Hello my friends

So glad to be able to be with you all again. I am slowly reading through, and am so touched by all your comments and well-wishes. They mean a lot to me and I'm sure that this collective positive energy helped me heal. I'm still a few weeks from recovery but feel human again. :)

I was too sick to even think of vaping until about 4 days ago but my icares saved the day. Anything bigger and I would have been found out. Not that I could do much vaping anyway! But hospital gowns have a pocket where I could quickly drop it when someone came to do something to me which was about every four hours round the clock. I was sure glad to get back to my Provari when I got home!

In time, I'll try to respond to your quotes but if I miss something just nudge me. So what's new in the vape world? Are you all buying new shiny toys?

Just wondering why some coils "pop" more than others? Does it have to do with the wattage level in which you're vaping, the ohm level of the coil, the juice, or something else?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Popping is generally caused by either having the wick too loose in the coils - allows for e-liquid to fill a space where is will not fully vaporize...

Or, accidentally wicking with popcorn kernels...

Or... uneven spacing on the coil, where one wrap is almost touching an adjacent one.

My next mod is gonna be a Holm something Because they can do temp with kanthal wire!
Would you say your Holm mods do temperature control well with kanthal?

I have two mods that'll do temperature control with stainless steel...but for some stupid reason none of the vape shops in this neck of the woods DON'T sell stainless steel wire.
I have several Hohm Whatever mods:) and yes, they do TC every type of wire you have, including Kanthal. The G2 is a dual battery with the ergonomics of a brick but the one that will take the most punishment and keep on going. The Slice is a single battery (26650 but you can use a 18650 with an adapter not included) with the same functions as the G2 but better ergonomics.

Nice Haul!

I don't think there will be many more.

I think I have a bit of stainless, I could send you a couple of feet for you to try.

How can a Mod do TC with Kanthal? No pun intended, I ask for interest. Imo it cannot be, how can that Mod reglulate temperature without something to measure (mainly change in resistance)?

Even though some tanks don't play nice with kanthal TC on the Hohm mods, it works on most tanks. They have written a new algorithm for it. The ins and outs of it are way above my compression level, but it works.
