Im from buffalo too! and i know what you mean, there are alot of shops around here.Which road is this one on? i just noticed theres one on walden in depew.didnt catch the name.....I tend to stay away from most of them because they are either way too expensive and i mix my own juice for a fraction of the cost,or they dont know half as much as I do about the products they sell! I will definitly be telling freinds and family to stay away from this one....

I'm from Olean NY which I'm sure you've heard of. I haven't been to any shops in buffalo though. I would like to check out the Buffalo Vapor Lounge that just opened in Springville the next time I make it up that way. I was in Niagara Falls last night and went through Springville but it was too late at night and they weren't open. Sorry for going off topic.

Oh, I am absolutely fearless. So fearless, in fact, that I will now consume a whole glass full of dihydrogen monoxide!
Although I have read this about it:

Yum yum! I am just going to drink it down! Or... would such an action be naive?
Should I rather buy from a shop that advertises absolutely dihydrogenmonoxide-free drinks, not like the competition that is poisoning us?

this stuff is dangerous!

Who exactly are your witty attempts at re-posting well known e-mail chain letters targeted at. We have all been 12 years old at one point and <gasp> dihydrogen monoxide... that sounds dangerous... oh no... don't do it.

I don't understand the basis of your posts? Noone has stated the danger of chemicals In general. In fact... I thought anyone with a Grade 6 education (basic chemistry) would understand this, and not have to state it. Are we learning neat things today anja.... good for us. It's snack time now. Now that's condescending.

Don't joke around with that stuff.

My parents gave it to me when I was young, I guess to stop me crying... But I'm not bitter.

When I was a teenager, feeling pretty fearless, I'd drink pint after pint of it with little thought of the consequences.

Now I just can't stop. It's like I can't live without it.

@WidowsSon

You claim you're not scaremongering, but are still yet to source your claims about PG contaminants.

Now fill a big bag of it and put your head in it then breathe for 10 minutes. Would you?

Nice Willy,

This is what started me into reading about the PG, Just don't trust that vendors take it seriously enough, would rather purchase the best grade possible for myself and know what I'm vaping...

Apparently doing this is ok, as long as you don't share your experience with others on ECF, because then your spreading FUD.

It must be nice to be fearless, completely certain of everything and doubtless, although I thought that was naïve.

I have been known to take crazy fearless risks ... heck, I smoked for 30 years knowing the risk was growing worse every day :2cool:

See, now this page is just wrong (lol).

FYI to Widowson, NO not everyone has seen this. I have never seen this before & if my mom were to see this she'd totally believe it lol.

so to answer your question about the point of Anja's posts, this is proof that anything can be spun to look bad.

I am more curious what the point of your posts are at this point.

Well, I must say, anybody who lists BSE as an ingredient ... hm....... and not in meat either ..... may just benefit from a large dose of dihydrogen monoxide.... :D

Gotta be careful, though... look at the uses of this stuff! That makes "antifreeze" look like drinking water

What are some uses of Dihydrogen Monoxide?

Despite the known dangers of DHMO, it continues to be used daily by industry, government, and even in private homes across the U.S. and worldwide. Some of the well-known uses of Dihydrogen Monoxide are:

as an industrial solvent and coolant,
in nuclear power plants,
by the U.S. Navy in the propulsion systems of some older vessels,
by elite athletes to improve performance,
in the production of Styrofoam,
in biological and chemical weapons manufacture,
in the development of genetically engineering crops and animals,
as a spray-on fire suppressant and ......ant,
in so-called "family planning" or "reproductive health" clinics,
as a major ingredient in many home-brewed bombs,
as a byproduct of hydrocarbon combustion in furnaces and air conditioning compressor operation...

@StormFinch:

Wow! You really are just as fearless - or is it naive? :D - as I am!
Yeah.... we live the dangerous life!

I bet you even wash your apples with dihydrogen monoxide!

Maybe we should instead go out and make the world a safer place, you and I? :)

Message sent.

Well this thread has gotten heated. All I will say is this: if anything were to happen to cause PG to be so frowned upon that juice suppliers only made VG juice, I would be screwed. I can not tolerate high quantities of VG as I have bad reactions to too much of this substance. So for me this is especially detrimental to my own ability to continue vaping.

