That's quite something! My feeble attempts to create a tobacco-flavored juice (using tobacco Absolute) have been dismal failures.

Thanks!

You could try Happy Vaper. They have small bottles of Flavour Art tobacco flavors. And you don't have to send all the way to Italy for them.

I haven't tried them yet, but I plan to soon.

Further testing:

90% 48mg unflavored juice
10% "Captain Black" Flavoring

Results: A sweet pipe tobacco flavor. VERY close to actual Captain Black. I still smoke Captain Black in my corncob pipe. They pretty-well nailed it with this one.

A little too light on "tobacco" and a little too heavy on "sweet" with this one. Again- I could vape this all day but I'm gonna work with it- kick up the tobacco and hopefully knock down a bit of the sweet.

Of the two I've tried thus far I am confident that I will not be buying any premixed juice in the future.

So far it's two for two

On Dan's advice, which I treasure, I ordered the Honey Tobacco flavor from Seedman.

I did not like Dan's strength, I went a bit stronger.....maybe 2 more drops...then I thought it was acceptable but not smooth enough for me.......so then I added 2 drops of Cappella's Caramel.........Perfect R4 taste.......I am proud of myself.......Finally got the R4 taste I desire.

This was in a 6ml batch.

Further testing:

"English Tobacco" flavor from Seedman

90% 48 mg. Unflavored Juice
10% English Tobacco Flavor

Yuck! I taste no tobacco in here whatsoever. I say "yuck" because this takes me back about 40 years to when I was a kid. I had the Mumps and was too young/too sick/too swollen to swallow pills. The pharmacist mixed the antibiotic with a strong "vanilla" flavor. This tastes like THAT! To this day I am wary of "vanilla" because of this. I love vanilla ice cream, vanilla tobacco, etc. But there is a certain "vanilla" flavor that makes me shudder. This is IT!

Don't discount it though- Taste is VERY subjective. I *might* be able to use this flavor in a blend. Maybe. If I hold my nose. I am pretty sure that unless you had the same experience as I did 40 years ago you'll actually like this.

I am NOT looking forward to the "Vanilla" flavoring but I'm a trooper so I'll do it. For ya'll.

***************

At this point I am thinking the key is the "Commercial" on top with gentle hints of the others such as Captain Black, vanilla, honey, coffee, caramel, etc.

This is fun!

I will have to try adding carmel! I love it at .5ml to a 9.5ml, it is perfect to me, love it. But hey now with carmel and it is like the R4, I will have to try! BTW in all flavors I am lucky I only need 1/4 the amount other people do, so subbtle to me is non existant to others.
Thanks

ADDED:
Just tried it... VERY NICE! Thanks!

I received seedman's tobacco and honey friday and have been vaping a nice mix all weekend.

1.9 ml 48 mg nic PG
2.9 ml VG
8 drops seedmans tobbaco (JC eye dropper - 30 drops/ml of water)
4 drops seedmans honey

makes roughly 5 ml at 18 mg nic that I find really pleasant. I first had the flavor 50/50 but the honey seems strong to me, and odd at first so I tasted some real honey. "Oh, yeah, that is what honey tastes like" haha Very VERY honey tasting. Thanks for this find.

And yes, thanks for the calculator and these flavor links, awesome! as I like a vape to atleast resemble tobacco somewhat more than cupcakes. If it is in the cigarette ballpark, I don't crave an analog

LOL that is why I only use .5ml to 9.5ml! It is strong to me. And a wonderful vape!

Yes, and from my measuring, .5 ml of honey flavor = 7 drops. I initially used 6 drops per 5 ml and it wasn't overpowering but did dominate the tobacco, so yes, this honey seems strong but it tastes exactly like honey. It reminds me of long ago, sometimes just the first drag of some cigarettes were sweet like this. I now understand how/why honey is used for tobacco accents.

As I was only making a 1ml batch the recipe only called for just 2 drops of TOB506 which I thought was a bit light. Soooo... I added another drop. I also added a drop of Cocoa (TOB503). I ended up adding a couple drops of VG to tone it down. It tasted pretty good after that with lots of vapor. I will play with it some more today.

sstambo, I'm really curious about your take on the cocoa flavor extender. I gave up on finding something that would give me the dark chocolate "79% cacao" flavor, but this might be interesting way to warm up a tobacco flavor.

I'm sure I'll order a few of these flavors. I'm stepping down my nicotine, and my pre-mixed options are rapidly shrinking. Thanks for the heads-up, Dan.

I just wanted to say thank you for the head ups on seedman's stuff. I have tried a lot of the flavors but marlboro and banana is the only one I like and then only a hint in my marlboro because marlboro is a bit harsh for me. I tried cutting half and half but then was to light and I tried 2 parts marlboro and 1 part vg/pg still not quite right but usable especially with a little banana mixed in.

I ordered the commercial top note flavor from seedmans. I mixed 9 drops vg/pg mix with 1 drop seedman and had my son-in-law try it he said it tasted like the JC original which from what I read is the closest some people found to real tobacco flavor but I never tasted JC original. I tried it and liked it so I made a bigger batch 10ml of vg/pg mix and 1ml of seedman commercial flavoring. I love it! It is a smooth flavor with just a hint of sweetness not sure where the sweetness comes in maybe the vg? Anyway I now know what I can do with all that unflavored nic juice and pg/vg I been buying up. I should not have to order any liquid for a long time and if FDA ends up banning e-liquid I can still vape my tobacco taste using plain pg/vg. Hopefully I will be down to 0 nic by then (if it happens).

Just wanted to thank Dan again. I got the Virginia Fire Cured and Commercial flavor enhancers. I can now make my own Virginia nic juice. I have searched and searched for a flavor I could vape all day. When I was making my own cigarettes my favorite tobacco was the pure Virginia. So I found some Virginia flavored nic juice and bingo, I've found my new favorite vape flavor.

Now my problem was how to make it myself. I was hoping that the Seedman's product would do it for me and I was right. I can vape this flavor all day long. I can also adjust it for 5 volt for use in my Prodigy. My problem now is I like it too much.

Kevin, what ratio are using...............a formula.....I love Virginia.....hopefully, you have the solution.

When I am making a new batch using unflavored nic juice I add between 10 & 20% Virginia Fire Cured flavor enhance. My base liquid is 36mg PG, I add 40% VG. When I cut 36mg TW Virginia I add 45% VG and 5% flavorings to produce 18mg juice.

I am no expert with DIY and this new Seedman's flavor enhancers. I am still experimenting. If you are cutting the premixed Virginia you should be able to get by with very little added flavor enhancer. But everyone will have their own taste.
