I know, I thought my coils where just gunking up quicker, turned it upside down to check the coils ect and when I picked the tank up, brown gunk came out the drip tip. This was using my Isle of custard juice that I have been getting for 2 years now, so I knew it wasn't that. Looked at the chamber inside and the black had turned to a golden brown color, yup, I've obviously being inhaling that coating.
Seems my perfect tank is not that perfect after all, pretty fed up about it, contacted my supplier now, something has to be done about this..

Well that's a negative experience for you. It looked good in black. I guess you'll find out how it looks in SS, assuming it cleans up well enough.

Eliquids can be an amazing solvent. Basically any glue except cyanoacrylate will dissolve in it. So any paint (glue based) on a tank will break down eventually.

I cleaned the inside of the chamber with mother's billet, it took ages but it's seems to have fixed the problem.

Just a heads up, if anyone is thinking of getting a Modfather, don't get the black ones, the coating is coming off, it gets all on your coils, wicks and in your juice, I could see inside where it has come away. I had to remove it all myself back down to SS in the chamber.. I'll talk more about it on Tuesday

I'd take the whole tank and coat it with a citrus based paint remover for a day or so then let it sit in 90% denatured for a few days. Then a good while in an ultrasonic cleaner.

It seems that the coating is the same as the Boreas and I've never had a problem with that.
Maybe a bad batch, both tanks were from the same supplier, I have no idea but either way, the inside coating is coming off and mixing with my juice..

Not sure about this tank but I been hear a ultrasonic has been eating the finish off the coated Kabukis.

No doubt, a strong enough ultrasonic cleaner will destroy any hard coating.

I'm guessing most vapers don't know you have to match the W/ga to the job.

The the new V3, it's a parallel series mod, just built some 0.5ohm twisted claptons for it, as it's 8.4v, should be a good vape.

Well my boxer has given up the ghost, I'm having a really bad run atm with vaping..

I unscrewed the tank off and the whole 510 came off with it, had to dismantle the tank to get to the deck to get it off, not only that, the little nut that holds the 510 spring in came off too and I can't get it back on..

Another email to the supplier to get it repaired, just more hassle ect...

I have to say, although it was killing me, opening a pack of smokes and lighting one was a lot dam easier !

Lawless drip tip still not arrived, my HOG V3 which updated to say it was in the UK, now says delivered, well it ain't been delivered..

I still have the expensive N1 custom box to be finished and sent yet, who knows what grief I have coming with that.

Hopefully the 30mm mason tank will cheer me up a bit tomorrow..

Back to the hexohm v3 and the boreas, trouble is, the airflow feels restricted now and I really miss the modfather, everything I vape is just meh.....
