I am coming to the conclusion that I really prefer airier toppers and even lower ohms/higher power. I'd built a KF V5 and even with wide-open airflow, thought I was sucking a milkshake through a coffee (covfefe  ) stirrer. I've won a couple of tanks recently in various contests - Innokin Scion and smok Vape Pen. Mommamia - the Scion with a 0.28Ω coil ROCKS at 95-100W. Even the Vape Pen and the Smok Baby Beast are amazing around 60+ W Even at the higher power, these lil debbils CRANK the flavor. I'm tasting flavors more intensely than on other tanks  To the "Dark Side" I have come......

I have the same problem when I go back to a really tight draw, I just can't do it. I like the smooth airflow. I have found I can get that at lower power and still have a nice warm vape. Temp control help a lot with that, but even something like the BBB with 0.15 ohm 6 wire whatever they call it was fine at 50W. My favorite coil from them is actually the Q2 (?) 0.4 ohm coil. Simple, nice flavor, good at 40W.

During a recent trip I used my Triton mini for stealth, and while it did satisfy my nic needs (with a higher nic juice than regular) it just didn't satisfy my vape needs. I was happy to come home to my little wind tunnels.

Congrats and welcome to the Dark Side, you have to stop now or there is no going back!

The more you use airy attys, you begin to crave the massive flavor and vapor density. Eventually none of the MTL style attys will fill that need, I have a Kayfun 4 that I can still use on the mini volt for stealthy (high nic thin juice) purposes. ;)

So if you plan to ever vape MTL gear again, stop this journey down the path to the Dark Side! It is a very slippery slope with no return. :D :vapor:

Man, I wish I could be frolicking in the sun and surf. That sounds like fun!
Funny thing, I live within a half hour of a couple nice beaches, with a few more just a bit further away than that. I can't remember the last time I actually went to one.

Not entirely true, today I am happily vaping on an iJoy Elf, an Aspire Nauti X, a Tobeco Supertank Mini, and a Cthulhu Hastur V2S, back and forth.

Sir Kadly, are you not still in Indiana? If so, WHAT beaches?
I am now about 1500 miles from a beach (i.e., sand fronted by an ocean) and the last time I was at the beach was.... uh, about 14 years ago, before we escaped Orygun.

Well, you see, there is this great big huge body of water called Lake Michigan. No, it isn't the ocean, but standing on the beaches the only way you'd know that is the lack of saltwater smell.

Ahhhhh... difference in nomenclature. The only time I was at Lake Michigan was Chicago (the "smell" was strong, but not saltwater ), and applying the language I grew up with, I just called that a shoreline. Sorry...

Chicago? Yeah, that was more of a shoreline than a beach. Are these beaches?

All depends on the gear, the Elf is a MTL tank and I don't classify the X or Supertank as dark side gear. The Hastur could be with a proper build, dual polished 20g maybe? ;)

If you have ever enjoyed the massive density and extreme flavor from true Dark Side gear...

Elf and X are both MTL, Supertank and Hastur are definitely not. Elf and X running at low watts, 15 for the elf, 6.8 for the X. Supertank at 50, Hastur at, ummm, gonna have to do the calculations, about 60ish. My point was I enjoy both MTL and open airy attys, sometimes within mere seconds of each other. I was mostly replying to this line...

It's all good. My initial warning to Ding about the dark side was a little tongue in cheek. I think she was rocking the Velocity's long before the rest of us were.

I need something for my new eggroll tank. It spit hot liquid out last night. I was hoping it wouldn't start that sputtering nonsense. But, it did. I still think they are adorable!

Well, I guess I'll try the clr coil and see if that helps.
I read the reviews of the coils and it seems the CL is mediocre compared to the CLR.

wow Atcha, shame you are having troubles with the eGo ONE, but sounds like you are using the crummy CL coils...
I shoulda told you better to use the CLR coils exclusively

the stock CL coils are VERTICAL which tend to spit and snap more...
the CLR coils are HORIZONTAL and IMO lend to an over-all better vape...
suggest to get .5Ω & 1.0Ω in CLR

you SHOULDN'T need these, but nice to know they are available...
