If you buy the Provari, and then just get into mechs the Provari holds most of it's value in re-sale. You can't really go wrong buying one, and will do someone a service later on down the road by offering it for less than Provape does.

That said, I just got a Provari in the mail today and I should have just purchased it when I bought my first VV mod. It does everything you need it to, protects you from user errors and battery errors, is built extremely solid, and is very user friendly.

So with mine coming in - ended up ordering the Zombie Mini one - should I grab a pro ring from Loki Labs? Does anyone have those and can say yes get them for the flush look? I know people have complained about the weird look because it isn't 22mm right?

All depends upon your personal preference. I don't use them, some do. See how you like it without one first, then decide.

my mini is just outstanding.
i got the extension the warranty for 2 years. its the my #1 mod and i have a few..lol it isnt vw but is it really a must not to me
does it work YES and its tough i cant wait till my russian 91 gets here
when i got mine i was tired of the cheap feel of things on the market the provari feels like a you could drive nails with it try that with a zmax not...my zmax was nice but it seemed always vaping hot when i tested it i find it fires @3.6v at the 3.0v setting and is all over at higher settings not what i want my provari is right on the money
as for the price heck i woulda spent it on smokes anyway.....right i also bought a mvp v2 for the vw and the fact it is a huge battery
im really not a huge box mod person but i got one to try it out ...so the provari win in my book

With this set up though, everyone always says Provari is the way to go for an APV. Is it really that great? I'm debating on getting a Provari mini and a Russian 91% RBA as I vape almost everywhere I go so it seems pretty convenient. Any thoughts?

While not trying to step on anyone's toes or run one brand into the ground, This debate will continue to burn on. ProVari or not lol Truth of the matter is, i'm in the same boat. Each brand has their pros and cons. From what I've read and heard, Provari's are made in the USA, versatile, craftsmanship is top notch, and if a new update comes out and it's within the year, just send it back and they will upgrade it free of charge and that's why they are the Ferrari of vaping. The price tag on it though is something a little less to be desired. I've been actually looking into getting a VAMO V5 myself, they seem to have more or less the same features as a ProVari without the price tag, but don't forget a VAMO V5 is only 70 dollars for the full kit, so it won't, nor will likely ever have the same craftsmanship as a ProVari. Even the same goes for LavaTubes. My advice, read reviews, compare and contrast, and ask users of whatever MOD's your interested in and ask them how they like it, what was the selling point, and if they are happy with it. In the end it's ultimately your decision and your money funding it. Good Luck fellow vaper

You will be hard pressed to get a better vaping experience than a Provari with a Kayfun Lite (or Russian 91%). Expensive? Yes. But it is superior on every single possible measurement.

Yes I'm looking at the Russian 91% now and also the Kayfun Lite Plus which I feel like is basically the Russian 91% but from Kayfun because of the air adjustments. Many people I've talked to say if you get a Provari - grab a kayfun. Which I will more than likely do...soon.

Did you encounter any problems with the Semovar? Researching it a bit right now and it looks nice - especially because it can fire at 1.0 ohms where most other APVs cut off around 1.5 ohms.

The Semovar is a great mod, along with the Provari and Futura would be my top 3 regulated picks.

I'm ordering a Provari tomorrow for my 1 year anniversary. I'm getting a little tired of fiddling with my chinese mods. Still not decided on a full size or mini yet though. I like the look of the mini but like the option to use my existing 18650 batteries with the full size plus extender cap. Decisions. Decisions....

A mini with 2 Tatroe rings will take 18650. If you want to use an 18350 that would be an option. Personally can't imagine using 350's considering the frequency that I change out 18650's.

Different tanks, cartos, whatever you're using on top of the device will have different resistance and therefor will need higher or lower voltage to fire at for the best vape.

You can get the Tatroe Cone for a decent price, they also have it in brass. I have the Flashi beauty ring and like the looks. Here's a pic with the Provari with beauty ring and Tatroe ring and end cap. Like using the end cap at work, gives it a nice stable stand.

Really? Amazing I never heard that before.

Never heard this before either. Previously, it cost owners $20 to upgrade from the version 1.0 to version 2.0 (increase of amp limit from 2.5 to 3.5 amps). Link to this info?

If what you top it with is also 22mm,yes, a ProRing helps.

IBTanked make them now, too. Not sure if they have been added to the above list.

You cannot have and enjoy both ProVaris and mechs?

Hey dere

I just started a very in depth analysis of the Provari and why it is worth the dosh on friday.

Its a long read but it will clear up 99% of your questions.

I would have to say, get one!

Thanks baditude for linking my post!

You might want to add that the button is rated for 300,000 presses. I know that is a major deal breaker for some people.

I'm actually waiting on my first mech mod to come in the mail. If it's good enough, I might be able to part with my 2+ year old ProVari long enough to send it in for a well-deserved V2 upgrade (yeah right, like that will ever happen).

But if you have a mechanical, what do you need the V2 upgrade for?

My thinking was more along the lines of "I have a ProVari, what the :censored: do I need a mechanical for?" but I love the look of the Hammer. I couldn't resist. And, more importantly, it gave me an excuse to order a Kayfun. :D
