I don't know if these last holiday overwhelmed some Chinese suppliers. As I mentioned I am finally getting one of my Chinese orders in next Tuesday. The other, though, has been particularly frustrating. I won't give the name because I don't want to turn this into a "vendor: negative review" post but it went like this:
July 5: placed order
July 6: payment processed, order still showing as processing, contacted vendor
July 7: vendor contacts me to tell me to be patient, order still shows as processing
July 10: order still shows as processing, contacted vendor
July 12: vendor contacts me to tell me to be patient and assures me that item is in stock as advertised, order still shows as processing
July 13: order finally shows as fulfilled, vendor contacts me to tell me that item is shipped and provides me with a tracking number that does not work
July 14: tracking number now works and shows item as sitting in their warehouse
So, about a week and a half after taking my money, my order finally appears to have been mailed. Honestly? That's ridiculous. I expect to have to wait for items to be shipped to me. I understand that filling an order takes time as well. But to take over a week just to fill an order? I won't be using them again.
