Bap, had I known about this alumiweld about a month ago, I probably would have bought some. I don't know yet what for, but just for the possibility. They say a propane torch is adequete, but would a butane torch work too?

Unhooked, yes the battery (18350) sits in the bowl and no, there is no carto in the stem - it's kind off a self made replacable dual coil atomizer based on the compact "needle & pins" setup....
Here's a quick snapshot of the guts before I closed it all up.

Is this stuff safe for inside a tank? If not I could cover it with safe silicone...
DrMA's link is way better, but I used a different approach here. I used the alumiweld to weld a thin brass plate to solder to.
Can these alu solders be used with a regular iron - or do they require special temperatures (I should probably read up on them)?
