I see there's evidence that the oxidation of any metal coil MAY be hazardous. I'm wondering if there's any evidence that it has actually been hazardous to vapers. That may be out of the scope of this thread, but if there's any sources that show proof that people's health has been effected in a negative way I'd be curious to see them.
If titanium is theoretically safer than Kanthal and Nichrome, I do indeed see that as a good thing. If the oxidation of wire has been proven harmful to vapers based on real studies instead of speculation, I think that info would be VERY important to vapers. I'm not asking that this thread provides sources to research that has been done, but if this info is based on speculation and theory I think it's important that that's noted.
Dry burning my
coils is something I do very often, because I vape juices like NETs that gunk up coils quick. If the reason that is harmful is just theory, it's not reason enough for me personally to stop. If it's actually been tested and proven to be harmful to vapers, that's a more convincing reason. There's just so much we do as vapers that in theory may be harmful, but the proper testing to find out the extent of that harm hasn't been done. That's why
vaping is considered harm reduction, and not harmless.
