@VapeLuvr I got my interac card comprimised a few years ago (not internet use). The bank froze my account, called me in and I had to sign off on all the purchases that I did not make.Only then was my money reimbursed, account unfrozen and new card reissued. It took about 2 or 3 days to get back to a accessible account.

At my bank I have to wait for the fraud charges to be posted then I can dispute the charges. It usually takes 10 days for my account to be reimbursed and straightened out. I can go to the bank and immediately get a temporary card while I wait for my permanent one to be mailed out.

Yeah, a few years ago they were very quick about this type of thing. Unfortunately, these days with all of the fraud going on, they have become much slower while they investigate.....sad sign of the times.

Eek, 10 days! I'm definitely heading over there today to deal with this in person. It doesn't matter if I have a new card as I have no money in my account anyway. They wiped it out. I thought stores required ID for large purchases but apparently not this one

They usually don't check unless you actually hand the card to them. People use those little machines to swipe the card or input the numbers. Like walmart. They never ask either way.

The last fraudulent charge on my account was to a high end bridal shop in the UK. $400 for something which wiped account my account. And I had set up payments for my cell and electricity to come out of my account as well. When all was said and done, I was roughly $800 in the hole and that's not including the ISF fees that I incurred. I was reimbursed for the $400 fraud charge plus the ISF fees but I lived without money for about a week. :(

I'm the kind of person who never carries cash. Kind of wishing I had been the type to always carry cash! This is the first time this has happened to me. I'm learning a lot of lessons. I'm going to buy one of those card protectors... that is, once I have the money!

Cash doesn't do you any good when ordering online. When you go to the bank see if they offer an alternative to using your debit card online. I was happy to see that mine finally did.

In that case, I'm definitely re-tired. I have my kiddos all day and then work at night. Then I stay up entirely too late since it's the only time I have to myself.
I used to think I was a night-owl because of all the years staying up until after the kids were asleep. But, lo and behold, I'm an early bird! If I've had enough sleep, between dawn and about 10 am is when I have the most physical energy. Never would've imagined.
There is no news. The old time news died off with Cronkite and were replaced with opinion forums.
That's because the law changed. The news is no longer considered a public service that has to be honest and fair. News is now legally considered entertainment.
 Well to be perfectly honest, I'm not old enough to be "retired" yet . . . Only in "My" early 60's . . . :pervy:

Health problems COPD (17+ years), Diabetes (13+ years ), etc. = Disability + Quintuple Bypass (Feb 2016) = Forced Retirement . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)
COPD? Check
Diabetes? Check
Bypass? (and valve replacement) Check.

So, I now only work part-time, at a desk. So, semi-retired?

Oh boy, my pet peeve with vaping...

I have a few credit cards, 16 of my employees have my / company credit cards, in all the years & places we've used them including online the only time any one of them has been hacked,,,
I'll give you time to make three guesses...

That's right, you guessed it, ordering vape stuff, even had it happen when using them in person at several B&M's...

About a year or so ago in another thread, someone posted a really great deal for an online vape shop. Three of us placed orders and all three of us were hacked. I emailed the shop owner about the security of his site and he replied that his security was impeccable and there was no way my account had been hacked through his site. I had just activated my card that morning and his site was the only place I had used that card. So either the security was not impeccable or one of his employees hacked the card number. I won't order from this company again. And I won't name the site either. Sorry.

Damm Uncle. I'd say that you deserve a Big'ol shot of Whiskey for all you have gone thru. I'll grab a bottle, first drink is on me.;)

Thanks - I would join Ya' (especially if was a cocktail / royal margarita), however I haven't really had any alcohol beverages in over 10 years . . . Especially since "My" body doesn't like it anymore . . . :censored: So - Please feel free to have one for "Me" . . . :toast:

I just turned 60 at the end of 2016.I was rendered unemployable and was forced into retirement when one of the steel rods placed in my back to correct scoliosis snapped in two.

 NOT NICE . . . "My" little brother suffers with scoliosis too, but hasn't had any surgery yet . . . Hope he doesn't have too later in life . . . :(

"GOOD VIBES" - being sent "Your" way . . . :D

OMG Uncle! That sucks. I hope you're in relative comfort. Most of the time

Thanks - I really do appreciate the positive comment . . . However, Yes - it does "suck" in more ways then I wish to share at this moment . . . ;)

As for "Comfort" - it is all relative given that it has been so "life" changing since the heart surgery given I also have to deal with all it's other effects too . . . Like Bette Davis said and as many here in this thread already know - "“Old age ain't no place for sissies.” . . .

BTW: Oh YEA - As a "Gay" man I've earned "My" Age . . . So - Although I Am OLD, I'm not a sissie ! ! ! :D

My brother has type 1 diabetes, it's not nice at all. When he got diagnosed his bloods were sky high at 67, he almost died :(
Can someone tell me what copd is, my friend has it but I never looked it up!

I have respiratory problems & going out of breath is horrible, especially when lying down trying to sleep.

FYI: Diabetes can and does run in families ( 12 Things That Make Type 2 Diabetes More Likely & Diabetes ). . . In addition - "Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an umbrella term used to describe progressive lung diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, refractory (non-reversible) asthma, and some forms of bronchiectasis. This disease is characterized by increasing breathlessness." (What is COPD? | COPD Symptoms, Signs & Risk Factors | COPD Definition) . . .

AND - Although, I am not a medical professional in any way - from personal and very similar experience with breathing problems - What "You" describe in your post above could not only be from smoking cigarettes and other breathing problem (like Allergies/Chronic Bronchiectasis/Asthma/Emphysema) - it can be a sign of "Sleep Apnea" (Sleep Apnea Basics) which I was also as diagnosed with years ago . . . So - as purely very strong suggestion - Please go to "Your" doctor and get yourself checked out for these problems as soon as possible . . . Better to get a head of these problems NOW then to wait until Ya' really cannot do anything to change them to live a fuller life as Ya' get older . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I'm the same way. Dawn until noon is my productive time. After I eat lunch, I'm history.