I seriously hope other ejuice producers don't jump on the band wagon with this type of advertising. I don't care about companies that want to promote their juice as 100% VG. I do care that they do it by trying to imply that the alternative is poison & will kill people. In my personal experience I think the VG is significantly worse for me.

Thanks for sending them a message and being part of a responsible vaping community. There was no need for this thread to get "heated" as the intent of the thread was to highlight a problematic supplier, using an incendiary tactic to get business, and trying respectfully to get them to change their tactics. Some couldn't seem to understand that.

And I know what you mean about PG vs VG. Too much VG gives me a very heavy feeling in the lungs. I vape 80% or more PG eliquid.

Too much VG makes me feel like I'm getting Strep & it's awful. I have some pretty serious sinus issues and smoking was starting to really exacerbate this problem. At first I thought I would never be able to stick with vaping cuz my throat hurt way more when I started vaping than it ever did when smoking. But then I learned it was the VG & once I cut back to 80/20 pg/vg my problems have lessened considerably. I do not want to see companies going the 100%vg route. That just would not be good for me at all.

Now I'll preface this by saying I believe vaping is 100 times better than smoking. I am not sure it is healthy though. Once the long term studies are done well then we will see. I'll gamble though.

I can vape for hours straight as I am sure most of us can. Pg has been around awhile. Not all studies say it is the greatest thing since sliced bread. This is a study by the CDC done as an addendum to a 1997 study on it and ethylene glycol (which kills kittens well and pretty much anything else that drinks it.)

http://www.atsdr.cdc.gov/toxprofiles/propylene_glycol_addendum.pdf

Mainly a study on rats, bunnies and other nuisance critters. Nice of them to volunteer for the tests. :2cool:

Anyway I like to be know what I am putting into my body and how it will affect it. That is one of the reason I decided to make the switch. Amazing that when we all smoked the smokes tasted like crap. Now we have to find the most delicious liquid around, yet it never bothered us before. Well I still enjoy my cigars so... oh well one poison at a time.

Sure Anja, give me a minute though. I need to run to the kitchen for another glass of dihydrogen monoxide. It will be filtered however, as that added fluoride scares me. ;)

Hey storm,

it should, fluoride is one of the most dangerous chemicals known to man, and has nothing to do with delivering safe water like chlorine does. (although chlorine is also dangerous, it's the lesser of two evils like vaping. It's better than the water born diseases you'd get without it, and it can be removed easily at the delivery site unlike fluoride which requires aluminium to be removed which is dangerous in it's own rite, and then has to be removed.)

Just saying.

EDIT: Your filter won't remove fluoride... sorry storm. :(

Yes yes, the world is a dangerous place ... sigh....

I think I'll have a cookie.
But oh, whatever shall I do? I am so frightened! I just read that cookies cause.. gasp.. addiction!

Well.. maybe not. Some people tend to differ.

Maybe some scare-mongering just needs to be taken with a grain of salt. :)

On the other hand, salt is used as antifreeze  My grandma used to sprinkle it on the sidewalk....

Yes, yes, the world is a dangerous place ...

Non Synthetic Glycerine or PG (the stuff that we use in our juice) can and usually does contain some the following:

So, it's the fact that it is a non-synthetic, NATURAL version that makes it bad for some people? That's funny.

Honestly, whoever wrote the description of PG for this vendor's website was obviously being disingenuous. However, based on how generic the e-cig info is, they likely just copied some generic info from somewhere else. They definitely need to take the misleading info off their site.

What I'm more interested in is: Where did they get their info if they didn't write it themselves? Because there may be a company out their that will continue to give the same misinformation to other vendors selling their products. And, so it spreads.

Does anyone recognize the description from anywhere else? (besides ANTZ propaganda, of course)

Again, what pill you choose is your prerogative, but don't get mad at the rest of us.

Are we children here Anja, Your fallacy of extension does not change fact. Cookies and fluoride are at different ends of the spectrum. Nor can you make a claim with ridiculous links and then counter it as If I made the original point. Noone here is talking cookies except you. We're inhaling something into our lungs, I'd like to know what it is, if you don't, fine, I couldn't care less.

I would think your needling me, but sadly I know your not.

And yes, salt isn't good for you either, stay clear.
