Do you have a hot pink one yet? Just $22.40 w/Free S/H when you use the code Turkey at Checkout!

Eleaf iStick PICO Simple Kit - $32.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

ETA: There's no Melo III tank with these though, it's just the mod, USB charging cable, and manual.

I love RMV!
I already have 2 pink ones from them and they are great! If I hadn't let my son use my black Pico, I would still have it too!
I have used Turkey soooooo many times!

Why rebuild

I have several stock coil heads for the nautilus Mini. Those are set aside for when ny left hand goes and can no longer build or see well enough to build.

I have never found Pre made coil head that provides the flavor my hand made coil makes.

You're probably thinking "but i don't want to build every 2-3 days.

One of my coils lasts me for 2 1/2-3 months.

I replace the wick every 2-3 days but it only takes 2 minutes for me to pull the wick, dry burn the kanthal or stainless steel coil, replace wick and cut to size and I'm vaping again. When i used Rayon i only needed to rewick once a week- 10 days

Using cotton a coil and wicking for 3 months costs about 15 cents. Organic cotton balls.

Using Rayon. The cost for coil and wicking drops to 5-6 cents

I really do need to try Rayon! I see you are in Northern Arizona! I am a proud graduate of NAU and miss Flagstaff so much!

I love those EVODs, and they were instrumental for a few of my kids. When I found them for the kids,
I thought, "If they had these things when I began vaping, I might still be using them."
They were regulated, correct? I'm pretty sure those are the ones I'm thinking of.

yes, they maintained the set output until it could no longer, then required charging - regulated (not depleting as battery drained)

and when other eGo sticks were putting out 3.4v & 3.5v , the Kanger was putting out 3.7v

the only downfall, that I later found out, was they didn't perform well with the 2.5Ω coils MOST shipped with...
since I didn't know any better, and read to just put a lower Ω coil in -   WHAT ! , you could do that without dying ?????????

that's where the vapor-hobbiest started, then building my own coils, make my own eJuice bla, bla, bla etc.

:)

I have to charge mine every 2nd or 3rd day, even the big'n, if that's any indication. I haven't even had to break out the backup batteries yet either. These suckers may end up running for a decade or more.

What a truly marvelous "find" they turned out to be. Came with new friends too, even! Who knew. :D

I hope Eric's doing OK.

You got stuck with me..... :p:p:p

I dunno (little question)

Happy to be stuck with you, XX. You really are the frosting on those delicious little stainless steel cakes! I use mine and delight in them ALL the time!

If you do connect, two people wish him the BEST!

Some time ago I read your review of the EPM you posted a few years ago and have kept my eyes open for one.

Have not been able to find one. They've disappeared haven't they?

Sadly so, Bea. :( You MIGHT come across one in the Classifieds, but I think chances are rather on the slim side. :(

Why I LOVE THE Istick Pico mod

1. Pocket friendly 10 mm taller than Mini Volt but holds a full 18650 battery

2. Fires 1-75 watts

3. Lighter weight than other single battery mods.

4. Does either power or wattage mode.

5. Very accurate ohm meter.

6 firmware upgradeable.

7. Battery goes in upside down. If the battery vents the gasses will be directed from your face

8. Very stable chip set.

9. With tge screw cap you can use either flat or button top 18650 batteries

The Pico is my favorite mod EVER! I have four of them.

TwoB, why only four? :D

When new vapers in the past have posted in the New Members forum, wanting recommendations for something to start with...I've suggested both of those to them. Many others poo-poo'd those ideas by suggesting the bigger, newer, higher power mods and tanks for them...some even sub-ohm set-ups! So, unless someone posts that they want a set-up for their grandmother or other relative who is still smoking, but very little, I don't even recommend them any more. I do know that several HAVE gotten the Evod kits because of it, because they've PM'd me afterwards to thank me for the idea.
I DO still have a good-sized stash of both of those you mentioned, because a couple relatives and several local people I've helped, and am helping now, to convert to vaping...still want them and love them! I have more of the MVP2 kits now than the Evod kits. But I doubt that'll be for long, since several of the Evod people are ready for a larger capacity battery with vv/vw capability and another style of tank.
At 1 point The Vapor Room was clearancing those kits out. I bought 2 at $13.99/kit. Then they dropped them to $9.99...so I bought 4 more. Later they went to $7.99 and 3 more made their way into the stash. When they hit $5...I bought the 4-5 they had left. So far, I've had more than 1/2 of those be chosen by people changing over to vaping. Every 1 of those people loved them!
Now, I see some websites that still have them in stock, BUT...at about $34.99-$42.99 per kit!

I used to spend a great deal of time in New Members trying to help direct newbies but got tired of getting flamed by the up-n-coming know-it-alls
so sadly I rarely go in there anymore...

seen the cheap good deals on the EVOD kits and was tempted, but just had to let it go... :(

boy do I hear ya :thumb:

I went from fumbling around with the early eGo stick batteries/CE2 tanks...

-then fell into the marvelous EVOD kit from Kanger...
-then the ALL-MIGHTY MVP 2.0...

between those two is HOW/WHY I was able to stop smoking :w00t:

I still think the Kanger EVOD kit would be a great "gift" today for a smoker convert
TWO (batteries/tanks) - 7 coils - a charger (say, maybe $20)
simple and not far removed from a cigarette (in size) which seems biggest complaint with newbies
I'm gonna go see if I can dig up my old EVOD set-up

ah yes - the MVP & a 1/5 of bourbon -- those were the days  :smokie:

The EVOD Pro V2 can be had for just over $20 and, the Evod Pro can be had for just under $20. I have the Pro and it is great for its niche.

Biggest problem I have with new vapers is that they have no idea what they want. A face to face conversation is fine if you spend about 5-15 minutes explaining things.

so for some strange reason, I've always had a gleam in my eye for those KBOX Platinum mods
just the solid stainless steel seemed cool (why ?)

would have just bought one then, but they were freakishly expensive compared to others on the market

so I just ran across one for $14 bucks - so why the heck not

I was never a Kanger fan but I have to say the little subox nano kits were one of the best little devices. I never used the tank but they were perfect for my other 19mm tanks and spheroids and they just worked. Regret passing them on to a newbie

you mean some people drop their mods ? and on hard surfaces

    :D
I know, that shocks me too. I have NEVER dropped* a mod in my roughly 2 years of vaping.**

*assuming the definition of dropped is that one second it was in my hand, the next second it wasn't

**I have however had them fall out of my shirt pocket (including once into a toilet...don't ask), knocked them off of counters, desks, etc, and had a slew of other mods falling in some fashion incidents, but those don't count as dropping, see above definition

Because i have a Provari, a mech mod, and two eVic VTC mini.

    8 mods should be enough
What is this "enough" you speak of?

While it's obviously a personal choice for everyone, I'm in the camp that assumes electronics will go bad. I am estimating that any given non-mech mod will last at best 2 years. So since I believe you said you had 4 Picos also, you have at most 14 years before your last regulated mod dies in my estimation. That's my way of thinking and part of how I decide if I have enough.

I have that in my daily rotation.

I had one not quite in my pocket getting out of the van. Almost caught it. It hit the ground from about 7 feet. It did not survive.
