Thanks JC but I'm all set. I think you're talking about Bill the Provari repairman? I bought everything I still needed for my stash from him a while back.

But the best thing I bought from him a few weeks ago is this…my custom Ti on which I'm happily vaping as I type!!!

I had sent him a couple of devices to spiff up and in one of our communications I asked him to keep his eyes open for a Ti for me. A few weeks later he emailed me that he had found a Ti and it included the Ti end cap, 510 adapter, and beauty ring. The tube, top cap, and bottom cap were unused. Since he was refurbishing it, he gave me a choice on the LED color and window style. It will function as new with the same life expectancy as a new unit. So I'm now the proud and very happy owner of a custom Ti :banana::banana:.

BTW he's closing shop at the end of the year so if anyone has Provaris that need a spa day, now is the time.
Bill the repair expert, and Phil, the guy who has sold a wide variety of Provis and parts on EBay, are 2 different people. Both are Provari gurus.

Honestly I never thought I would have one. For one they tend to be way above my budget and second there aren't many of them around and people who have them are not about to give them up.

This one sort of fell on my lap, was affordable for me and the fact that it was customized for me makes it even more special. I'll probably be burried clutching it in my hand :)

So over the weekend I decided I wanted to try something. So of course it ended up with me dropping another $75 on vaping supplies.

I thought I'd try my hand at building some coils. So I did some internet searching for an RDA that is good for a MTL draw. Doesn't seem like there's much out there. I ended up ordering a clone Le Concorde RDA. Seems that the genuine one isn't made anymore (and they were expensive when they were) but the clone was around $15. So if it doesn't work out that isn't a big loss. But it seems like from what I read it should be good. The only other MTL option that I was able to find was the Berserker and that seems like a device that's a lot more complicated than it needs to be, plus it would have been a bigger investment.

The remaining $60 was spent on a toolkit, an ohm reader, wicking material, some 30 AWG kanthal wire, and another toy I wanted to try with it. The Innokin Lift siphon tank. I thought I might want to try squonking but didn't want to buy another mod, so I found that, which doesn't exactly squonk but it pulls juice up into the RDA as you draw. Could be a neat little gadget. Or it might suck. It was about $10.

So this could give me an interesting tootling setup. Or maybe it won't work out at all. But the majority of the expense was on the coil making supplies which I figure I'll be able to use eventually.

If it does work out then I'll be able to build coils, which would be nice since I'm finding that the best DIY juice I've been able to make so far is a bit of a coil gunker, and another one I've liked doesn't seem to wick very well and has caused me to burn the wick on I think 3 different coils.

Good stuff. Its worth it. I'm sure you won't be going back once you taste the flavour difference. True their isn't as much mtl devices, but there is enough quality ones. Depends what suits you and your style. I'm eagerly waiting for my Ammit mtl rda. Something says to me, its going to change my game...

When I was searching I thought I saw something about the Ammit but for some reason I was thinking it was an RTA. For whatever reason I dismissed it as one of my options.

Just as an FYI: Although I am not sure how well they work, but there is also the new Innokin Zenith & ARES RTA that were designed with input by Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis - both are made with the MTL vaper in mind . . . Matter of fact, there is an ECF wide contest for the Kroma-A/Zenith kit & Ares MTL RTA . . .

If you enter you just might be able to WIN one . . . ;)

Here are the links so all "Tootle Puffers" can enter too . . . :D

The ECF Thread Contest:

AND - Here is another direct link to the main ECF Contest too:

Yeah lately the grounds are blurring between RDA, RTA and RDTA... ;)

Another one i just ordered is the Asvape Zeta. Its technically a RDTA, but can also be a RDA, and why not a RTA...i mean it has a tank...

All the acronyms get confusing. I guess I thought an RDTA was one that could function as either a dripper or a tank. I'm not totally sure if that's right because I don't properly know what RDTA stands for, I just imagined it as a combination of "RDA" and "RTA".

And the siphon tank I'm getting basically turns the RDA into an RTA, right?

How dare we let this thread slip down near the bottom of page 2? Everyone's so quiet over the last couple of days...

Just checked the package tracking and my coil building supplies have been delivered. Now I just need...you know...an RDA I guess. I got the shipment notification for that yesterday but tracking says it's not in the system yet. And it's coming from China. So could be a week or two.

Hey @Nate5700, when you say RDA, you mean MTL only?
A lot of them actually do DL, or restricted DL and some MTL. There is very few dedicated MTL RDAs out there...
But, the number of MTL RDAs is increasing.
