EDIT to ADD: I posted this before I finished reading the rest of the thread. Glad you got it fixed, PokeMom! Once you've disassembled a KV4 and actually got it to vape again you have passed the test for atomizer proficiency!

The V4 contact pin screws into a little square nut inside the deck assembly. Once you take it out it's almost impossible to get the threads started again without removing and disassembling the coil deck.

The deck unscrews with the tank inverted and the juice won't run out the drip tip like it does with a KF V2 or V3. That's one of the features I like about the K4. The coil deck can be disassembled once it's out of the tank assembly. Just examine it really close to make sure you know how it goes back together.

That contact screw is #1 and the square nut is #11 on this diagram. Yes, there are LOTS of parts to keep straight in the KV4. :)

This is why I avoid K4's! Noooooo!!

 ZOMG - put those MOOBS away!!!!!!!

Thought I'd pop in here and ask if many of you use the on board charger on the Pico?

I've used it once or twice in a pinch (wasn't packing a spare, and thought my battery had more charge to take to work....) No problems - didn't get warm, etc.

Does that mean that you feel it's untrustworthy? I'd like to skip using an external charger completely and leave the battery in until it dies. TY

It's interesting.... I have no thought or care about using the USB port on devices with internal batteries (which can be a reg 18650 battery anyway) but on devices where the battery is removable I do. I think it's more about convenience. I can still use the mod by changing over the battery.

No, I just prefer to use an external charger for all my batteries. But, I used to use internal battery mods, so not a "huge" difference.....

I should have my new Pico next week...first one! Wanted to add to my replaceable battery collection. I don't do TC and don't expect I ever will be interested in trying it. I have some of the Eleaf 40W TC mods and have never even tried the TC part...just tootle along happily with VV/VW!
I do the same thing! No interest in TC, I want the batttery life & replaceable batteries.

Don't feel intimidated by all the parts. You will never take it that far apart! I enjoy the V4. It's a nice RTA.

This is why I like K4's

Lots of parts so when one thing goes wrong you don't have the scrap the tank. It was the first rebuildable I could get the airflow where I wanted it and you can access the deck without dumping the juice.

Everyone says that! I just think it's a bit much. I look at my +v2's & I like the design, the looks, the whole thing. Then look at the v4 & all i can think is why? Not crazy about the design or looks of the v4. Now these v5 look good to me!
