I don't know if this is relevant, but I have ordered stuff off eBay and when I got the package it was from Amazon. I think it is just people having the item drop shipped from Amazon. Do you order on eBay? Just throwing out ideas here.Sorry in advance that this is so long, but I've got a real mystery on my hands, and I'd like any/all input anyone can provide to hopefully help me figure this out.
A package was delivered by USPS today, Sunday @ 2:17PM according to Tracking info. Didn't know it was there until about 6PM. Had my full name and billing addy on it. Was a bubble envelope, with what sort of felt like a DVD box inside...had a Lexington, KY return addy on it.
I knew it wasn't vape mail I'd maybe forgotten I'd ordered, but I haven't ordered anything else recently.
Just remembered about an hour ago that I hadn't opened it, so I did. Was a small box with 2 items in it that I have no use for, wouldn't have ever ordered, and definitely didn't pay for! There was no packing slip of any kind in the bubble envelope nor in the little box.
First thing I thought was...well, maybe 1 of my CC got hacked, and to cover their butts, someone had these things sent to me at my billing addy of record, but had more expensive things sent to a different addy. Called my CC company and asked about both of my accounts. Nope...no unusual activity nor transactions. So Whew...at least that was good.
Did a Google search for the 1 word company/brand name on the Return Addy on the bubble envelope, and got many results...most of which just matched the 2 products in the box. There was NO company/corporation with that name though...in Lexington, KY.
I then searched by the address only, and it popped up that it's an Amazon Fulfillment Center there. I haven't ordered anything from Amazon since about 2009!
So:
Why did I receive these items that I never ordered or paid for? I know for certain no relative sent them to me, nor any of my friends.
How/why did Amazon "pull up" my full name & mailing addy, and associate it with someone else's order evidently, to ship these items to me instead?
Any ideas? Anyone ever had this happen to them before?
If they were vaping items, I probably wouldn't be so surprised, or if they were from a company I regularly deal with, because I order a lot online. But they aren't vape related at all, and I don't even GO on Amazon.com any more!
ETA: Forgot 1 other odd thing - Return addy was Lexington, KY, but the very first entry in USPS tracking activity...shows the package was picked up by the Shipping Partner in Chattanooga, TN???
Well it looks like we might get a little wind today. Looking to go right over the top of me.

The storm itself won't be much more than an afternoon thunderstorm, the Only thing I worry about with one like this is if it spawns a tornado, I Do Not Like Tornado's.Not even August yet... :-(
I hope it's nothing for you, Burnie.

This happened to me also about 3 weeks ago. And I got a knee brace also, nothing that fancy - it was the flexible kind. Except mine came in a plain brown envelope with only a scant Lexington,KY address on it. Nothing was in the package except the knee brace. Almost forgot about it until @JCinFLA posted.I got a package a few weeks ago. It was a fancy knee brace. There was no invoice or any other paperwork. The only clue was it came in an Amazon box. I looked up the item on Amazon and found it. I had never ordered anything from the company selling the item, or the manufacturer. It wasn't a Fulfilled by Amazon item.
So I contacted Amazon. Got a reply saying it was an error. Somehow it got sent to me instead of the person who ordered it. They said they would take action to ensure it never happened to their customers again. And I got to keep the knee brace, which was a $50 item.
It was a little worrying that my name and address got into the system with a company I never did business with. I assume Amazon sent them my address in error, so the mistake was on the Amazon side.
I found out everyone I work with had their identify data hacked. So, I've been working all morning trying to find out what I need to do. Already, my boss has had 3 people trying to get credit cards in her name.I got a package a few weeks ago. It was a fancy knee brace. There was no invoice or any other paperwork.
