Those of you that started with and them moved away from cig-a-likes, don't get rid of them.

I tossed my original cig-a-likes which were not really what I would call vaping now that I have gotten into actual vaping but I still have the 510's I bought after my first ego-c for use when I was 'in public' until I became more comfortable using what I liked no matter funny glances :)

I have never gotten rid of any of my other original stuff including the 510's - and now and then find a use for one or the other although they are not my primary device, except for a few extra ego-c knock offs that passed along to smokers I knew that were interested in vaping but not ready to invest. And actually each paid off as it got them vaping.

IMO I don't thin you ever totally outgrow all your prior stuff. It may only get used now and then, or around for backup or whatever but as long as it still works and you can get a good vape out of it its there for you and the day may come you are in the mood to use it for whatever reason... maybe to just match your t-shirt :)

The chain vapors out there. Don't you find your larger devices a bit cumbersome when doing some common tasks like crawling in the attic, running the weed wacker, or doing mundane things that require both hands?

How about when you are washing a bunch of stuff that is not suitable for the dishwasher? Grab an automatic cig-a-like and wash away hands free.

I gave mine to my mom.
I've got my sigelei 99% of the time, and I still have 2 vision spinners as "backup" and floating around a 400 and 650 ego.
thats small enough, but i'm still of the smoker mentality so i'm cool with stopping what i'm doing to vape :p

I'm planning on picking up some flings however (I gave all of mine to mom) for emergency emergency backup, super sick (cin or menthol) and can't taste, or to give away. I'm sure of the occasion called for it I could use them then too (maybe taking kids to pool!)

I started on cig-a-likes like many of you. I moved to other things and kept moving till I found something that would meet 98% of my wants. I got rid of my cig-a-likes, twists, and the other stuff after finding my stopping point. I learned that while the large device I ended up with was great I found times when my old smallest device was a better option.

A cig-a-like might not ever be your favorite solution I am finding out it is nice to have one loaded up and sitting around when something small and handy is a virtue. I remember going from standard sized batteries to the longest I could find for more battery life. I am finding now that I have large devices with large tanks on them that the cig-a-like with the shorter battery makes more sense as the complement to the big device.

If I had to do it all over again I would have got my big device first and would have gotten a different cig-a-like but I would still get one, I would just have been smarter in my selection.

Don't get rid of your cig-a-likes like I did, they might come in handy once in awhile.

Not sure why you got rid of it in the first place?

I just don't have it in me to waste anything. I'm an extremely cautious consumer. I *very* rarely spend money.....but when I do, regardless of what type of product I'm shopping for....I often spend days, if not weeks learning as much as I can...comparing prices and features from various brands....reading reviews, etc etc.

I'm the type of person who doesn't make purchases often.....therefore when I do, I have the option of getting the best of whatever it is I want. That is how I prefer to shop :)

Keep in mind, the "best" is a relevant term.....and I've NEVER found the "best" of anything to correspond to any dollar sign. In fact.....in many consumer products....there is a point where the increase in dollars spent on said product doesn't stay equal to quality of product. In other words.....often times the products that are the MOST EXPENSIVE in any consumer category are often only SLIGHTLY better, if better AT ALL, then a decent mid-high , or low-high end product.

Personally, I went with the eGo-twist batteries, and my delivery systems are a pro tank, and 2 evods. I couldn't ask for anything more :D

When I first started buying things I didn't know this forum existed. I bought a bunch of different cigalike kits, most of my vaping favors a larger unit so they were not what I was looking for at the time (so I thought). I found the forum and didn't like almost everything I tried until I finally got the last big unit I bought.

I then realized I could use something small. I had boxes full of stuff that I got rid of. The only thing I ended up missing was having a cig-a-like around. I don't miss my twists at all.

I did have a niche that went unfilled what was not part of my initial search and that is being taken care of now.

Of all the stuff I got rid of only the cig-a-likes were missed. I think part of that was so many posted that they were a waste. Not for me, to me they are handy 5% of the time.

When I'm driving about - which I do a lot for work - I've usually got one Ego/Clearo in a pocket, but my backup, in another pocket or in the car, is one or two from my collection of 510's. I've got like 10 of them - mostly the longer "mega" 510's.
I still like the hot hit I get from my low res. cartos with them.
