I guess I am a little lucky as my nephew that got me into vaping has went literally nuts trading and buying on the forums here. All his shipments are made to my office so I always know when he has new stuff. LOL I have still spent over 250 in about 3 months because of all the mods and different cartos for my V4L. But since I breathe better, sleep better and my wife likes to kiss me more I feel it is worth every penny.

I personally have only bought 1 starter kit and enough juice to last me 2 months+ (80mL). I've added 8 carts as well. Total cost SO FAR roughly 76.00.

This will last me easily 2 months... and is around the cost of a carton of smokes (68.00 + tax). Not to mention that 1 carton of smokes would only last me around 9 days, whereas this will last me (battery maybe not) 2 months. (but what's another 10.00 if I need a battery?)

I didn't jump into this buying a bunch of useless crap or a bunch of diff e-cigs, because I researched before I bought. To date yes, I've put more into vaping than smoking. But you better believe by then end of my 1st month of vaping I will not only saved money, but saved my health, my son's health, and helped lessened the waste and toxins going into the environment.

The ONLY future plans I have is to buy an eGo, keep my juice, and cartos stocked...
I don't plan on making this like a collection hobby and have 10 different models and 100 diff flavors of juice. (who knows what the future holds LOL)
I'm happy knowing I FEEL better and not putting 4000+ chemicals in my body. << that alone is enough (even if I was forking 100's into vaping)

Some people jump into this buying the cheapest setup possible. Moving up to an even better, to better, to better. This can become quite costly using this method and I would rather suggest to noobs (as myself) to cut costs of buying and buying: research and watch youtube vids of all of the products out there. Know what you are buying and know what will die on you in a few days or will most likely cause you to keep buying e-cig kit after e-cig kit.

I'm no pro by any means, just a middle class American Citizen, who wants to save a little money and save my lungs as well as others around me. I think researching before buying is what stopped me from spending 200 - 300.00 right of the bat.

If down the road this does become more like a hobby, then at least I know I'm smoke-free and not giving my money to tobacco companies. We all know the outcome of smoking for years on end and is the reason why so many vapers band together because it's OUR choice of what we put in our bodies. I've always been concerned with the foods I ingest, I should have the choice between healthier way of nicotine or deadly chemicals from smoking.

For me the things I love about being smoke-free: I don't smell like crap, I don't have constant sweats (and I mean that literally, constant), I can taste things better, I can breath better than I have in 15 years, my son (who is 2.5) isn't around carbon monoxide... I no longer have a "smoke room" in my house... it is now my office room in which I can hide away my supplies (lock and key) from my son and the smoke smell is almost gone after 1 week (thinkin a fresh coat of paint will fix that)

Sorry you haven't had a positive experience like most have. I had some issues with items at 1st, but now I have to say; this is 1 of the top 10 things I am GLAD I've done with my life! :) GL with your journey... and I hope you continue to vape vs smoking.

lol...once you find one you REALLY like, and a juice you REALLY like, it will get better. Just don't worry about keeping up with all the "new stuff" I wish i had just gone with an ego right off the bat...woulda saved me a lil cash...lol. I only spend about $30-$40 a month now, if that, and I was spending close to $175 a month on my pack a day habit. it will get better...promise...lol.

I went nuts, spending on stuff. But I smoked three and a half packs a day at NYC prices (just went up to over $12 a pack.) So I'm way ahead. And in September I've spent a grand total of $15.22. I've got enough juice to last until the end of the year (although there are 2 flavors I would restock if I ran out.) Other than that, the only spending I foresee is some extra cartos and maybe some extra batteries for my Little Chuck.

It does take a while, but the costs do eventually start leveling off.

From my initial purchase in July, I've spent $460. I started with a basic 2 eGo setup, then moved up just a smidge to a bigger eGo battery for my husband, plus two USB ego batts for me (I feel like a hoarder, but I live in fear one of my batts will die) plus a couple of attys here and there, with the remainder being on juice. (Oh, also a cobbled together eGo kit for a friend (no word if it's working for her - she's kind of the type of person who will read one bad thing and decide to keep smoking, I'm afraid - but still money well spent, IMO - but I'm not going to include that in my total). So roughly 170 in parts, and (gulp!) $290 in juice. Well, consider how much of that is shipping and the numbers don't look so bad - but the quantity of orders I place sure does!

Sounds scary expensive, right? 71 days since I took my last drag of an analog, my husband and I have saved $415 over the course of less than two and a half months. And now that I'm settling into a routine where I don't feel like I have to vape ALL THE FLAVORS I can see that we'll probably spend about $60 a month on juice (once I work through my stockpile) and maybe $10 on misc. parts. And that's being generous.

So what all of that means is we can expect an easy $300 a month - a MONTH - saved.

There is more to the story. And I will not go into that right now.

But in the 6 days since I put out my last tobacco cigarette, I have spent over $1000 on E-cig supplies.

Man o Man.....
Ya but you probably have enough hardware/juice to last quite awhile and you aren't smoking. I'm in the same boat but I feel good about it..

Mephisto, out of all of them, which is your fav? I have a friend that is thinking of starting. If you could only keep one, which would it be? I only have one, a LUX from Modern Vapor. Love it, but nothing to compare it to, ya know?

I'll let you know next week some time as I'm still waiting on a few of my orders. I'll have everything on hand next week to do a proper eval!
