Whoop! Just set up to have my mail forwarded to the new place starting 10/2, wouldn't want to miss any of my vapemail :thumb:

I haven't decided if this month is going to crawl or fly, we get the keys to the new place 10/1 and then have the whole month of October to move. I didn't think we needed the *whole* month to overlap but it's the hubbys money so whatever he wants to do. I am SO EXCITED!

Postage Verification | USPS

USPS is cracking down on everyone now. I got an email a few weeks ago about how they would be checking that I shipped FROM the same ZIP code I marked when I did the labels online as well as making sure the services paid for matched the package shipped. I think this might catch a lot of online sellers, not just the vape shops, who may have been taking advantage of the self-serve postage.

Yay! @RainSong! That's so exciting! LOL, that *is* the most important task, vapemail, LOL. I'm always of the opinion "get it over with," personally. My family tends to move all over, all the time, and as I grow older, I've gotten tired of the whole "pack the moving truck" puzzle, so the husband may be right to take it slower....

I also don't enjoy rehabbing my mom's houses (she is not at all good at cleaning or preventative maintenance or even NEEDED maintenance. ) I mean, we told her for 6 MONTHS that the husband would be happy to fix her leaky sink faucet, and by the time she actually allowed it, we ended up having to replace half her kitchen tiles before the sale of the house.... We ended up spending 3 weeks rehabbing it back to new (to be fair, this was in part as she helped me pay for some of my implants) and getting her going....)

The real estate lady looked at it before and after and wanted to hire us both to "re-new" all her houses, but that's a career choice and task that you couldn't pay me *enough* to begin, at this point in my life. She did get about $20K added value out of it, so I was happy for *her* but troubled at the state of my *knees* for some time.... Also, I think that much Simple Green may actually *be* toxic, and we had to hire an industrial carpet cleaner. Thank goodness the Husband did the painting....

Hope your move is smooth and easy, and that your house is an even better vape nirvana for you!

They used to answer to support@surevapes.com, but I don't know if they still do. They also had a phone number, 732-784-8273. Again though, I don't know if either are active these days.

Good people, them. It saddened me to watch their inventory go down, and their personal notes stop.

:(

One of too many...
Guess what!

I walked to the post office and they still had the package on the dock ready to go. They let me just pay the $3.87 owed on it and take it. Yay!.

Between what SV charged me and the PO charged, I think I paid more for shipping than for the product. But, I got them!

Not a stitch of carpet in the new place and I couldn't be happier. Kids and carpet don't mix. I suppose tile and vape gear don't mix either if they meet each other forcefully but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

We'll move as much as we can in the cars over a few weeks and then recruit the brother in laws with their trucks for the big stuff. Not moving our old bed either, it's going in the dumpster here and we get a new one! We've needed a new one for a loooooong time.

Yay! Happy news! I hate carpet personally, and we don't have any.

Shhh... We actually went with vinyl to replace the parts that needed replacing after the fire tile's great but all dies when I drop it. Vinyl is so forgiving, and it's not horrendous looking if you don't go too cheap. I always made the husband put in a plastic sink for me in one bathroom for my dentures, as if you drop them into a porcelain sink, that can have very bad results, and you can only repair them so many times. Thank goodness I have the Tolerant Husband most of the time, who's willing to make those kind of ADA "accommodations" LOL.

Our bed is usually one of the most expensive things in the house, as the husband has a neck fusion, and his car insurance company has to pay for it with a doctor's note, so we buy $10K beds since it really DOES help his neck. I just get to enjoy them, so I do all the footwork with the insurance company, as naturally they don't enjoy funding my awesome sleep.... :)

Congratulations! A whole month is a very good thing! Not such total chaos. No boxes full of stuff and not knowing where anything is. Time to clean up as you go.

And, here's one of my new glass tanks that I went to the post office for. Had to test to make sure the glass made it ok, right?

Thanks for the info. I had already walked over to the post office before I saw this.

Yup, SV is where I saw the Altoids box that I wanted so bad. And, then it was gone!

No carpet to lose little screws in? :thumb:
