I agree with the up front costs being higher, but part of the buying spree is to insure agaist failure since noone wants to to back to analogs. I jsut mixed up my first DIY juice and it's great. After you have 1 passthrough, 2 chargers, 5 bats, 10 attys, and 25 carts, the fear of being left without hardware goes away and the DIY ejuice is really much cheaper than analogs...... not to mention the lack of drawbacks to the analogs that have already been covered.

I think your overall health from getting away from analogs plays a big part. I could get addicted to just about anything. So I always think things through. I read up on how, what and where to buy ecigs for months. Bought my first (cheap one) just to actually see how it works. Now I keep carts & juice at home, on my desk at work and in the car. I've yet to figure out how much I've spent. It is nice to read the forum and vape.

I like the rest here have spent quit a bit in my first weeks and for see the spending for a small while. This is for me and the wife so we would spend close to 600 or better a month on analogs and not blink an eye. Funny thing is she already has a flavor she vapes all day and has no need to try others. Me on the other hand still am working through this one and keep switching up. I have noticed the flavors are changing on me or the way they taste is anyway.

We started with the 510's then I got a Riva cause the batteries would not last long enough for me at work with the 510. Then I went and bought a Ego so she could have a better batteries and I could have back up's. Then all the juice's O my lol.

But since we have started we have to other people trying and others that are really raising there eye brows and starting to think. Hey maybe I could do this and if and when they do I want to be able to help them as I was also helped by a friend at work. Who might I mention is becoming a friend outside the job also. Thanks buddy...Hell I owe him big time just for being him.

I think in the end as long this will be worth it.

Wow you have some self restraint! I spent that much this weekend. lol

lol, well I realized, the bulk of the money you spend will be at the beginning getting your vaping equipment, after that the amount you spend is so little :)

I'm happy with my ego right now, i'm going to get a 5v box mod soon (10 bucks) and after that I should be set :)

I've been really lucky with the juice I have by trading so that also cuts down on the amount I would've spent. I was so happy when I broke even about 2 weeks ago lol

But you gotta realize, money isn't a thing compared to your health

I just ordered my first 2 PV's on Fri.-should receive soon (I hope!!), bought 145 ml's of e-juice so far on top of the 10 carts that came with the kits...I can't seem to stop buying juice! Guess I'm so afraid I won't have one I like enough to make me want to keep going! I've been a 1pk+/d smoker for 25 yrs and my DH is not tolerant...sooo hoping this works as well for me as so many on this forum...

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
that is AWESOME.....this should be on some website as an introduction to those who are looking into vaping....
with a BIG reminder that there is a LOT more savings when it comes to your health.
just look at a hospital bill for someone who has been hospitalized with COPD or other smoking related disease!

The savings in my Sig are about right... except that the cost actually includes all of my gf's juice and equipment too but not her analog consumption. Also doesn't count the $60 carton just bought for this Vegas trip. So glad I don't live here because I'd never be able to stop.

I was lucky and actually knew someone from work before I started this and didn't go through any of the horrible equipment some do.

Just made my first DIY liquid purchase too so savings will only get better.

Hard not to save money when I was smoking 2-3 packs a day. :)

I honestly didn't go into it thinking of cost savings, I just wanted to quit analogs, which so far I have done. I have not done any calculations on if I have saved or spent more just yet, im just so tickled to have put down a bad habit that I had for a very very long time!

I knew in the beginning during my trial and error period of trying different things out Id spend a bit more than when i get to the sustain period. I have only been doing this a little less than two weeks so I am not quite there in sustain only phase yet but it should be coming soon!
