v1.5. How long to leave the tails? I'm figuring barely touching the bottom of tank (does it really wick ok from juice that far down?)

@The Ocelot - we were discussing the glossy Provi finishes the other night. Here is the Sangria, which I LOVE, but has never left my desk. You'll see one nic up in the crop circles, and three more down on the bottom cap.

The satins (blacks & one black & red) that have done the same route are pristine, and the ZenKotes & satin silvers (Ti & regular) are pretty much impenetrable, so I don't even count them.

So, yeah - the glossy finish? Looks good, but it ain't so tough. Your Purple Princess they are NOT. <3

The only colors I have (other than The Princess and Stealths) are emerald green and bronze. I'm very careful with them. Personally, satin silver is my finish of choice.

Pletts, I wick mine about 1/2 way down. If you use rayon, there's nothing to worry about. It'll wick like a dreamlette.

I have a severe shortage of Rayon... haven't bought any yet! Been using Cotton Bacon. Stupid name, but it works great.

I just ordered more rayon...and am using cotton bacon as my "reserve" lol

ETA: I also use a slightly bigger ID than normal, with less wraps. seems to help my crappy wicking. I love building coils, but suck at wicking. lol

How about a Gus Mod to start with. It has a 12.5amp fuse in the top cap for safety, and nice looking.
Or a GP ;)

Looks wise that's about exactly what I'm hoping for but is it "intro to mech" friendly?
Yaabsolutely :)
Every mech. mod, which is not a clone - has some sort of a locking mechanism and has battery ventilation - is noob friendly.

It is not about the mech. mod. It is about knowing what you're doing. Knowing Ohm's law, knowing not to build super low resistance coils, knowing not to short them, purchasing quality batteries, from reputable vendors, taking care of the battery terminals and sleeve, using an atty whose pos-pin slightly protrudes from its 510 housing and maintaining (polishing/cleaning) the mod's terminals (topcap & switch) which keeps you safe.
