Never used a genesis atty. Leaking attys are a real deal breaker.

Thats part of why i use a Kompact kayfun. It doesn't leak even though it lies on the side in my pocket.

Generally true that vertical coils have the wick wrapped around the coil and horizontal coils have the wick through the coil, but I have used an atty which has a vertical coil and the wick goes through the coil (genesis style), and horizontal coils with the wick wrapped around the coil (case in point, the trico coil) ;)

But generally true :D

The calculator seems to imply 7(3mm) wraps with 28g...That does seem tight so maybe I'm better to start with the 30g...And I do believe Ol' Trig is gon'a be spending some time in YouTube Land :D
Just head over to TEMCo Industrial Power Supply and throw 26, 28 & 30 Kanthal A1 in your cart and pull the trigger. Can never have enough wire... you can even buy it by the pound. I have those 3 sizes but find I use the 28 the most.

On that note, going to have another go at the erlk nano. First build wasn't just right but I really liked the atty and I'm determined to make it work to my liking.
When i had an erl nano clone i made a 2 mm ID coil and stuffed the entire wick in the juice wells and i scorched the wick.

Next time i thinned tge tails about 30% and worked much better. That was before i used Rayon.

I think the erl nano has flavor as good as the Goblin Mini.

Just make sure the top is screwed tight. You dont want it to come apart in multiple pieces as mine did.

Seems to be working. Followed the Q video. I have to figure out a way to fill it easier though, I have to take the twist top off and kiss my bottle to the hole and hope, I don't have any needle bottle tips (yet...).

Kat would be proud of me though, I started a spreadsheet :2cool: So many tanks, such a short memory. Can't remember what build/liquid is in them all.

Proud?? BEAMING!!!!!!

I can not be without my handy dandy spreadsheet. I run an embarrassing number of set ups and I track all fills, all rewicks, all new coils, dates, capacity, the whole 9 yards. I also notate the tank, the vliquids, the accoutrements to that tank, and of course the mod. Oh, and clean out dates, too (noting the tanks that have been washed out and ready to be in service again).

It's KRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYY.

But I enjoy it.

We wouldn't have you any other way. Oh wait, we were talking about the spreadsheets...

I don't think I'll track fills but I have wick, wire, build details/date and liquid.

Now it's off the enjoy the fruits of my labor and relax :)

I don't keep track of nuthin. Juice formulas and blending wins is all I keep and thats in the ejuicemeup calc. I haven't bothered reading ohms in my builds, just know approximately what the result is of the wires and wraps, what it takes to fire the provari for work and all other builds are wrap-wick-and go, as long as it doesn't short its good to go. I've maintained my simple KISS method for the last 4+ years and enjoyed my vaping not turning it into work or rocket science. Things have become a lot simpler now that there are hitters that take such a wide range of ohms that its not to much concern that I go too low and have the hitter not fire or push my batts out of their safety zone.

I do the same thing, my 74 year old brain can't keep all my s/u's straight otherwise. I'd wager that your spreadsheet looks a lot better than mine tho. :)

As I hope to be in about 12 hours.

It just keeps getting me arrested, but I'm persistent.

Has it really been THAT long since we've seen @The Ocelot ? I thought it only FELT that long. ;)

Easy peasy!

Whaddup Smacs?

Tis a common thang. My vape energy appears to suck stuff into this particular PO, regardless of origin. Many have observed/complained...

NOW ya tell me?

(Spinning vehicle back towards home)

Actually the batteries only stayed in your area for a couple of hours, then they went to Queens for a bit, and are now on the way here--at least that's what the USPS says. Delivery is supposed to be Tuesday. We shall see.

Gone for a day and 14 pages behind...Got all caught up whilst having some morning coffee and vaping some unflavoured in my trusty KF lite atop my Pico!!!
Good Morning & Happy Saturday everyone.:)
@Krisma ... Beautiful,Beautiful artwork!!!
A fine and sunny Saturday........so far.
Oh .... I basically wrap most of my coils with 28 gauge wire (stainless steel or kanthal).I find 28 gauge a tad more durable than 30.

Great idea for one that uses multiple attys and flavors

I just use the KISS method so that I won't need a spreadsheet.

However I do color code my driptips & bottle caps so that I remember what flavor is in the damn thing.

Man I learned so much about building coils in these past few pages, especially about wicking (which is not my forte either). Has anyone here used that ceramic wicking material? I ordered some thinking that as I SUCK at wicks, it would be great to have a reusable/burnable wick. I only got a small amount, in 2.7 (I'm guessing this is for 3 mm diameter coils, which is what I've used so far?). I'd love to hear about it.

I am not a spreadsheet person, though I admire those that do. The husband's spreadsheet for keeping track of costs after we burned down the house and had to stay in long term housing, hotels, and move all over Tucson, as well as everything that had been destroyed were legendary, I'd get hives every time I heard the, "Come here and check this out, Anna..." during that particular spreadsheet phase..... Though, I think we got every. single. penny and maybe MORE owed to us reimbursed, since he's also an engineer and when our insurance company was trying to short change us, he definitely knew about it. I was feeling both lucky/unlucky as I was dreadfully ill with pneumonias at the time, and I wouldn't have known WHAT to do. With that said, he was the one that burned it up... or down, as it were. We live in a rather elderly home that we'd insured to the point of complete replacement, and he seriously considered NOT getting all the hoses or calling the fire department, but decided that effacing what we'd collected over the years wasn't worth it, I was proud of him for making that choice, LOL. With that said, we had a major housecleaning as everything had to be removed and remediated due to smoke and fire damage, and was returned to us in boxes, so I had the opportunity to thin the herd, especially my outfits from when I was briefly admin. I really hate business suits and high heels, so I had a lot to donate, I will not work as an admin again.... I can't barely control my own behaviors at times, let alone those of others.... It wasn't fun. :)
