Not sure if anyone uses a squonker in here, but I am loving this atty. To me the flavor is awesome, and the price is even better, YMMV

All CNC machined aluminum case, battery sled and buttons, no plastic here.Yea not a beauty contest winner but the chip is supposed to be really good. Kanthal TC and all. I really can't comment on the chip as I haven't used one yet.
Maybe @TrollDragon can enlighten us since he has one already.![]()

The G2 with the latest firmware (2.5.7) has preset settings for KA1, NiCr, Ti, Ni200, SS304, SS316, SS317 and SS340 as well as W (Tungsten). It can also TC any wire type through the advanced xXx mode. That mode allows you to dial in the FSK chip to suit your vaping style.
The automatic modes work very well and most people don't need to venture past those, but with all the variation in wire manufacturing, you might need to set the FSK percentage.
This is not a DNA type of mod. In my opinion it's better, I can TC a pair of fused KA1 Claptons and not worry about if I dripped or not, I'm a lazy dripper...
It takes a little time to learn, and the people who don't like them (ignoring the aesthetics) usually didn't spend the effort.
It's a daily driver for me along with the VT133.
HOhm Tech put out a few good videos on You Tube, they are a little dated (Old Firmware) and should be updated, but the concept is still the same.
Make sure to get the "ShenRay" clone like Focalecig has, there is a difference in the clones, from what I have read. JMHOIt's on my next list from FT, never in stock for me when I have an order ready...![]()

I know what you mean on the quality thing. I have gotten some from both FT & FC that were really crap, which sucks after waiting 2 to 3 weeks to get it. I am really happy with this ShenRay clone. The only problem I had was the machine oil taste, I really should have washed it first, I know better. Thanks for the advice.
I might just get the ShenRay it from FC then, they take longer to ship, but a quality clone I can wait for.

Looking forward to it!
Mine has landed in Montreal, so next week for me.
There are multiple menus, each accessed with a triple click of the mode button.TD do you have any advice or hints for me before I fire this thing up?
Any info would be appreciated!
There are multiple menus, each accessed with a triple click of the mode button.
Hold the mode button for 4 seconds to turn it on, and hold it again to turn it off.
When changing RTAs you need to reset the resistance. You remove the old atty, press the fire button and the screen will read Atomizer Connect then screw on your new atty.
My G2 and others were keeping the old atty resistance setting and you had to do this reset quite a few times to get the new readings. I contacted Hohm Tech about it and was told that you need to screw the new atty down within 10 seconds of the connect message. This has worked perfectly ever since doing it this way. Remove old atty, partially screw on the new one, hit fire and screw down the new atty. Hit fire again for the updated reading.
If it gives you a Damaged Atomizer message on fire, then you might have had the new atty screwed on too far when you hit fire to clear it.
If you are going to do a SS build on it first, just hit the mode button 3 times till you get to the screen with SS, select SS and the type on the next screen. Three quick clicks of the Fire button will flip the power and temp settings so you can adjust them.
I start with 460F and 65W for a regular 26g or 24g build in SS316L. If you hit the Fire button and the power drops right off to zero then you need to up the temp 10 degrees and try again.
Remember that it is not a DNA and does require some fine tuning, especially in Kanthal builds.
Don't get discouraged, watch some of the HOhm Tech videos, they have one for new owners or ask away. Over at the other place there is a big Wrecker G2 thread, chock full of information.
