Is this the correct coil for the Melo 2? I'm not getting a reading on any of them!

Can't see the coil, does the head thread into the base correctly?
Did you trap the legs correctly / separate one with the insulator?
Trim them close & tuck the pos so they don't short?
Did they fire or read/measure before you wicked the coil / when you pulse fired the coil to ensure it was heating inside out?
buy the ecr or melo2 from fastech?

Yes, it threads to the base ok. It came with a device (I don't remember which one), but neither the tank or coil are from FT. I didn't build the coil, I was using it out of the box (so it was already wicked).

I cut mine into 25' sections, and put each section in a baggie.
I put my rayon into huge ziplock baggies long time ago. After removing the dust off the top of the box then noticing dust on top the plastic liner that was fruitless to keep dust out. By the time I would have gotten anywhere near the bottom the rayon would be nasty dusty. The road produces plenty of dust so its a can't win battle with controlling the dust in our house, most of the reason we removed all the carpeting cause it was making our kids sick. Seeing the amounts of airborne dust through the sun beams was unbelievable in the carpeting with dogs stirring it up all the time. I remove a sandwich baggie at a time from the big ziplock, have it in a drawer near my desk then put a few feet into a snap lid container I use when I'm wicking.

T for Texas!
Ordered flavors on Friday and they arrived today (go USPS!).
From Bull City: Dunhill and EM. They threw in a small bottle of lemon also because they're cool like that.
From Gremlin: fuji apple (cap), peach pie and cream, tahitian vanilla cream, smooth cappuccino cream, roasted pecans and cream, butter pecan pie, and a big bottle of apple cider(all WF). Since they are also cool, they threw in 2 small bottles of French vanilla cappuccino. The smooth cappuccino cream and apple cider are both reorders, and the apple cider is a favorite of mine.

First tank skin application was difficult and took several tries. I don't recommend these for the STM. It's just too difficult to get the windows to line up!

If memory serves, doubtful but I'll try, Melo tanks take an aspire coil?
Yes they take the aspire Atlantis coil, along with many other tanks. The ECR head is the rebuildable version of eleaf's EC head. Eleaf's EC notch coil is one of the best IMO.

I use only water, or soap and water, for everything.

I also remove the build out of my subtank RBA, then take the RBA apart to bits then wash it also. Even after washing the RBA as a whole unit there is still juice and cooked residue under the delrin insulator, the positive insulator also still slick with juice and I get a burny taste if I don't run a rolled up alcohol soaked piece of paper towel through the airflow shaft that comes out with chunkies and burnt residue. I then put the same build back into the RBA and march forward.
Dryburning the coil first then rewicking has left me with a YUK burny taste that spoils a fresh wick too many times so its now just habit to disassemble the RBA or just put the same build into another cleaned RBA and toss the old one into the wash-me bin.
