mesh is even more dangerous Blue because much more surface of the metal wick has to be oxidised. To my opinion, these devices have to leave e-cig market as soon as possible
I knew, that You would say this, Imeo ;). But oxidising is not oxidising, most people do to much and ruin the taste. Unfortunately a well coiled IN'AX has a wonderful, clear taste, difficult to reach on other ways. But Tilemahos with Ti and Rayon is very, very near and for some luquids even better. Proteus with Pene V3/4 will be an experiment for me, hoping to get VIR for JustGG and Esterigon very soon. I see the risks of mesh and hope to get an better alternative with your new stuff :). Like, to test new techniques and I'm interested, what I can reach with VIR :)

By the way, a red hot coil cant be vaped at all :)

what do you mean by this? i use RXW and notice that on low resistance coils that thr wire can (not often) get red hot while vaping.

so if i build a coil, and then fire it red hot to ensure the coil is heating from the center out, that is bad right?

will the coil getting red hot leave a oxidation behind that can be inhaled the next time i vape with it?

or is it only bad for it to red hot WHILE vaping?

More clear taste doesnt mean much blue. Many things in life have nice taste but they kill us every day. Oxidation may smell nice but that doesnt mean anything if you agree :)

Imagine your wife cooking on rusted pans. You would kill her. Or imagine a person selling rusted pots. You would think he is an idiot.

your wire gets red hot while vaping clicker? Thats simply impossible. Please recheck it:)

yes, if you build a coil and then fire it red hot to ensure the coil is heating from the center out, that is bad

yes, the coil getting red hot leaves an oxidation behind that can be inhaled the next time you vape with it

actually it is possible. well, sometimes. i dont always vape e-fluids. i also vape e-solids and have a special coil/wick setup. basically its 26 or 28g kanthal (switching to titanium i think). i thread that wire through a roughly 1.25" piece of 1/8" ReadyXWick. then that wire/RXW combo gets wrapped into a stovetop coil. essentially making a flat porous "pad" that I apply e-solids to directly. So sometimes when vaping, depending on resistance, the coil will get red hot when not paying attention. Im almost certain this happens.

Anyway, I really appreciate the info. This is the first I have heard of this so I am trying to soak it all in. So is there debate as to how harmful this is? As in the level of toxicity?

Oh and when your device becomes available will you be selling the chip by itself like the DBA chips?

I didnt know about e-solids clicker:)

level of toxicity is very high. Formaldehyde for example is at more than 40 times than analogs. If your coil is getting red hot, better vape liquida and let solids out of your habits.

Except formaldehyde, the oxides of your wire dissolved to your liquid and thats one more big danger for your health

Ok guys, the thread is pretty long, so I'll be unpolite and ask directly: ESG's titanium is not grade 1, but grade1 is what we will need for VIR, since SS has been dropped, right?
The obvious question: will ESG have grade1 Ti in stock by the time proteus is shipped or do we have to figure out a way to buy it somewhere else?

Imeo said that of course his sellers will have titanium grade 1 with proteus sales. we will just have to wait and see :D.

Damn! Now I'm cheesed. I already had the non-G1... Now I've bought another lot! What a waste... Not a happy camper.

You can see on the ESG product description:
The Titanium alloy contains: Titanium, aluminium, nickel, chrome, iron.
...

Yes - it does "eventually" say that. In the last line of text. But most people, I think, know that VIR is already will within sight, and that Titanium wire is required. Natural enough to think that Titanium wire is being sold.
Clicking on ESG Titanium wire brings up this page:
6710db430506b78f7a54491d3e50b1fd.jpg

This says Titanium wire - it does not say alloy.
It is from this page that the order can be placed - which I did. I "thought" I was ordering what was written here - Titanium wire...
It should be clearer - earlier on - that this is still an alloy...
I'm happy for all of the smug experts who seem to know all the answers - and for those who "liked" the response.
It is only money after all...
