Hey gang. Time to start developing my mod in earnest. @TrollDragon have you bought any DIY parts from Canadian suppliers at all (510s, etc.)?

I'll be alright sourcing my materials and whatnot, but the vape specific stuff I'd love to know a good place to look.

[EDIT] Should note that I'm going mechanical, resin casts, so no chips or mosfets needed.

I'm still around but angry about vaping these days after dealing with Evolve .

The Rebel lasted a week and the Drone a couple months. 500 beans worth of DNA garbage.

I gave away every mod with a DNA chip. Not sold as I don't sell garbage, GAVE.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Its one thing to sell garbage. But stand behind your stuff. Even Harbor Freight stands behind what they sell.

After weeks of playing there games they said send it in. By then I was so angery I figgered why bother?? At most they will just put another garbage DNA chip in.

So these days I vape on what I've basicly always used, an RX200 with a dripper. I have several but only use my first one. Its a couple years old with a carbon fiber wrap and still looks and works like new. That Wismec chip is so much better then DNA its amazing.

I have actually never bought any mod supplies in Canada.

My 510's came from FatDaddy or Varitube. I see that Big Al is selling ModMaker 510's in regular and bottom feed, so that is where the next ones will come from. MM510's are supposed to be one of the best.

My iPWM board came from Big Als Mods but I might check out the Voltrove Smart PWM or NLPWM next build. Battery sled's from Motley Mods, there are mixed opinion's on those so I'm going to try and find some highly praised MosMax sleds.

Alpinetech CNC cases are excellent, much better than the Hammond boxes as there is no lean to them.

I never bothered with any 3D printed stuff as it all seems a too little pricey for the quality, but the Floris boxes look very good.

Many things out there it all depends what you need at the time and who has what in stock. :)

Wow, just thinking about Evolve has me so angry I'm shaking.

Never even knew a company so bad could exsist.

Sorry to hear about the issues and the miserable experience. My first and only DNA was the Therion BF and while the board never failed on me, I was wholly unable to use SS with it and when you pair it with the awful quirks of the Therion, the result was a flip two months later (I did sell mine, not willing to call it garbage, but I was explicit with the buyer about its quirks and sold it for a pittance).

Of note, the only regulated device I've kept around is my RX Mini. Damn thing is wonderful for what it is.

Thanks for this, hombre. I'm going to be casting my enclosure (I have a fine arts background, so this could get weird) and will likely find a co-op for machining. Big things for me to work out in terms of what I can't create will be the 510s and sourcing quality brass/copper/silver sheets.

Both mine died with the same error code.

The DNA75 was garbage from day one. The 40's I'd actually had good luck with.

Squonking is a idea I like but single battery just doesn't work for me. I still have some Wraiths. The chipset is head and shoulders better then DNA but the mod itself isn't to great. both my son and I have had battery door issues. My house mod is held shut with Gorilla tape. My driving Wraith is doing well. Single battery is fine for short periods. I don't use alot of power but I do hit it alot. Rebel mod with a Wraith chip would be nice. Yihi would be better.

My work mod is the thing. I have little time to vape and what I bring needs to be self contained and one 100% like a rock. Bottle of joose in my pocket is fine but no batteries. Two is fine, 3 is better. One is none. Mechs are usable but not ideal. 528 has a dualy coming I'm interested in. Ecig-City has a smoking deal on a VAMP mod. 113$ with 20700 battery and 60ml of joose.

That is going to be a sweet mod for sure!

I've seen some really nice etched mod cases that are head and tails above engraving, doesn't seem that hard but nothing I'd be able to do in the apartment (WAF -100).

I'd love to have this deeply etched into the side of a mod.

And an Assassins Creed logo and a VaultTech logo and...

Dang! Try to think of something else for a while. But dang. Just dang!

The up time on some of the China chips makes me smile.

The RX200 has THOUSANDS of hours on it.

My wife's Alien is a year old (looks 500 years old) and since she got it she rarely uses anything else. And boy howdy does she use it.Figger about 18 hours a day times 330 days she's hitting that thing.

I've got my Rx200 plus my wife doesn't use her's since she got the Alien and I have a couple 200s's so I'm thinking mod purchases are prolly over for 15-20 years.

New drippers OTOH still call. The Dead Rabbit is AMAZING. Best dripper to date by far. Unlikely to replace it for some time but you never know.

Between the cat wearing those MDR-R10s, your penchant for DIY and your other geekiness, I remain convinced we'd be buds if we lived closer together.

The Vic Vaper mk. I is gonna be... very likely mediocre! But it will vape, mark my words.

Hey Troll, honestly I haven’t really Vaped in a year from moving and stress. sometimes on and off...

Keep trying to fully switch back over.
So what are these new boards/mods you mentioned in above post?
I left off with DNAs and some other TC mods but nothing special.

Never did get any DNA 60s :( still have a few DNA 40s for stock along with alot of other backups lol

I wanted to put a DNA 60 in my Hana V4 as @rhelton did.
