Hey TP's, I'm wondering if any of you can recommend a good mouth to lung drip tip that's non-metal?

I have probably a hundred drip tips from fasttech, but I can't seem to find one that gives a really tight draw, except for some shorties. Most seem too big, or too small, or I have some plastic ones that are great...but break when in my pocket (they're the super cheap ones)

I'm mainly trying to find a pairing for my Aspire Plato, and I do like the dimensions of the metal one that comes with it....but I just can't do metal in my mouth.

Has anyone found a good tip in this realm?

I started with the CherryVapes driptips and they have the perfect internal draw and no residual acrylic taste. Once you polish them they have a wonderful feel in your mouth.

I have hundreds of driptips (a bit of a collector) and would hunt high and low for the right ones.

That's what I've been told online in video's & here on ECF. I'm not a scientist. I go by what I've been told. And no, I don't recall who said it multiple times, nor do I have a link. In fact, this is the first I've heard advised that a removeable battery be routinely charged via usb. Disposable non-removeable yes. Removeables, no. I think that's why nonremoveables are only good for about a year.

Morning everyone. :p

Darn, is it tuesday already?!

Regarding built-in chargers in mods....

I have several18650 mods (well, ok many ) with that feature. Some claim to be "pass thru" vape capable, some don't. I'd rather not be charging and using one thinking it does when it doesn't...

Charging will produce some heat, although of course nothing should get hot. But heat is a primary factor in electronics failure. I'd rather keep that heat out of the mod, away from the electronics.

And, for me, it's just too darned easy to pop fully charged cells into my mods before going out, so I don't have to worry about it at all.

But I don't think onboard chargers cause shortened life of built in cells. Lions and Lipos are only good for a certain number of charge cycles, whether onboard or off. If you only have one or two, they're going to be cycled frequently, and reach end of life sooner.

I won't have my Pico until later today (coming in the mail) but I use the on board charger for my Heatvape Defenders, and see no reason to not use the one on the Pico. Never have any problems. I've even used the HDs in passthrough mode...no problems. One of the reasons I was attracted to the Pico (I really wasnt' hurting for a new replaceable battery mod) was it has the on board charger...and the PT tech Eleaf uses. I have used the PT feature with all my Eleaf devices and haven't had the slightest bit of trouble (other than one of them doesn't like the connection on an old USB cord that I use by the bed. The plug falls out all the time...but it's just that one and that one is perfectly happy with other cords).

I should get the Pico this morning so Fingers crossed I like it.

Hmmm....

Tips can be pretty personal, and you don't say what shape...

I tend to browse local shops for tips, so i can see 'em. Maybe?

Good point thanks, shops might be the answer here since I can actually see them clearly.

Here's the basic shape below in metal...it's not too short, or too long. I'll probably have to measure it out at some point. It also seems really similar in size and shape to the Innokin Endura tip. Maybe a sturdier version of that is what I'm after.

Yeah, tips online is a grab bag. Very few list the ID, and that can be a big factor in the vape.

And while the necessary markup at a B&M will make them cost a bit more, you're not wasting $$ on the wrong tips (and shipping!) I generally find that the markup isn't a deal breaker for me, and am happy to toss a few $$ now and then to the local shops ;)

I am stopping myself from giving you a huge blurb on driptips and where to find them.

They are the thing that you put in your mouth and must feel right, taste right, vape right and the most important look right.

They are also the overlooked part of the setup that can change the way a tank delivers vapour to you. If you are just starting to discover how a driptip affects your vaping experience I would grab different ones everytime you make an order. Then when you find "the ONE" buy up big.

I still have 2 MVP's that have been going for much more than a year and closer to 2 years. Granted I don't use them as much as I did but as @DavidOck stated battery life depends on the number of cycles not so much time. The only time I use the usb to charge is if I'm on the road and I didn't bring extra batteries. Otherwise I charge them in my charger.

I don't use anything else anymore. Hubby is a DTL vaper so the ones he makes for himself have a larger internal diameter.

Don't know if you may have posted it recently but how is your husband doing?
Hope that he is back to normal and that there are no ill effects from the bite.

He is back to normal thank GAWD. They told him it would take a couple of months to fully clear the toxins and he had some tingling in the extremities (fingers and feet) for a long time. That seems to have settle down and the dexterity is back.

It gave us both a huge fright and the whole episode was a lesson/wake up call in how to deal with emergencies.

He is back in the shed and we are in mod making mode. I love being able to use something we have made ourselves.

Totally agreed. So why stop yourself? Blurb me, I'm all ears, hah.

one perspective is you can go all forensic math on it....

the drip tip we use has a diameter of 9.2mm OD, half that and it's [/4.6mm]
round 4.6 to 5mm and there would be an equal thru hole to wall thickness of 5mm
most tips about 16mm-18mm tall ? (common)

plastics not as strong need thicker walls than metals

so what do we have - 17mm x 5mm (air tube) x 9.2mm (standard)
then a 3mm air tube would be a tight draw thick wall// 7mm much more air ? thin wall

have you looked for the rubber/silicone ones, I like those

think my favorites are the Teflon ones - clean, solid, less heat transfer

just bla,bla,bla from a lunatic :w00t:

- Drip Tips - Teflon - DesertVapes

- Soft Gel 510

I could talk for hours on driptips. :p But the reality is that I think they are so important to get right that I moved mountains to get the right ones. And when I ran out of mountains I forded raging rivers in my quest. :p

Puff explains it well.
