If you want throat hit and flavor like you get from your cigs, switch over to 70pg/30vg juices with 24mg nic strength. 24mg is a high nic level. Anything with high VG isn't going to satisfy you if you are still craving cigarettes after all this time. The throat hit isn't there with VG.

Find some Hansgen Highway juice at 24mg mix level. Vape it as much as you want and smoke when you get a craving. When you smoke a cigarette, vape the Highway juice alongside it and compare. Remind yourself that it has nic, throat hit, and flavor like a cigarette. Eventually, you will decide that you are getting nic and flavor from both and the vape is the safe choice. Set a date and tell yourself that when you cigarette pack is gone you aren't going to buy anymore. Spend the price of a couple of cartons on a new fancy mod and a new atomizer.

Once you start vaping high nic juice the rest is psychological, not physical. Your mind wants the cigs, not your body. If already has the nic it needs to get off the cigs. Tell yourself that the cigarettes are just plain harmful to your body and the vape is a better health choice. Keep convincing yourself that getting off the cigarettes is the right thing to do. Eventually, you'll admit that you don't need them. It's the decisive mind set that you need to quit smoking.
For me the thing that made it easyto quit cigs was carrying that Logic cigalike I starred with. It never left my hand. Even now, 2.5 years later I rarely not have it rither in my hand or within arm's reach.

Anyone have any thoughts on the Sigelei Mini Book 40w? I saw it for $10 and couldn't resist. The few reviews I watched the biggest complaint was that it was only 40w but that isn't a problem for me.
For that price seems like a great deal for any Tootle Puffer. Overall reviews seem positive.

Great strategy there...post of the day!!

Thanks. That's how I dropped the cigs in April of 2011. I never bought or smoked another. It's mindset as much as it is a physical addition. The good part with vaping is that you get to keep the nicotine when you give up the smokes.

ok lots of good stuff here. I am not going to quote every one, but i will update.

I think i will have to stick to 12 mg nic. anything i've ever tried higher puts a lump in the back of my throat.

Most of my juices are wta. but they are all 80 vg.

Now do tanks do better with 50/50 or will 70 vg be fine?

I have lots of expensive mods already. I also just got a new one, i have 4 provari's, 1 p3, and a new sx mini Q class, along with some others a macro, a vapor stout, and a tesla nano.

the Q class I have my uwell crown on, that set up is perfect together for sub ohming.

I decided to concentrate on using my Provari P3 with my P3 Kabuki.
i've got a 80 vg wta juice with a 2 ohm coil. vaping 11.6 watts, aka 4.8 volts.
    I usually wouldn't go above 4 volts.
atleast I am getting the wta mouth feel. even though flavor is extra light. regardless i think it tastes better than a cigarette.. and i'm not gagging so that's good right.

my poor sirens... i think i have been trying them at too low of wattage as well. I had a .95 coil at 10 watts. I just bumped it up to 14... and what a big difference. i think i'm gonna have to try a new coil and build one closer to 1.8 or 2 ohms. that was my goal when i built these two and it didn't work out for me lol. shoot for two and get one... awesome.

i definately think the gagging cough was from not having the wattage/voltage up enough. must not have really been cooking the juice.

oh and only sub ohm chasers in this town... only one decent vape shop. it's lonely in coastal georgia.

Good luck with everything. I know you've had a hard time finding your sweet spot.

I've found the Siren to vape well at .9 and .8 ohms and at higher ohms too. For me, it's a very versatile tank. I've vaped it at everywhere from 8 watts to 16 or so and it was always good.

i'm one determined chic, that's a fact jack. lol.
I should have given up so long ago.

sub ohming is nice, but it's so dang smooth. and the amount of water i have to drink isn't always convenient.

you should see me sitting here every day with 12 mods with assorted tanks and bottles of juice. it takes up an entire picnic table on my porch. And i have given half my stuff away! just gave my son my alien 220, my mom and dad each got a provari. they lung inhale at low watts with nauti tanks. does that still make them a tootle puffer?

I answered in italics within your quote, but wanted to add that they still haven't found the perfect OSFA tank and equipment. My favorite things are :-x?!?!?!? as far as other vapers are concerned. You should get all of the nic in the juice, it's just going to feel different with different set ups.

My favorite set is a 6mg juice, Nautilus X tank with 1.8 coil, on a Provari (any of them) running 5-6 watts. The juices I prefer are higher VG, but they don't have a lot of stuff that gums up the coils and wicks. If I need the Pico/Melo III I prefer 22W on a .5 coil. I don't do the TC.
thanks... i did go thru and read it all.

i do have my kabuki rockin a little bit now that i bumped it up. i was still vaping and 6-8 watts like i did my single coil carto days. and because of the higher wattage i don't have to puff and puff and puff to start getting vapor so my inhale and quick to exhale that i use to do isn't gagging me. And for the first time, in a long time, i am getting the bite from the 12 mg. and i can tell with this tank, i am going to need something less than 80vg... luckily i have a 70 vg here i can refill it with and compare the out come. oh darn, that juice is only 3 mg.

oh well guess i need to order some juice then... oh my. haha.

    Ladi,

I should tell you too that even though most of my juice is 70% pg, I have 70% vg juices too that I've vaped in the Siren, Kabuki, Vika Fantasy and Ego One. All of the tanks I've mentioned, I've been able to vape satisfactorily with a wide range of watts and pg/vg ratios. The Sirens have worked very well at different watts, different pg/vg ratios and ohms as well, but I doubt I've ever used any tank below 8 or 10 watts.

oh and much love to all of you for giving me some advice and especially for throwing some numbers at me.
the one thing that will make me toss a vape across the room is a burnt taste. Will ruin my week!

You sound so much more at ease now.

Its is so easy to get in a pickle when you have too many choices that each have their own set of variables.

Concentrating on one thing at a time does work. Even if you decide that that particular combo is not quite there after getting it to a vapable state, the experience of working through all the issues will help you with every other tank/combo.

    Will you adopt me? ;)
Please Adopt me too!....if my wife will let me!
Didn't have the chance to weigh in till now, but any of the tanks using Nautilus coils will also use Triton mini coils, and vice versa. I particularly favor the Triton mini clapton coils. The new Kabuki tanks can use these coils, I'm not so sure about the older ones.

    VapeLuvr, I got a double sided one at Murdochs. Holds a lot of tips. It's 8 1/2" x 5 1/2".
I plan to get one more Molehill Mountain tip and then I am set. :) View attachment 654165 View attachment 654169
Your pic is so good it made me try again with mine. Dragged my drip tip drawers out into the light. That helped a lot! Still blurry though.

i almost gave away my kabuki tank! right now i'm glad i didn't. i believe i have an older version..
thought about getting rid of the sirens too... now i'm glad i didn't... just maybe i will get this working for me.

this nautilus tank, it isn't hittin like the kabuki... and maybe my vanilla flavor is best in a sub ohm tank...
but atleast i'm getting flavor and not gagging. that's all i really wanted when i woke up this morning.

i was starting to think it was the cotton i could taste that was driving me crazy. i was getting ready to try a good ole iclear 30! i even ordered the coils already. that was my last hope.

glad i got on here and asked for help!!

in the mean time, i am not adopting any more children or adults... my house is full and i'm running out of funds... so sad... i know.

Your Nautilus tank will hit better with the Triton mini coils....It had me sitting there and looking at it like it was a new tank! You might consider trying a higher PG juice, like a 60/40 PG/VG, you'll get more of a throat hit.
