Do scissors made for cotton wick work better than regular scissors?
I find cuticle scissors work best for wick trimming.

Highly maneuverable and stay sharp.

Available at any pharmacy or retail outlet and inexpensive.

FT has a titanium styled Kabuki for like $18, Trig. I don't think you're going to find a better price for a clone. I haven't received mine yet so I can't compare it to the original. FT really does turn out some decent clones, however.... With the bottom fill on the Kabuki it's super easy as long as you have decent O-rings. The tank pretty much just unscrews and there is so much space to refill, it's not like you need a needle-nosed bottle even, for refilling. Easiest bottom fill I've encountered thus far.

Hope all Floridians on-board here are staying safe and getting ready... And I hope it doesn't come on shore at all, though I realize that may be a vain hope.

I never thought of cuticle scissors for trimming wicks, what a great idea! :)

Just try to remember whether you're using a top fill or a bottom fill before unscrewing ....... and yes, I speak from experience !!
