them on a Disrupter and heated them up and it read 0.67Ω, then 1.23Ω, then... well, it went as high as 2.5Ω and we discovered that the screws were backing off all by themselves, thereby making lousy connections and increasing the resistance (at least momentarily). I tightened them as tight as they would go so we could not blame Lannie's weak thumbs. It measured good again. It was still screwed into the mod and just us handling the mod - WITHOUT TOUCHING THE DECK OR THE DAMN SCREWS - the resistance changed because the screws on the two outside posts were unscrewing themselves!!! Between the two of us, we probably tightened those screws a dozen times and they refuse to stay tight. Are the screws too small for the holes they are in? Where does one find replacement screws for something this tiny?

Now what?

Is the 510 pin tight? Worth giving a try.

I sure am having bad luck with tanks lately. But for an RTA noob, I think I'm taking it rather well, don't you? :p
yes you are! definitely try some other screws. If you really like the tank, might be worth getting an authentic, or at least a clone from a US store that is more likely to stand behind it. But I'd even contact FT...they may send a new one and tell ya to keep that one or give you your money back, they do that somewhat easy from what I understand from others

I have some of their Honey Badger that I have been dripping into the Royal Hunter. Mighty tasty stuff!

I'm really enjoying Wonder Worm, so good.

OK squonkers, thoughts on good squonk ready RDAs? Gonna be getting into squonking soon, don't want to mess with drilling, dremmeling, etc so only looking for something that comes with a bf pin. Found a good price on the Tobeco Velocity Mini at Vapor Beast, any other suggestions?

I picked up a regular Velocity (not mini) off ebay with a BF pin for like $20 a while back.

I actually got my velocities from gearbest - under $10 included the bf pin.

I'd gotten a Challice III clone a year ago, but it was so tiny, I broke it before I could ever build it.

Those and the RDA that comes with the Dripbox is tolerable

I don't care for the Rm2, I need more air, and dual coils. So my current fav is the derringer Rm8. What type of vape do you like? I can't remember. What kinda squonker ya gonna get?

I checked that already, and it's tight.

I pulled the other tank out last night just to see how the screws fit in it, and they seem to be OK. I could tighten them down and it took a little bit of turning with the screwdriver to loosen them up again. I think this one tank just has bad posts. I haven't tried different screws in it yet, but I'll do that today, JUST IN CASE, but I think unless I could replace the posts on this one, it's garbage. It's a shame, because I really made some nice coils for it. Considering how small they are, I was pretty darn proud of myself. ;)

Mini right now is under $10 at Vaporbeast, Velocity 2 is I think $18, but I was leaning towards the Mini anyway.

Finding myself mostly in the open MtL range, but enjoying some occasional semi-restricted lung hits also.
Getting a Coppervape BF Mod, a few people 'elsewhere' seem to like it, got in on a group buy. Comes with an atty, but I know nothing about it, and never a bad idea to have options.

I drilled out the air hole in it and it works great. I think I used a 1/16 drill bit.

How do you like the Vortice? Good price, and I was thinking about ordering something else from STS anyway, so might add one to my order if you give it a thumbs up.

The Vortice is a decent atty. The airflow is a little restricted but not bad at all.

OK it was just a thought since that happens to me once in awhile on some of my attys. Shame it's not working right. Like @Debadoo said maybe contact FT to see if they will help out
