I'm hopeful my SXK Prime will be here middle of next week...
Still loving mine. Can’t wait to get a tube mod to stick it on, especially since I broke into the ego AIO and I’m loving the tube shape of it. Put some 12mg in it and used it as my between massage sessions puffer for the last few days.

Well folks, the Creek fire is about 70% contained! Pheeww! That was close! I may have a twisted sense of humor but...In October the brush fires on the south east of our house got to within a block and a half from us but now all the brush is gone. In the last week the brush fire on the north west of us got to within a block of us but again, the brush is gone. I told my wife we're safe now, no more brush to burn! She just looked at me and shook her head.
I have to get busy and fire proof all air vents and install a permanent sprinkler system on the roofs but the most note worthy thing is that with all the excitement of the last couple of months (read STRESS) I didn't think about smoking a single time....my juice consumption went waaay up though.

I HEAR ya, Brewster.

I think "tribalism" means that you think differently than the crowd.

See, I work off the theory of wealth and good health for my friends, with poverty and death for my enemies. One of my friends says I'm guilty of tribalism--whatever that means?

AA teaches to pray for the people you hate (along with wishing yourself and loved ones much success and happiness as well). It works. It may take a while but it does. Of course, since anger/resentment is probably one of the major things that can take you back out into ETOH/drug land, it probably makes sense.

I guess I've been practicing that one too long now, as it works, and I find my life is easier along the way, to wish only my beloveds and myself goodness, happiness and a better life.

With that said, that's MY opinion, and also, often as I'm praying for the bad person they either 1)Mysteriously are no longer in my presence/thoughts anymore and 2) Sometimes something bad will happen to them if it's a needed consequence. I'm merely pointing out what said actions do for ME.

Don't change, Anna. Yours is the proper approach (and I mean that).

Like I said, I'm not proud. Unfortunately (for me), in this rare case, I'm not ashamed either. We all have our issues, and this is admittedly one of mine. I also wish I could say that it was the only one.

I draw a personal line at anyone who consciously lies, and uses their position of authority/influence, to negatively impact me, someone I love, or humanity. In this case, the person in question* covered all of the bases.

Anna, this could go off in a long discussion, which I don't think most folks would like to hear. I took a stress test the other day. While on the treadmill the cardio doc told me I really need to find a job with less stress. I told him hate and anger got me out of bed every morning and that I liked my job. I went three minutes longer than I had to on that infernal machine. I passed. And after the cool down my BP was 118/78. Before I started the test my BP was a whopping 110/72! And this is all with no meds. So in my life hate and anger are nice things to have.

As I said, I was sharing what worked *for me*. I didn't expect a lengthy discussion nor do I need one. :) Whatever works for you is great for you. It's wasn't really meant to be a controversial post.

Got it. Understood. Agree. If we were all wired the same, life would be pretty dull. And my friend who accuses me of tribalism thinks the government should and must make everyone think and act the same. If he wasn't one of my best friends, he'd probably lead my Hate List!

Also, I don't mean to imply that I never feel hatred or anger. I absolutely do, in fact probably more than most, I merely have tools that work *for me* as I personally don't enjoy those particular emotions particularly when they hang around a long time, but I'm a human being like everyone else.

Vive la difference! I say.

So, he who calls you a "tribalist" is sort of the ultimate group think tribal member. He will never stray from the wisdom and control of the tribe.

Tribalism is the feeling or state of mind of belonging to a group, and the strong loyalty to that group. You'll find it everywhere. Fans of a sports team, adolescent cliques, political parties, religious sects, etc. I would imagine that calling someone a "tribalist" is implying that they can't function without (or in spite of) those social constructs.
